This review is for Brunch with Santa in the Bourbon Orleans hotel. It’s an annual must do event in NOLA. Early reservations highly recommended as it sells out fast. Parking on Orleans st is very hard. Plan on arriving early just to wait in line to get to the valet. $ 10 to valet and well worth it. There’s opportunity to take photos with Santa in the main lobby so come earlier if you want to have photos taken. The ballroom is all decked out in holiday décor, music playing and costumed folks walking around the tables. Your table will have your name and a number on it. Once seated Ms Claus will come by with a gift for the parents and some drawing paper and toys for the kids. Okay, the buffet. Well, it’s not much considering. The main buffet line consisted of eggs, bacon/sausage, hash brown, waffles and french toast. There is gumbo and a sandwich table on the end. Mind you there is no salad bar, no seafood, no beef, ham or any major protein offered. The po boys was it and not very good either. There was a dessert table with two types of pies(sweet potato and pecan), and some assorted cookies. There is a hot cocoa table with Community coffee to go cups. And that’s about it for the buffet. No omelette station, no lunch items other than cold sandwiches(No carving station). Keep telling yourself you are here for the holiday décor, Santa, singing jingle bells and not for the food. PRICE: $ 52 adults, $ 24 children(5 – 12) inclusive of tax and gratuity | Children under age 5 are free #nola #bourbonorleans #christmasinthedistrict #neworleans #brunch
