Wish we would’ve been able to try this place. It is temporarily closed due to flooding that happened 5⁄9.

Just finished lunch here with a friend of mine, and I can’t wait to go back! I might be heading back for dinner tonight… It was quick, even though there was a bit of a line right at noon, we didn’t wait for too long. My friend and I got salads, drinks, and some chips and dip for a total of $ 20 I think(she paid…). The veggies were fresh. The spicy pico is indeed SPICY and freshly made. Also, I could probably have just had a cup of the cilantro ranch dressing. That is the marriage of 2 of my favorite ingredients. The service was warm and friendly both while we ordered and when they said goodbye to us. I am so excited to have found this place!

I tried the pork burrito, it was delicious. The vegetables were fresh. My wife is vegetarian and she loved the veggie. Yellow rice and beans were so good. Staff was very friendly. Restrooms were clean. I definitely go back.

Came in here as we were walking by. Reminds me of a moe’s or a chipotle. The wife got a steak rice bowl w her preferred fixings and i got the mahi mahi tacos. We loved both of our meals. Decent price, flavor is good, definitley worth a try. There was no wait and the staff was friendly.

Great spot! Went here for lunch on a weekday and was able to get my food and sit down pretty quickly. I got tacos — 2 ground beef and 1 chicken. Both were good but the ground beef was delicious! All the girls working behind the counter were very friendly too. Would highly recommend this place for a quick lunch!

Just wanted a fish taco for lunch. Didn’t realize they had to go catch one first. They don’t tell you until you pay that it’ll be 5 min. Waited 15 min and it was mediocre at best, maybe an ounce of fish. In fact it wasn’t mediocre, it sucked. Staff was flustered and disorganized. With so many other options in the CBD this place will struggle. I wouldn’t come back if it was free.

This is a great Mexican lunch spot in the CBD. I love the options here — comparable to Felipe’s, or a chain like Chipotle/Qdoba. The restaurant is small inside — definitely gets«cozy» during a busy lunch rush!

Located in downtown New Orleans(two locations), the staff were polite and efficient. The prices are good, and you get a hugely-stuffed burrito. I got the chicken burrito, fully dressed, with white & Mexican rice, pinto beans, onions, pico-de-gallo sauce, jalepenos, sour cream, lettuce, and two kinds of hot sauces. The hot sauces weren’t really very hot, but the burrito was delicious. I would return to this place! RJT

Good fish tacos. I don’t like that you can not buy a la cart, you are forced to get a combo deal. 2 fish tacos + chips, pico, and guac is $ 10. The menu is basic, burritos and tacos. Good, fresh, quick food. As of Feb2015, no more horchata.

The staff was exceptionally polite and cheerful, something sorely lacking in most CBD restaurants. Had a steak burrito with Spanish rice and black beans. Everything looked and tasted fresh and tasty. Overall great lunch experience!

Pretty good food… somewhat cramped space. Fast service. I usually come here for a quick lunch. No real complaints.

One of the best deals downtown for lunch. A huge chicken salad made-to-order and a very healthy portion of chips and salsa for $ 8.67. Service is great and the folks behind the counter always have a smile on their faces. The only complaint I have is the forks are way small, but guess that just forces me to take smaller bites!

NOHUBRIS, UNLIKEFELIPE’S(whose hash-slinger attitude has gotten so tedious); NOTASCROWDEDASFELIPE’S; cafeteria style taqueria; clean, large dining room. CHEAPERTHANFELIPE’S: a huge 1.25LB steak burrito loaded, just $ 7. I DON’T UNDERSTANDTHELOWRATINGS. No it’s not«La Fonda on Main» in San Antonio, but for what it is: an inexpensive, adaptively healthy, fresh, AND locally owned taqueria we are darn lucky to have it in the CBD.

I used to live in New Orleans and this place was around the corner from my office building. This was my favorite place to get lunch when I didn’t bring my lunch; in fact, it was pretty much the only place I went. Their burritos were really good; I liked the fresh ingredients as well as the fresh chips and salsa. I don’t even like Mexican food but this place is really good.

This place is a good deal if you work in the CBD and need something fast during your lunch break. There’s never a line, and the seating is usually pretty open. The burritos are generic, but good. You don’t get too many options for your burrito fillings, but they have enough stuff to build a decent burrito if you’re not too picky. My order pretty much always lands right around $ 10.

Yet another great lunch option in the CBD. Oso’s occupies the space vacated by Froots. It’s a standard ‘make your own burrito’ place in the same vein as Chipolte, Izzo’s and Felipe’s. However, this is a smaller, more stripped down version. The menu is very simple. A standard white tortilla will surround the fillings of your choice. You get to pick from three different meats or go veg with beans. I went veg and was not disappointed. The beans and veggies were pretty fresh and I give them bonus points for having pico de gallo in 3 different heat ranges. The spicy pico was surprisingly good and added serious flavor. A burrito will set you back six dollars and change and you’ll be out the door in no time. They may not have all the options like Felipe’s, but they have mastered all the basics.
