NOLA Brewing is my *second* favorite tap room ever. The tap room is not huge, but it has plenty of seating. They have an amazing variety of beer and EVERYTHING I tried was amazing. It’s very refreshing(in more than 1 way) to find such a variety of beers from the same brewery. They have everything you can imagine: Lagers, IPA, Porters, Stouts, Sours. Basically something for everyone. The prices are good, the crowd is great and the only reason why I wasn’t able to give it 5 stars is because ALL the employees were super rude. I went to the bar 3 different times and all of those times I had a different guy being rude for no reason. The employee’s attitude is like they are doing you a favor by pouring you a beer. Also, we wanted to take home some bombers back with us to give to our friends to try and after we pay for them, they bring us cold ones. We asked if there was anyway we can get room temperature ones because we are not drinking them right now, and he said: «NO» and walked away… The service is the only disappointing part about this tap room, otherwise it would have been perfect.

This is pretty fun for a brewery! The multiple beer choices are fabulous and fun to try, while the food is very decent! The atmosphere is very up and there is always a game on the TVs. I highly recommend ordering a test plate first for four different types of beer, it clocks in around $ 10, but is definitely worth it. After you figure out which one you like, you can get a glass for $ 3-$ 5 of your favorite brew. I visit this place twice a month or so, but would definitely bring my parents here. It can be a pretty costly night, but I would highly recommend it.

I was warned that there is no such thing as beer culture in the city of New Orleans. And on first glance, it’s easy to believe. Bar after bar lined with daiquiri machines, bourbon fueled cocktails, and whatever slop people are drinking out of fish bowls tends to dominate the scene. However a walk through the gorgeous Garden District, away from the insanity of Bourbon Street, led us to an oasis called NOLA Brewing. NOLA Brewing is really something to behold. During my late January visit, I counted nearly 25 beers on tap. This is a staggering selection compared to many breweries of similar size that I’ve visited. What I found so special about NOLA is that it doesn’t put all of its energy into creating one type of beer over and over again. Their selection is extremely diverse with standard American ales, IPAs, wheat beers, red ales, stouts, brown ales, and sour brews to name just a handful. And speaking of sour beers, something that I’ve really come to love in recent times, their selection stands alone. Their Dry Hopped Lowerline was just fantastic — tart, sparkling, and bright. A flight of four beers will run you $ 10, so you might as well grab a couple. And because it’s never a good idea to drink on an empty stomach, be sure to order something from McClure’s BBQ, located directly in the taproom. We sampled the nachos and they were a perfect accompaniment to our flights. The taproom at NOLA is enormous and could easily accommodate a large group of people. In addition to the first floor bar area, there is an entire second floor with another bar, and a wonderful patio. As if that isn’t enough, the back of NOLA has a ping pong table, foosball, and a cornhole court for all to enjoy. Simply put, this is super fun place to hang out. There are so many ways and reasons to love NOLA Brewing. Be sure to put this on your to-do list as you eat and drink your way through this wonderful city.

This place is actually pretty sweet. It was more than I expected it to be, considering that I come from craft brew central(Tampa). NOLA Brewing is on the Tchoupitoulas bus line, which is very convenient for those without a car. And of course, there’s always Über. We ordered a flight of four 4 ounce beers for $ 10. Two of those were an IPA and an American Pale Ale, which I’m not fond of. However, the other two beers were delicious. The Lemon Ginger Wheat is light and flavorful. You can definitely taste both the lemon and ginger in this beer, though I couldn’t tell which one I tasted more. My favorite of the evening was the Scary Spiced Stout… Chili peppers. Cinnamon. Cocoa nibs. It was absolutely perfect for a cold evening in NOLA! The venue itself is lively. Most folks gathered in the downstairs room, though there is also an upstairs level and an outside patio. There isn’t much of a city view from the patio but it was still cool. I love the music they had playing the night we went. Jazz. Oldies. Soul. That’s my kind of music! As for the food, McClure’s BBQ has a small venue inside the tap room and they get lots of business. Good food selection. Appetizers and large plates. A buzzer when your food is ready. Lots of sauces for your BBQ. We ordered the brisket with the creole potato salad, and pork and beans. All items were delicious. We tried all the BBQ sauces and I preferred the North and South Carolina sauces. My husband preferred the plain, old hot sauce. I would definitely return! And now to find some of that spiced stout in Florida! :-)

NOLA Brewing’s new tap room is big and beautiful. They have a large copper bartop and plenty of booths and tables to go around. They’re offering a lot more beers than they previously did; at the time I went, there were about 20 different options. They also have McClure’s Barbecue serving up a wide variety of deliciousness if you get the beer munchies. My only complaint is where to order a drink if you’re not sitting at the bar. You have to kind of shimmy yourself between chairs and people to get the bartenders’ attention. I know they have the register on the side, but they didn’t pay attention to me over there until I went to pay my tab.

