Simple menu, delicious, moist chicken strips. Love the sauce too. This was our first time and it was so good. Great service, nice cashier. Wish we had this chain in Kansas.

Love the most popular option on the menu. Obvs we’re talking chicken fingers and fries but slaw and Texas toast as well. Actually as I write this I have to acknowledge what a shmuck I am. I live in New Orleans. All my reviews are for drive thrus. I have a kid. I’m tired. Maybe when I go some place with real food Unilocal will give me a «Finally Got a Life» badge.

Raising Cane’s isn’t your typical bullshit fast food joint. They serve chicken fingers with a smile and that’s about all there is to it. This one is no different. It’s a bit small, so if you’re not familiar with the area, you can easily pass it up. Just like every other Raising Canes I’ve ever been too, they don’t skimp on the ketchup when you ask for some and not only is it really HARD to mess up orders, every employee I’ve ever encountered was the exact opposite of one you might have the displeasure of dealing with at a joint like Burger King or McDs. I think Raising Canes makes it a point to hire polite and courteous employees and it goes a LONG way to keeping a customer coming back for those delicious fingers. Now…just give us more of that cane sauce and we’ll be happy!

Cane’s has an interesting story. This location itself is fairly new, and the chain is still fairly new. The chain had humble beginnings where the founder has an idea, used it as a business plan in college, and received a failing grade. His instructor stated that a restaurant only selling chicken fingers would fail. Chicken Fingers are the core menu item. Fried is the only form they come in. But its real chicken. Canes has a mission of giving back to the community. This location is convenient easy access in and out of the lot. The drive through is slow. Inside is neat and clean. The staff doesn’t always listen or understand what is going on. They don’t seem to have empathy. I have only been here only a couple of times. The music is blaring, which might lead to the staff not being able to hear the customer. The food is to the standard of the chain. I would just like it if the mission of the corporate office were embraced by the restaurants. The mission is a solid five stars, the lack of empathy on the employees at this location is a solid one star. But it is convenient.

Fast food will always be fast food. You have to know your surroundings and stop pretending like you’re some pretentious bitch. Know that you are in a fast food joint and not commanders palace. That being said, there is still a standard or customer service given is this canes location excels. Every time I cave in and destroy my arteries with grease and mayo, they are always so accommodating. You take it for granted, but they always offer ketchup but I never use it. But it’s the gesture that counts. Now McDonald’s around this city has horrendous service 90% of the time. Thank canes for giving me faith in the fast food joint.

Pretty dang good chicken. It’s must be tough to be in the chicken finger business these days. Just off the top of my head, within the Deep South you will find, at a minimum: Zaxby’s, Guthrie’s, Bojangles, Willy T’s, Raising Cane’s, and all your favorite local joints. And I’m sure I’m missing some. That said, on this first trip to Raising Cane’s, I concluded that their chicken more than holds its own against the competition. Prices are comparable to those of Cane’s competitors. The only menu items are chicken-based — fingers and sandwiches. A standard chicken finger combo comes with 3 – 5 chicken fingers, fries, cole slaw, a special dipping sauce(similar to Zax Sauce as a reference point — a mayonnaise-based sauce probably), and a drink(Coke products). Also came with Texas toast, which was very good. I would agree with Matthew P. in that next time I’d ask for more sauce or fries in exchange for the slaw. Service at this location was quick and friendly. The restaurant appeared to be clean and bright. The chicken was good(better than Zaxby’s, about equal to Guthrie’s in my opinion) — flavorful, tender, hand-breaded. The fries were adequate. I did not eat the cole slaw. Bottom-line: Most folks around Louisiana and the Mississippi Gulf Coast have known about Cane’s for a long time, but if you are in the area and, for some reason(for us it was very late and we were very tired) you want to ignore New Orleans’ incredible food culture for a good old-fashioned chain joint, Raising Cane’s is an interesting option. Likewise, if you just want some affordable chicken fingers, this eatery is worth your consideration. Give it a try.

Having been raised in Baton Rouge, I spent a lot of my college years at the very first Canes location on LSU campus as they were just starting out. Not one other chicken place even barely compared to their fresh crispy chicken fingers and crinkle fries. You could tell they took great pride in their limited, yet amazingly genius menu that never ceased to satisfy. But I’ve been to this new location several times and am now aware how possible it is to mess up such a quality tradition. For a new location, I’m surprised at the lack of quality. I don’t think they must change the fry oil very often, our chicken has tasted burnt on several occasions. It wasn’t visibly burnt but tasted awful, we can’t even finish. The fries are rarely crispy and last night the toast wasn’t even warm at all. I hope it’s just this location that’s slacking like this, I’d be so disappointed if all the Cane’s in general were equally as careless. I’m probably going to just go across the street now for some consistently cooked chicken at Popeyes for a much cheaper price.

