They are now measuring wine by the glass with a little carafe thing, so disappointing. A little stuffy compared to the past. Still a cool place with great service just could not believe they turned so cheap on the pours of wine.

Anyone that would rate this restaurant less than 5 stars should buy themselves a case of Coors light, drive into the Arkansas woods, and eat wild hog. They are morons. This is a fantastic place.

I have never experienced such rude unkind behavior. The entire experience was a bummer! Hateful. Read all the reviews. It’s not the NOLA Experience one would want!

This was a nice little diversion from Bourbon street. It’s a tight place and if it’s going to rain, it’s even smaller as they can’t sit people outside. It might be a good idea to make reservations. The wine list is extensive and they had a good mix of options to choose from for meals. We had the white fish(special for the day) and the house cut filet. Both were done well with a light breaking on the white fish and the steak was cooked well to order. The steak was a little light on flavor however might be good for those that really like a light accent to the meat. We’d go back.

I will be back! Our food, service and atmosphere was great. Thought we were popping in for a small bite to eat and a glass of wine but ended up staying a lot longer. First visit there and had no complaints. This will be one of my regular stops when I visit.

Fell in love with this spot my first night. Was conveniently locatted across the street from my hotel. In a town where I swear not to eat at the same place twice during my trip I broke my own rule. Second night I started with a cup of gumbo and, I must say, it is superb with all tbe depth of flavor and richness that you expect. Raspberry butter on bread is magical. Ordered lamb and it was the best thing i have eaten thus far. Great staff: Warm and welcoming. Enough chatting., time to eat

My visit here was short, but sweet. Chill scene right off of Bourbon Street, primarily a wine bar. Small dining area adjacent to the bar, lovely garden in back with more seating. I don’t know if there was some occasion that I didn’t get the memo about, but it felt like there was a meeting of the Real Housewives of New Orleans(is that even a thing?) and their spouses/families. Think wealthy people looking like they were gearing up for the Kentucky Derby or something like that. It was very interesting to observe, and I can assure you that my friend and I contrasted with that bunch considerably. Nevertheless, we had a great time, enjoyed the friendly service and oh, yeah… the BACONHAPPYHOUR.(drops mic)

Loved this joint! You must have the Gruner ‘lois’ as it accompanies the oyster perfectly! The wine selection is incredible and the staff knows the ins and outs of the vino. Thanks for a cozy beautiful place to land. You bring CLASSY to Nola. LOVELOVELOVE the piano! as a side note… the jambalaya was something else… wowzah! :)) Thank you!

Bacon happy hour. can’t get much better than that. Until you see the wine prices and try the garlic baked Brie! This is a must visit in the Quarter.

A gem. First off, Grapevine was easy to get into ON A FRIDAY without a reservation. This cannot be normal. Next, nice service, great food, generous portions, jolly raucous NOLA atmosphere. The shrimp remoulade is a standout– big shareable portion, good shrimp, perfectly(eg lightly) coated in a nice horseradish-ey remoulade. And served in a conch shell bowl! Very fun. Also good gumbo, authentic New Orleans French bread, and great roasted oysters. Yeah, we liked it. And reasonably priced.

