I’m rating it a three because of the new owners/workers. Originally, I would’ve given this place 4 – 5 stars. I called in my order and came to pick it up about ten minutes after. The girl present was a bit rude, and she was blasting music from her phone/rapping along– unprofessional! Also, they seemed to have raised the prices of some menu items from the previous owners’.

This was our first stop in LA. We came here because it’s close to our motel. I think they were closing when we got there. We ordered the gumbo soup and some deep fried fish. The servings were huge! Had we known, we would’ve only ordered one entrée. Anyway, I thought the fish was too greasy, but then again, it is deep fried, so it’s supposed to be greasy. The gumbo soup was fairly good, although there was definitely a lot of okra in it and I’m not used to okra in a stew. Overall, I wouldn’t return because I’m not big on deep fried food, but the food did its job in filling me up and there were leftovers for tomorrow’s lunch. For the price, you do get a lot of food and service with a smile.

The best Shrimp Po-Boys in town! My family stops into this establishment every time we visit NOLA. Love the staff and yummy food.

I love the shrimp and beef Yak A Mein here. The fried shrimp is also good for a quick grab

A little rough looking outside, slightly worried when inside… but IMHO absolutely fantastic gumbo. Funny about rice in Baggie? WTH is up w that? Better than most gumbo I have had in and around New Orleans. I was really happy with quality, again don’t be deceived by outside looks. Great food. Think it is more of a to go place but we were just passing through and ate it there.

I have to say, O’Cajun is quite a treat. Deliciously fresh shrimp, po’ boys, gumbo, jambalaya, and egg rolls were all sampled. The brownie for dessert was fantastic. Worth the drive and the price/value can not be beat. The smiling, attentive staff made the meal enjoyable as well.

If you’re looking for a secret dive joint that offers surprisingly amazing food, this is not the place. I ordered the gumbo, and it was just a hair worse than mediocre. The side of rice came in a sandwich baggy, which was kind of cool. Things that I learned while listening to the vietnamese owners talk to clients: they do not take food stamps; they sell pig’s feet but only whole, not cut in half and their hot sauce is not Sriracha, but Crystal served in a Sriracha bottle.