I had been awake for at least 17 hours by the time I walked into NOLA Tap Room. Somehow, I was still awake, though I was talking in slo-mo and rambling. I assume the guy and girl tending bar thought I was on something — especially because I’m pretty sure I said, «I’ve been awake for like 17 hours now!!» at least 5 times. To them. Moving beyond my delirious state of mind at the time, I loved this taproom! My friend and I hunkered down in their downstairs bar and ordered two flights each. We wanted to try as much of their menu as possible. We both tended to gravitate toward the Lowerline sour series. I loved the grape, so after I tried a taste of my friend’s, I ordered my own. Between us, we ordered four samples of their Piety sour, and I so wish I could have snuck a bottle in my carry on. If any NOLA locals would like to do a trade, I can send you some cool PA or NJ brews! And, by the way, I’m completely serious. Message me. I could list off all the brews I enjoyed, but this isn’t Untappd and I don’t want to bore anyone. I’d just say you should try the Piety if you like sours; the Messipi if you want something a little different; the Centennial IPA for a drinkable IPA; the Scary Spiced Stout for a dark brew with a kick; the Grape St. Wheat if you’re unsure how you feel about beer but want a hint of fruit to your light choice; the Prytania Porter for a seriously solid porter; or the MUSES for a strong Belgian welcome to Mardi Gras. I personally didn’t care for the Drop Tha Beet or the Fruit Punch Lowerline. I couldn’t figure out the fruit punchy flavor and beets should really be reserved for juice if you’re going to liquify them. NOLA has a collection of cute t-shirts so I walked out with one that had Louisiana crafted into a beer boot. Love it! Definitely stop here if you’re into the suds and visiting New Orleans. It’s a bit far from the French Quarter area, but the Über only costs about $ 10. Not bad and you get to enjoy a nice collection of quality brews, to boot!

NOLA Brewing Tap Room is a must-visit for any beer loving tourists. Locals, you better have gone already. If not, what are you waiting for? This review will be from a local’s perspective, but all beer lovers ultimately speak the same language: excellent brews. For starters, this isn’t walking distance from the French Quarter/tourist areas, but don’t worry because it’s an easy enough-cheap enough UberX ride. For my fellow carry-on only tourists, you’ll be really sad that you can’t bring bottles home with you. Piety, I’m talking about you. So my friend and I sat at the bar, deliriously exhausted after a day of travel. We ordered two rounds of samplers a piece. There was some duplication between our orders but we were also able to sample each other’s unique beer picks. We even had some duplication between our own first and second round samplers. It was the Piety and I miss it still. The atmosphere at the downstairs bar was nice, casual. It wasn’t a fancy tasting room but it had a cozy charm to it. The beers were just amazing. My favorite was obviously the Piety, but high marks also go to Grape Lowerline, Lowerline, MUSES, Centennial IPA and Scary Spice Stout. The only beer I didn’t really like was Drop Tha Beet. It tasted too much like a Naked brand juice. Generally, everything was really well done. In case you locals aren’t aware, you can book the upstairs for events. There was an event going on while we were there and everyone looked very happy. I wish the bartenders could have been a little more enthusiastic, but maybe we annoyed them with all of our exhausted chatter. I would have also liked to try the food. I wish I could find NOLA beers in my area. The tasting room is really worth a visit from tourists and locals alike.

We love taking beer loving visitors here. I usually get a flight so I can try multiple beers. This last visit, my favorite was the breakfast brown. My friend loved their sour beers. We haven’t tried their food yet, but it always smells delish. Will prob update this review once we give it a try.

Who says NOLA isn’t a beer town? I used to live in San Diego and it seemed like you couldn’t throw a rock without an other tap room/brew pub so it took a little getting used to having such limited options in NOLA. But NOLA Brewing is awesome and they did a great job putting together the Tap Room. The tap list has their standard options that you see around town(Hopitoulas, Blonde, Rebirth, Irish Channel Stout) plus an ever changing selection of their more experimental offerings. I usually go with a tasting flight(four 2 oz pours for $ 10) so I can get a good feel for what they are up to but if you have a favorite, by all means, grab a pint. There are two seating areas — downstairs is fully enclosed and the McClure’s BBQ window is there serving food(try the smoked chicken nachos or the poutine). You can go upstairs as well where there is a covered patio. Pro-tips: a great spot to watch football with diehard, yet mellow fans. Parking available in back. The 10 Tchoup bus also stops close by and you’re actually just a few blocks away from Magazine so the 11 bus is an option as well.

