Got some fried chicken and yakemein. Chicken was good but yakemein tasted very old. I’m into sure if its because I went there an hour before they closed. I have been here before in the past and would definitely not get it again but will return for fried food. Quick service. Lots of Parking.

This place committed a cardinal sin amongst seafood restaurants. They sell Basa fish, but advertise it as «Catfish». Basa fish is gross! Its heavy and firm; so much so that the flesh falls out of the breading. Catfish is light, flaky and delicious. I’d been duped… I even asked the guy if it was Basa after I tasted the difference(trust me, you can tell), and he lied to my face. I won’t eat there again even though their fries were definitely on point!

Who would have thought, in the middle of New Orleans East is a gem for friend chicken. Capt. Sal’s is one of those place you drive by and think«Should I stop in?». I’m glad on my last trip to visit friends in NO, we stopped by. Who can beat $ 2.50 for 3 spicy chicken wings? Not Popeye’s. The service was quick. Pretty much you order it and it comes out right away. Its on par with NO’s favorite Coop’s Place’s fried chicken. Must try!
