This place is no longer in New Orleans, LA. I stopped by the address that is listed on Unilocal and had to find another pizza place…

Chicken Caesar salad was delicious. The dressing was perfect. My husband had a combo pizza and said it was delicious also. Not busy, clean and reasonably priced.

Happy to find this place. After a couple days in New Orleans the kids were ready for some comfort food. We ordered a large Meat Feast, medium Muffulata, and a small cheese. Service was not snappy but was friendly. Pizza was great and we loved the crust. We’ll be back next time we visit the French Quarter.

This place was recommended to my mom and I by several locals so we figured we’d give it a shot. We got 2 calzones and they were good! I wish the marinara that came with them was warm, it was cold and I like things hot at dinner. Still, it was flavorful and full of the veggies I requested. When we come back I’ll hit this place up again.

As an out-of-towner, my observation is that Rotolo’s is underappreciated by locals(and mostly ignored by tourists). It is easy to take for granted a local pizza chain, especially one with the ubiquity of Rotolo’s, whose pizza you can find served all over southeast Louisiana. I personally find their Muffaletta pizza to be absolutely awesome. It manages to combine the experience of eating a muffaletta with a good slice of pizza by loading it with a toppings combination of pepperoni, Canadian bacon, salami, and olive salad. One could argue that that the muffaletta pizza suffers from toppings overload, making it a little difficult to eat with hands, but I can abide getting messy for good stuff. Their crust rocks and aligns with my personal preference: it is more spongy Midwest-style than crispy Northeast-style. Moreover, Rotolo’s is cheap. A small muffaletta pizza($ 8) and a bottle of Abita Turbo Dog($ 4.50) was my cheapest dinner during my latest 18-day trip to New Orleans, but also one of my more satisfying meals. I typically eat at the bar, and their bartenders are friendly(and attractive), without the veneer and fakeness that you get at other joints in the French Quarter. I would advise that visitors go to their French Quarter location rather than the many outlets they have in the Superdome, which are not up to the same level of product quality.

Had the«meat feast» 8inch and it was great! Crispy and very fresh. You have bar or table option, very casual but friendly staff. You get to keep the plastic cups lol only weird thing is that you have to go out to the restroom. Great pizza!

My bad, In the last week I have ordered two pizzas from here, the first night maybe two stars and I thought I would give them another chance, second night it came burnt and I can’t believe I gave them another chance. I usually give each establishment two visits(or deliveries) before I post a review. Too bad, they are close and I would have become a regular.

If you think this is good pizza that is sad. It was pre fab crust, terrible sauce and cheese. The only reason we ordered it is because they delivered to te W across the street.

I asked a family staying at my hotel where I should go for dinner and a small child said I had to go to Rotolo’s because they have the best pizza! She couldn’t have been more right! It was so long ago that I went so sorry for the sucky review but I do remember not being able to use the restroom here… It might have been that it was out of order or it very well may have been that they didn’t have one.

This review is for the bar only. The bartender was really friendly, efficient and poured great drinks. The regular prices are extremely reasonable, and then they have specials on certain dates and times that are crazy cheap!

I don’t get the low reviews. I like this place. I have been coming here since it opened! It’s clean, and never busy(although, I don’t venture here on weekends or until after 7.) The food sometimes takes awhile, but I never have a problem vegan-izing the sandwiches. The salads are EPIC. Huge, and their dressing selection is enviable. The menu has definitely changed since I first started eating at rotolo’s, but it’s still good, and actually healthier. I would recommend this place for someone who wants to just eat some pizza in peace and quiet. No, it’s not fancy, it’s just a pizza joint. But, it has bathrooms and a full bar. My only advice to the management would be that if the staff is going to sit at the bar and complain, they should at least do it out of earshot of the customers.

The food is fine, the drinks are fine. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. I hope I dont have to go back though, because if you are eating at a chain when you are in the heart of New Orleans, you must be either completely sick of rice and beans or starving since all other places are too packed(we were).

Came with a group who had a hankering for pizza after a week of NOLA food and I have to say I was quite disappointed. Sure, the quantity is there but not the quality. Started with cheese sticks with marinara and spinach and artichoke dip: neither was anything to write home about, plus two of the plates we were given still had old cheese and food bits on them. Salads looked pretty good but pizza dough is the foundation to a good pizza and this place just doesn’t have it. Most of the group didn’t think enough of their choices to finish it and I would have to have been seriously impaired to think that this place had good food. On the plus side, we were 6 people and were seated immediately because Rotolo’s was pretty empty and with good reason.

Great food and they actually carry Kroenenbourg! Can you believe it? I have never had a dish here that I didn’t like. I usually get the muffaletta calzone! Mmmm… so good! The«Sweep the floor» breadsticks are another fave. This location is HUGE, so if you have a big group, they can accomodate you and it is walking distance from good Quarter bars.

Okay so if you’re a vegan, you may want to like, NOT stop here. Unless you’re really desperate. I had it a few months back — the Sicilian veganized. Awful, just awful. I guess making it vegan meant no sauce at all so the pizza was extremely dry and cardboard like. They did load the heck out of the pizza with sundried tomato morsels, but they were kind of a pain to deal with as there was no adhering substance to keep them on the pizza. Artichoke hearts were in rarer form, but still delicious. I mean I get the sauce was probably not vegan, thus not included, but I wish they had included the marinara sauce or something? I had to add my own moist ingredient at home — some salad dressing, to make it easier to chew and masticate. All in all, just not very tasty. I guess if you’re not a vegan, Rotolo’s might fare better for you.

Good pizza, bier, and service — located right as you are about to enter Bourbon Street, it’s a great place to «fill your belly» with good, flavorful, quality pizza(and calzone). Additionally, Rotolos features products from the Abita Brewery… a local brewery, located thirty miles north of New Orleans. Great bier and flavor, you can not miss ordering an Abita brewed nectar. The ale is on tap, and other Abita brews are available in bottles. All nectar produced(at least the three varieties that I imbibed) are tasty, flavorful, and worth a second, third, and even a fourth look. Andy Gator bier is 8% flavorful brew that makes you feel good! My buddy and I spent our time at the bar — service was quick and responsive. It seems that in New Orleans, probably more than other places, if you treat folks well(especially waiters/waitresses) they reciprocate.

Food was good but service was exceptional. We both ordered Abita Amber draft which was delivered immediately. Note here: We got there about 8:45 — unknown to us $ 1.00 drafts began at 9:00. The server went out of her way to get our beers but«wink, wink» not serve them until 9:00 «wink, wink». We ordered the«sweep the floor» cheesesticks — enough food we could have stopped there. Pizza came before we got our sticks finished. Both items were very good. Our server offered to refill our marinara dip to go home with the balance of the leftovers. This was not a very busy night. If the serving team was understaffed I could see how this might be a problem.

My group went here 1 hour before a show at the House of Blues and the service was pathetic. Slow and incompetent are two words that come to mine. The food was actually pretty good, but not worth waiting for. If you want to experience life in slow motion then go here, otherwise stay away. Interestingly, when I searched for online reviews(none yet in Unilocal) I found a review in City Search that began thusly: «Went here before a show at HOB. Waited about 10 min until server came. Waiter took drink orders — 15 min later brought wrong drink orders.» Enough said.
