Best Iced Coffee in the world. I see they are the original which makes sense. I love the fresh baked pastries and the atmosphere!!! Great hot coffee. «WINDSORCOURT» is my favorite!!!

I don’t usually write reviews of chains but I have to tell people about the good and bad of this place. The good: They have a great afternoon coffee happy hour. The Bad: The wifi is crappy. Most people will just come in and get a drink but to do work in I do not recommend. I tried the granita at this location it was great and a small at happy hour is under $ 2.

I stopped here with my sister to get a cup of coffee one day, and I noticed something very strange. There was no music. Nothing but dead silence with people studying. I guess it’s great to come here if you want somewhere quiet to study, but I was almost afraid to talk to my sister while we were waiting for our order because that’s how SILENT it was. I did see a sign on the door that they had a live guitarist on a certain night so I know it can’t be that silent all the time, but I enjoy going to coffee shops to people-watch. Part of what makes people-watching fun is the hustle and bustle and no offense, but this coffee shop just seemed too boring for me. If you are looking for somewhere to study though, great place! I’ll just stick to my Starbucks on Harrison…

My favorite coffee shop besides The Rue on Oak. I’m here so often I should have my own table. Lol Anywho, my favorite is the Arnold Palmer, chocolate chip cookies, and the sandwiches are yummy! Nice and cozy atmosphere, but around 5 pm weekdays it’s super busy!

Drove out here today when we couldn’t get a table at the Bean Gallery. Never exactly hung out in Lakeview before, but desperate times… Seriously though, super nice new PJ’s. Large and spacious and good mix of table sizes. Really friendly barista dude was trying super hard to chat with everyone but not in an annoying way. Will come back; think it would be a great place for me to meet clients as many come in to Nola from Metairie and this is a fair half-way point. Hope it stay clean and modern and doesn’t get sloppy like the gross American Can PJ’s. Good luck!

I’m not sure how many Coffee shops the Lakeview area can support, but P J’s on Canal Blvd. is officially open for business; and I for one am actually glad, as it is in walking distance of my home. This particular P J’s is located on the South side of I-10 in the building that used to occupy Plantation Coffee House and the only other coffee shop on this side of I-10 is Lakeview Brew; which happens to be less than 300 feet away. Regardless, I am a fan even after only one visit. Contrary to RD.‘s comprehensive«one sentence review», I found the shop to have lots of empty seats on a Thursday afternoon. I did see a half dozen students, but I didn’t see any«deadbeats». SOrry RD. However, being this close to Delgado Community College, there is always the chance of significant student activity. But kudos to PJ’s for recognizing the niche that needed to be filled. This PJ’s is brand new so everything looks great; especially the new slate floors. There’s a flat screen tv on one wall and ample seating inside. Aside from the six 4-top tables and one 2-top table inside, there are also three booths, which are perfect for having coffee and conversations, as well as study sessions. There is also a seating area consisting of two lounge chairs and one love seat; which I plan on utilizing one lazy Sunday morning when I am not working. The condiment bar(sugar, cream, milk etc…) is huge. And this is good because I hate a crowded coffee shop whereby I have to wait in line just to get some sugar. In fact, it’s so big that there’s even a toaster and microwave oven for your convenience. Our barista was very friendly and had our coffees ready in just a matter of a few minuets. All P J’s use the same local coffee which is roasted right here in the Big Easy, so there are no surprises here. There was also a nice selection of pastries, but I did not sample any on this visit. The place also seemed very kid friendly, as my 19 month old continually wanted to tell everyone hello(over and over). But hell, this isn’t a friggin’ library, so In my opinion, one should expect to hear chatter and conversations. Isn’t that what coffee shops were originally intended for anyway?

On our first visit there was no place to sit because the place was full of college kids and deadbeats sucking up the free wireless. Blueberry muffins and other pastries are good however, and the long hours on Sunday are appreciated.