Nothin unique, without their signature Cane’s sauce the chicken is as plain and bland as you’ll find in a city full of flavor. The fries are clearly frozen, not fresh and also don’t have any flavor!

Fried chicken. Texas Toast. Fries. Cane’s Sauce. Coleslaw. That’s basically the menu right there and depending on your meal choice, you may get some or all of these options. I ordered the Big Box Combo which comes with four chicken fingers, fries, Texas toast, Cane’s sauce, and a coleslaw. With this meal, I could try everything once and I am glad I did. I’ll now know to swap out the coleslaw for an extra Cane’s sauce. The coleslaw is pretty basic and really isn’t why you come here. The Cane’s sauce is another thing entirely. Words can’t really describe the sauce but it is delicious. Dip EVERYTHING into it, the chicken, fries, and Texas toast. You’ll thank me later. The chicken tastes great and the fries are just as good. I really can’t complain about those two. The Texas toast is amazing, definitely get a meal with it or just purchase an extra to add to your meal. There are other combo options available ranging from less chicken fingers to more, one comes with Texas toast and others don’t, it’s really how ever you want to make a meal when you go there. So in conclusion. The fried chicken and fries are great, Texas toast is amazing, don’t bother with the coleslaw and definitely get an extra Cane’s sauce. You’ll need it from all the dipping you’ll be doing.

It is all about the sauce. Yes it’s a fast food place so people are looking for cheap and amazing food that everyone in the car will like but this place just sells chicken fingers but they do it with an amazing sauce that you really don’t need much else. Price: cheap especially the more fingers you get the cheaper it gets. Food: remember to get extra cane sauce because you will want to put it on everything. Get the Texas toast too to dip in the cane sauce it will be a mouthful of intense flavor. Ambience: it seem southern décor but casual fast food chain so it is a walk up and order then sit down. Service. The lady that served me was young and perky. Enthusiastically cheerful that it made me smile when I walked up. Good service does change the whole experience. Recommendation: put cane sauce on everything. Even start cooking with it. Cane sauce fried rice tonight!

I was really excited about Raising Cane’s FINALLY opening a location in New Orleans parish and not having to drive to either Metairie or the West Bank to get my fix of their«secret» cane’s sauce. I’ve come here 3 times already since they opened this location and been disappointed. I don’t know how you can go wrong with such a simple menu with very limited options, but this location has done just that. Their fries & even their chicken fingers have been soggy and hard to eat every single time I’ve been there in the very little time they have opened this location. Maybe the store is just too new but perhaps the company should send in employees from other locations in order to train or advice this location/employees.

I’m pretty sure Cane’s sauce has crack in it. I mean, how else do you explain how good it is when, like me, you absolutely abhor mayonnaise?(And, let’s face it, that sauce has to be no less than 50% mayo. But anyway.) I was excited when I found out that they were opening two Cane’s Uptown because sometimes, just sometimes, life calls for chicken tenders, crinkle fries and Texas toast. I’m typically a Popeye’s girl, because I prefer my chicken spicy, but Cane’s has its place, too. It is a great addition to the neighborhood. I visited this brand-spanking-new location for lunch on the Saturday after it opened. Do I really even need to talk about the food? If you’ve eaten at one Cane’s, you’ve eaten at them all. The food was exactly what you would expect. It came out quickly and was served piping hot. But that’s what I expect from Cane’s, so it wasn’t like that was a surprise or anything. I was, however, totally blown away by the service. I know it’s new and all, but the employees working on the day I went sure were pumped about their jobs and all seemed genuinely happy to be there. It was definitely a nice change of pace for a fast food joint. I dined in– during my visit, I was greeted at the door, had my order taken by a very friendly cashier and had no less than four employees stop by the table to check on me and offer refills. It was a little overkill after the fourth(or fifth? I lost count) employee stopped by, but it certainly was nice to see that they were all so gung-ho about doing their job… I will take over-attentive vs. the alternative any day. They also had a security guard on duty inside, which is always a positive.(They also have a drive-thru, which is always nice.) The thing that really struck me the most about this location was they had some pretty great artwork on the walls. There was a Frenchy(on canvas, but I didn’t get close enough to see if it was an original), an original Dr. Bob, a signed Terrance Osborne print, a Mardi Gras Indian costume and.? I feel like I’m leaving one out, but maybe not. I’ve only been in a couple of other Cane’s and, honestly, haven’t paid much attention to their walls/décor before, but I was impressed by the local representation covering the walls of this location.(And, the security guard in the middle of the day suddenly made a lot more sense once I looked around.) Anyway, as nice as it all was, including the service, I just can’t give more than 3-stars for fast food. So, that’s what they get. I am glad to see they’ve joined the neighborhood. I’m looking forward to the even-closer-to-home location that’s opening this week on St. Charles.