My advice, look elsewhere. I would not recommend this place to a friend. Look close there are a lot of similar reviews to this, that I missed earlier. You know, it takes a lot for me to give a one star review, but man my experience tonight deserves it. Yes, we walked in 5 minutes before happy hour ended. We were seated and asked the person who seated us(at 5:59 if we could still partake, she was so nice and said«I’m not sure, let me check» and ran off. In steps Kari, our waitress. My kind, 70 year old mom asked her. The response was a cold«No. It is 6:02»… which it was 6:01, but I digress. I kindly said, «oh the lady who seated us was checking». She just stared me down. Now this isn’t my first time to the rodeo, some restaurants have a 5 minute grace period, some don’t. We were just asking. So, we all started with a round of waters so we could peruse the menu. When she returned my mother asked if the wine flights were only a happy hour thing. She returned with a cold«yes». Now at this point, in my mind, she could have turned things around and said something like«the flights are only available during happy hour, but which one were you looking at…» followed by a «what I suggest is…». Nothing like that, she walked away. Now, I am in restaurants in New Orleans at least three times a week, if not three times a day, as was the case today. I know good service, and I know bad service. We are often tempted to try a plethora of items from the menu, no matter what the cost. At this point, I was ready to leave because we all know there is not a shortage of restaurants in the area; however, my mom and her friend are from out of town and were excited by the menu. My husband, daughter and I reluctantly shared two appetizers, and my mom and her friend ordered two small plates to have with their wine. Our waitress, Kari was incredibly rude. She never came back to the table to check on us(we wanted to order more, but she obviously could care less). So on to the food. At the table we had two orders of crab cakes, which were delicious and had nice chunks of fresh crab. We also had the garlic brie. We are used to having a sweet brie, and this was a delicious variation. There was also a salad at the table that was enjoyed. This place has been on my list for a while. I was excited to try it on such a beautiful evening with a seat in the gorgeous courtyard…(oh, I can’t fail to mention that we had some sort of air conditioner in our ear at the table that was a little unpleasant). It is truly sad that one server can make such a difference in an experience. What is also sad, is that all of the other servers and workers seemed really nice.

This place is the highlight of my stay in New Orleans! It was recommended by my boss. Everything about this place is magical. As soon as you are seated, you will be offered an appetizer of free crispy bacon! We sat in the courtyard and enjoyed two bottles of wine for $ 18 each! Yes! $ 18! They have a happy hour from 4:00 to 7:00 and from 10:00 to 12:00. The cheese platter we ordered, the gumbo, the oysters were all very tasty. The service was great, genuinely friendly staff. This place is a must.

Orleans Grapevine is truly one of the best kept secrets in the Quarter. Amazing courtyard, super friendly service(I’m talking about you, Sunshine!), awesome wine selection, mussels extraordinaire, BBQ shrimp on par with Mr. B’s, freshly baked bread, delicious soups(including the best gumbo in town) and unique salads.

This was some of the best food we had while we had in New Orleans. We got the amberjack which had amazing flavor and we also had the sea bass ceviche which I could have everyday. The atmosphere was perfect as we ate our delicious food and split a bottle of wine.

We had an amazing time here during happy hour. We relaxed in the pretty courtyard, enjoying flights of wine, sharing appetizers, and the cheese board. Everything was delicious, the ambiance was chill and classy but not pretentious. Good service, too. Great little place.

The best dinner in NOLA. We just returned from a weekend in New Orleans, and we had to have dinner at Orleans Grapevine. The stuffed flounder was outstanding and the rack of lamb was prepared perfectly. The service was on the spot. If you want to hit the chains that have invaded the French Quarter, of ahead; if you want quality, go to Orleans Grapevine. You won’t find a better quality meal.

This is a true gem in the French Quarter! It boasts an awesome Happy Hour with FREE bacon… yes I said FREEBACON! The staff is friendly and attentive(we love Stephanie) and the intimate courtyard is amazing! There are lots of local favorites on the menu including Barbecue Shrimp but by far the star for me is the cheese board with rotating selections that are always delicious. I’m also in love with the daily«butters» that accompany complimentary fresh warm French loaves. Half price bottles of house wines during Happy Hour is the icing on the cake!

This place had so much potential when we saw the inside and decided to sit at the bar! Then we met our bartender… she wasn’t friendly and seemed preoccupied with cleaning up for the night. The Brie appetizer was ok, but I wished it had been melted more it was lukewarm at best. We never got to do much more than wait for our bartender to come back before we were ready to go. The $ 5 happy hour wine helped soften the let down of this place.

Great wine and cheese bar in the Quarter! Outside back seating is quiet and intimate with lights and water fountains. Love this place! Cheese plate is delicious! A ton of wines to pick from. Favorite spot in the Quarter!

