Riverfront is a nice place to eat for some good New Orleans food. This is a casual restaurant with a good menu to choose from. The service is authentic and friendly. I had to catfish poboy with a side of Jambalaya. Mm mm it was good. They also have red cream soda that I recommend giving a try.

Great atmosphere, excellent food. The crawfish cheese bread changed my life. The manager went out of his way to make sure our group of 12 had a ball while watching Mississippi State play. Love these guys forever now!

The shrimp and grits are amazing. Our server Darlene made our dining experience better than a religious experience. The restaurant was a nice break from all the shopping we were doing. From the moment we entered until the moment we left Darlene made us feel as though we were the only people in the restaurant.

This place was awesome. Great service on the balcony by Darla. She recommended the«gator» bites blackened. Loved it. The Redfish was amazing and the Shrimp Grits my husband had was out of this world. BUT the best of all«Banana fosters bread pudding» ., I am going back., SOON.

Reasonably priced. Food took forever to get to us. They had forgotten to bring us our appetizer until after we had received our meal. I ordered the Taste of New Orleans – food was cold, hardly any meat included, and the bread was hard and stale. Would not go back.

Not really impressed with this place. Thought it was going to be awesome. so very disappointed. We asked to sit on the balcony, and when seated we had to wait forever for menus and for our drink order to be taken. The waitress apologized and said it was because they were busy– which made no since because there were only a few people on the balcony and no one was inside eating. Plus several staff seemed to be just standing around bored inside. My husband ordered some sort of white cream pasta sauce and enjoyed the blandness because he was recovering from being sick a few days before. I tried it– and it was nothing to write home about. I ordered the taste of new Orleans plate. It was ok– I kind of feel like it had just been warmed up in the microwave. The etouffe was the only one I really enjoyed. As the meal went on we still were hardly checked on at all by our server. Meh. Would not come back.

I wanted to find a reasonably priced restaurant in the Quarter with a second level patio so that we could take advantage of the usually warm January weather. We walked by Riverfront Restaurant and decided to give it a try. Overall the expirence was A-OK… solid 3 stars. We ordered the Cajun Alligator Bites for an appetizer. You can have it served fried or blackened. We chose fried. My dining partner ordered the Red Fish Platter and I ordered the Taste of New Orleans. The alligator was tasty. Must less chewy than most fried alligator I’ve tried in the past. I joked that it must actually be chicken. My meal was ok but not remarkable in any way. Of the three«tastes» I enjoyed the jambalaya most. The gumbo had good flavor but there was very little meat in the cup I was served. The etouffe was ordinary.

Not worth it. Waited 45 minutes for their trio dinner that was nothing but a rice platter.

Great service and excellent food. I had the Taste of New Orleans which is a sampler of jambalaya, gumbo, and crawfish ettouffee. The ettouffee wasn’t for me, but the others were delicious. Great value.

I thought this place was not going to be that great; boy was I wrong. Just trying to find a place to eat dinner after visiting Café du Monde(I know, I know. we ate dessert before dinner, so sue me, we were on vacation) We were a party of 8, so they gave us a table upstairs; of which we were the only party upstairs. Service was slow, but nice… I attributed it to Nawlins culture. I ordered Blackened Chicken Pasta with Alfredo sauce… simply amazing. We also got grilled gator tail. The waiter was very knowledgeable and gave us tips on stuff to eat even if it wasn’t offered on the menu. He allowed us to make crazy substitutions. My friend got the shrimp and grits, and thought it was absolutely amazing. Our waiter even hooked us up with to-go cups at no extra charge. He was awesome which cancelled out him being slow. I will definitely return when I go back to NOLA.

Ordered the fried pickle spears and barbecue shrimp with grits on the balcony. It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this as a yummy and reasonably priced lunch in the French Quarter.

We came here because Napoleon House is closed on Sundays. What a great surprise! Food was stupendous. Had the crawfish bread and a fall entrée special– NOLA pasta primavera. Holy crap. So good. Our waitress was also very sweet. Hope this place gets more reviews soon!

This place has the absolute BESTCATFISH we’ve ever had anywhere in the US. Sooo light and flaky and the seasoning is just perfect. Normally it’s available on a PoBoy or as part of a seafood platter but at our request they fixed us a bunch of pieces to take with us when we were heading home. The balcony dining is awesome with a nice view of the river area.

Four words – shrimp and jambalaya grits. A medal must go to the man or woman that came up with the brilliant idea to chop up celery, Andouille sausage, onions, and bell pepper, toss them into a pot of grits with a fistful of cheese, and serve with grilled barbeque shrimp on top. My friend and I literally ooh’d and aah’d and oh my goodness’d through the entire bowl we shared, which only lasted about 3and ½ minutes. I was in such happy oblivion that when a four-top was seated across the dining room, I shouted«Jambalaya grits! You must order the jambalaya grits!» I told the server to tell the cook that if he came home with me, I’d work and pay the bills. All he’d have to do is cook those grits every day.

Stopped for a snack since we were still full from breakfast. We ordered: deep-fried pickles, cheese sticks, and a bowl of jamabalya. All was very good. Deep-fried pickles were chips, not spears and were yummy in the ranch sauce. Cheese sticks were ok. The jambalya was tasty, but still not the depth I expected and am still searching for! Right across the street from Café DuMonde, wasn’t packed.

Been here twice recently. Lisa, one of the managers, is so cool. Chad, a bartender, is very personable and a good conversationalist. I had the Shrimp and Grits the first time I came here and they were to die for! The texture of the cheese grits were perfect and the bbq shrimp were grilled just right! Went there again for lunch last Friday and tried the Pasta Jambalaya(Chad’s recommendation). Awesome dish and full of flavor with plenty of chicken, sausage, and shrimp. Love the Bloody Mary’s here because of that marinated vodka they use!

I’ve had better po’boys for a lower price, but it’s expected at a place in the Quarter on the river. Our server was great & they do a discount for locals which is nice. I’d eat here again, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

LOCATION: Convenient spot right across from Jax Brewery in the French Quarter. SERVICE: Super nice waitstaff, very personable. They made me genuinely smile. Originally we went in for drinks. We left to watch the 4th of July fireworks on the river and came back for a late night bite to eat because we were so impressed earlier. CLEANLINESS: Very clean! PRICE: Not too bad! Pretty affordable and great bang for the buck. FOOD: I thought the food was great! Corn and crab bisque:(Yum!) I love corn and crab bisque, and try to order it at every New Orleans restaurant when I see it! I was very impressed by the consistency and by the fact that I never bit into a hard bit of crab shell(something I’ve experienced quite often!) Margherita pizza:(Great for a light lunch or evening snack) The pizzas are big enough for 2 – 3 people to share(6 decent sized pieces). The crust was cooked perfectly and was crispy and light. There was just the right amount of cheese, olive oil, tomatoes, and basil. Jambalaya:(Favorite so far!) Until now I didn’t understand the big deal about jambalaya. Now I be wrong because I’m not a true New Orleanian but I thought it was great! Thicker consistency, great flavor, no spice overkill. Loved it! FINALVERDICT: Go there!

Went for a nice lil’ luncheon with a co-worker of mine after Easter Sunday service and it was great! I recommend the Shimp and Jambalaya grits or the Jambalaya pasta! The food came out within 10 – 15 minutes and the servers were attentive and so sweet!
