It’s not locally owned, but they’ve got a convenient location downtown and if you catch one of their MANY2-for-1 or 3-for-1 sales or the occasional 50−75% off then you can get some great suits and other clothes for an extremely reasonable price. The styles are not cutting edge by any means but if you’re truly into fashionable attire you’re not shopping at Jos A. Bank anyhow. My main issue on the clothing side is lack of options and the fact that tailoring always take 2 – 3 weeks which seems quite excessive for a retail store focusing on menswear and wanting you to spend hundreds of dollars with them — it’s not exactly like most guys plan ahead. That being said, get your deals now because it’s only a matter of time until Jos. A. Bank merges with Men’s Wearhouse and then nobody’s going to find the deals you have today from either one of these national players in the menswear market. Jos. A. Bank also offer tuxedo rentals which I used for my wedding a couple years ago and this is the reason I’m bumping them down from 4 to 3 stars. My tux was sized wrong and that’s the last thing you want to be dealing with in the days before your wedding so it was quite a pain in the neck and I still ended up with a vest that was too big even though the coat was swapped out in a day. If you’re buying clothes Hampton or any of the other folks will take care of youhas taken good care of me, but for tux rentals I’m pretty sure there are better options that would be a better choice — it really seems to be a secondary thing for Jos. A. Bank and I don’t think I would trust them next time for a tux that fits and looks decent.

Friendly and knowledgeable service, quick turnaround on tailored items! I’ve purchased numerous items at this store and always leave satisfied. No, it’s not bespoke. But the clothes are quality, if the styles a bit stodgy. The saleslady I always deal with is honest about how an item fits and whether or not it’s appropriate for my middle-aged self. The turn-around time on tailored items is outstanding. The«no-questions-asked, I want-something-done-over-again, I’m-just-not-happy-with-this» policy of returning or re-tailoring an item is commendable. The CBD location is truly outstanding. I can pop in within a few minutes from my office and get just about any clothing item I need, in good time.

I’m just not a fan. I have bought several suits from them, but caution everyone out there, do not buy from them if they’re not having a sale. The frequently have 2-for-1 or 3-for-1 sales, which is what makes their clothing a good deal. In terms of fashion/style(and I’m not a fashionista), I would say they’re okay(at best). I guess that’s what you get in the mass-production supply-chain focused world. So, I’d give Jos A Bank a 3-star rating nationally(website, clothing, wedding rentals, most stores). But, the service at this store stinks. They tend to be well staffed, but they ignore you. They tend to be complacent and will talk to each other behind the counter. They take the attitude that the customer is interrupting or is a pain to deal with. Whatever. I go back when they have their 2-for-1 or 3-for-1 sales.

Seriously the most helpful and courteous shopping experience I have ever had. I believe the associate who helped me was named Hudson; and he efficiently took me through getting a suit and a shirt for a decent price, no b.s. over selling. He was then able to get my suit tailored THATDAY for a wedding the following day. Nearly restored my faith in the mens’ retail clothing business.