My husband and I stopped here while waiting for a dinner reservation. You never know what to expect just walking into places, but our server was very cheerful, attentive and made sure we were content. The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was welcoming. It wasn’t a stuffy kind of wine bar. It was laid back. The courtyard is pretty romantic. It was a bit of a cold and drizzly night, but the umbrellas were large and I didn’t feel a drop. There were also heaters to keep us warm. The baked brie with garlic sauce was great. I wish I could remember what wines we selected. They were the cheaper varieties, but still fantastic. We would definitely visit again.

The first night we walked in the door and had to wait for a table and the bar was covered with dirty glasses and there were two bar tenders. When we got out table, our waitress when told of our issue with the bar — dirty glasses — she said she was the restaurant manager that night and they would correct this deficiency. She knew her menu and was able to make great suggestions. Now the wine list was way too pricey — Louisiana Bistro wine prices are half what the wine prices are here. We went back another evening and this time we had another business associate and she hails from Belgium and now lives in Jerusalem and knows food and restaurants. The second evening we had to tell our waitress not to clear the table until everyone was finished with their meal. She was indignant and when she did clear the table she stacked the used dishes in a large pile. Not acceptable. Food was good and priced well but the Louisiana Bistro beats this place in every measure.

The food was great! We ordered lamb and angus. They were both really good. The only reason I took a star off is because the tables are too small for parties of 4+. Think those round tables should only accomodate upto 3 people… We could not comfortably eat in that little space with our purses on the lap. We had to asked for extra chair to put our coats and purses. I wish they had larger tables…

I first came here in April as suggested by the ladies at the New Orleans cooking school. While they talked up all the amazing appetizers, they didn’t even mention bacon happy hour — a bonus! So this was our first stop when returning again to New Orleans for the holidays with my son. We sat at the bar because I wanted to chat with the bartender and maybe some other folks to get an idea of what to do for the holidays in the Big Easy. My son and I shared the baked brie with garlic cream sauce, the bacon wrapped scallops served on rice, and the incredibly tender angus medallions. Super-yummy. I ordered a sazerac and our delightful bartender, Sunshine, set about creating a drink my son(recently 21) would actually LIKE. I’ve tried all sorts of things, and so has his dad(who owns a bar), and we have had no luck. Until NOW. After talking with my son, she made him a cocktail with lemon vodka, hibiscus syrup, and Sprite. It was a Christmas miracle! …served with bacon. We plan to return at least once more during our trip for another round.

This small wine bar is hidden behind the St. Louis Cathedral. It came recommended to us, so we have it a shot on our little weekend away. The space inside and out is very limited. We sat in the courtyard, and while it was a warm night in May, we stayed fairly comfortable. My friend and I each elected for a wine flight, which gave us a few different options before electing for a full glass choice. The service was good — nothing over the top impressive. My only real complaint was the limited space, and the food was good but not great.

The atmosphere was quiet and a little romantic, but there were more groups of business travelers than anyone else on a Tuesday night in December. There was a player piano instead of piped in music. Our server, Stephanie, was friendly without being overbearing, she was full of friendly chitchat. She knew the menu inside out and made some really excellent suggestions for both food and wine. She managed to find a bottle of wine that even with our divergent tastes, we all enjoyed. Though this is not a «cheap» restaurant, we thought it was good value for money. We couldn’t decide between the balsamic strawberries or the garlic cream sauce with our brie appetizer, so we got both.(The strawberries were the way to go, but the garlic cream went well with the steak.) The filet was tender, perfectly cooked, and covered in crawfish de glacé. The lamb was flown in from New Zealand, butchered in house, and also perfectly cooked. The New Orleans BBQ(beer based seafood stew) was not at all BBQ, but also very tasty. We left happy and full to the brim.

Love this small little place! Just one block away from Bourbon st, this little gem is a great place to have a glass of wine, or a flight of wine to pair with their cheese board, or even have dinner there. We stopped by this place twice: once after dinner to have a glass of wine and hang out with friends before going to Preservation Hall and once before dinner. Didn’t have a chance to eat here, but I did look around: some of the plates looked yummy, especially the pork chop. One guy sat at the bar by himself and he literally destroyed that piece of pork chop in 10 min! The staff is very nice and easy going. The place is small though.‘probably wise to give them a call before heading over if u have a group bigger than 6 people.

We returned to this venue after our last trip to New Orleans because the Bbq shrimp was amazing with a lemongrass Thai inspired twist! We were so disappointed. The bbq shrimp was the same shrimp that you can get at any other restaurant in New Orleans but over priced! We noticed that every other table around received a complimentary«cup of bacon».We thought it was a special on the menu but come to find out it was actually free when you showed up for happy hour! We didn’t receive any! Carrie, our waitress informed us that they did this every day! I own a restaurant and love to eat and drink but have never felt so neglected and forgotten! Don’t waste your time stopping here. Go down the street and get amazing food and service at the French Market restaurant and bar! The wine selection is nice.

Good atmosphere with a nice courtyard patio. Yet, we were told we would be seated in the patio in 10 minutes then pushed back by 10 minutes then pushed back even more. An hour later we are leaving the bar without being seated. The salad had 5 forkfuls of lettuce, yet the bread pudding was pretty good. The Sazerac was too bitter and did not have real absinthe.

Love this quiet small place, not even a block off bourbon street, but a whole different world. The atmosphere is calm an serene. The courtyard is beautifully decorated and the food is outstanding! I’ve been here a few times, but this was the first time I’ve dined alone here. The staff was attentive, but not overbearing. Grapevine has a wonderful wine list and menu. Many local offerings. Not sure what to order, they are great with the recommendations! I had a wonderful goat cheese salad and local fish dish. The only thing I didn’t love was the key lime pie, but that’s just my opinion, there was nothing technically wrong with it.

Great environment, the courtyard is beautiful and a real treasure in the midst of the Quarter. Get a flight of wine with a bacon happy hour. Quiet and relaxing amid the usual noisy French Quarter eateries. You won’t be disappointed with this venue. Enjoy it with someone special and make a wonderful memory.

We were pleasantly surprised to find this spot. We waited a short time to dine in the courtyard, which was lovely & secluded from the crowds on the street. Lights under the table umbrellas and a pretty fountain were a nice touch. We enjoyed the rosemary bacon wrapped scallops and the crab cakes. Both were excellent. Gumbo was pretty good, but not tops. The wait staff was excellent. Efficient and friendly, and paid attention to details. We were treated well, though we dined only on appetizers.

I stopped by here after a few days spent eating heavy yet oh so tasty Cajun food, I needed a break and wanted something a little lighter but still delicious. the Orleans Grapevine hit the mark! First, the restaurant is really cute-small and romantic-but the patio is the real winner here. Cute little tables with twinkle lights, and each table had a heater underneath the umbrella-unless it’s raining sit outside! The waitstaff was all wonderful, so helpful and really knowledgeable about the menu. The wine list was of course impressive, from high end to low end-tons of options for every taste. Now, let’s get down to the food. The BBQ Shrimp. THEBBQSHRIMP. That may have been the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. I almost cancelled the rest of my meal and ordered more bread just to sop up the sauce. Good, freaking, lord… Get this shrimp! The mussels were also tasty, had a variety of tasty toppings on it, and the scallops were winners as well-cooked perfectly! The cheese board was also very impressive, it had a very large variety of cheeses, some of which I had never tasted. who knew chocolate cheese was so good? I would definitely recommend for my cheese lovers! The boyfriend also got the bacon wrapped chicken, it was very good-the chicken was marinated in the bacon and you could taste it in every bite! This place really is a winner, the location, menu, staff and food are all wonderful. If you’re trying to escape the madness of Bourbon, you’ve come to the right place!

This is a nice looking wine bar close to Bourbon Street. We came during the happy hour and the menu was a little bit confusing and instead of ordering a $ 5 wine y ended up ordering a $ 13 one with wasn’t even very good. The relatively nice patio and a friendly waiter ended up saving the evening.