I’d say I’m a regular here, although I find myself wanting to go a lot less often now with the expanded tap room. I like the space, the folks at the brewery, and I’ll keep going back to support them(not to mention buying cans for at home drinking). But the beer quality seems to have declined. I love the Irish Channel Stout, and Rebirth Pale Ale. But I find myself not liking any of the new offerings, and not feeling the need to go to the brewery to drink the same beers that I often have in my fridge. Maybe they’re experimenting too much and getting away from what works? The place is always packed, whereas the old, smaller tap room always had a table. It wasn’t as welcoming of a space, but at least I could(usually) get the beer I wanted almost immediately. And although the new space has a food option, the bbq from McClure’s has gotten, frankly, bad. Maybe they can’t handle the mass production but our meal last night was just awful. Bland brisket, no bark, no ring, no flavor. Mac and cheese tasted like nothing, just noodles with a thin sauce with no cheese flavor. Fries were old and stale. Growing pains, or maybe this place has grown too big, too fast? Not sure. I’ll probably still keep going, but I won’t be having dinner. Just not worth the calories for objectionable food.

First craft brewery in NOLA! We were excited to find this place considering we are from a mecca of breweries where we live in Ca. We had a great conversation with the girl running the tasting room on a Monday afternoon. She had just moved from Colorado where there are tons of craft brewers, as well. She was traveling the country and stopping in select cities and working for 6 month intervals to experience the city. Loved that she was doing this and she was telling us how New Orleans had just passed legislation for craft brewers to operate. They have partnered with a great BBQ place that operates inside the tasting room but is a separate business. It was FANTASTIC. Partnered with their IPA perfectly. We go to NOLA every year and can’t wait to visit next October with our friends. LOCALSPLEASEKEEPTHISPLACEINBUSINESS

A great bar to go to and relax at on a weekday evening. Only bad thing is that they have no sort of Happy Hour specials. Since they have redone the Tap Room I have started going much more. The option to sit upstairs on the balcony on nice days makes it much more enjoyable than always having to be inside. For people who have never been before I recommend getting a Flight. That way you can try 4 of the different beers. I still get a Flight sometimes if I want to have a variety of beers. For the price it’s probably better than getting a single beer. The addition of McClure’s BBQ makes the Tap Room where you can sit and relax for a couple hours easily. The BBQ is good in itself so it only adds to the pleasure of spending a relaxing evening here, or whenever you go. If you don’t drink beer this probably isn’t the place for you.

Since NOLA expanded into the building next door, opened up the bada** balcony, and brought McClures BBQ to the proverbial plate, things are good. The balcony is a really sweet spot to hang out and have some beers. They don’t have everything on tap upstairs(they stick to seasonals), but you can still get their staples(Blonde, Brown, Hopitoulas) in cans. It’s a bit difficult to watch football up there in the late afternoon because of the glare though, so for game watching… stick to inside. There’s always plenty of chairs and things to do. Downstairs in the brewery area they have some table games and additional seating, which a big projection screen for optimal sports viewing. The beers: Flambeau Red is by far their best beer. I heard a rumor that they were going to offer it all the time, I’m hoping that comes true! Hopitoulas is my second go-to. Comes in a big olé can, as long as the name. Hoppy, crisp beer. Blonde and Brown are their staples, and for me, kinda forgettable. For me, there is nothing particularly special about these beers. Lately, NOLA has been experimenting with a lot of different fruit flavors. Grape, papaya, coconut… A for effort, but not for me. I’d love them to come out with a smokin’ Scottish or another ale. All and all, a fun place to hang out, watch the game, and enjoy some decent beer.

Fun unique beers on tap, they brew something for everyone, great food available as well. Try a flight or two and ask their knowledge staff about flavors and styles of beer. Go on Friday and take the tour, definitely one of my favorite places to go

NOLA Brewery’s new tab room is exactly the adult play land New Orleanians didn’t even know we needed. It combines everything you love from a sports bar, frat house, dive, live music venue and river view restaurant in an authentic way. There’s always something new on tap, good BBQ and people having a good time.

Lots of beers! Delicious food, and I like to highlight that just because you are at a brewery doesnt mean you can’t eat outstanding quality food… it comes with friendly service and if you are into sports… they definitely have the TV situation under control. Bonus point: you can find parking easily.

First of all, the space is huge. There’s lots of seating downstairs and even more upstairs– which is open air with a huge balcony space for hanging out with friends. There’s board games available behind the bars which are there for the asking. In addition to that, there’s a separate Huge open space downstairs –which also is equipped with big screen tv and more games. I’m positive that space can be rented for private events and looks to be able to accommodate a large group. The craft beers are good and the food, which is operated by McClures BBQ is so much better than your average bar fare. In fact if I was looking for late night beer and food, this place would be one of my first picks.

Finally got to check out the new tap room last night. Soooo much bigger and better than it was before! Obviously the big draw is the beer, which is great. They have lots of brews that I hadn’t even heard of before and you can get a flight to sample several at a time. There’s food provided by McClure’s BBQ, which I think is pretty good. I had a chopped brisket sandwich topped with coleslaw and with a side of mac and cheese. For about $ 12 I was filled up and ready for beer drinking. Though I didn’t spend any time there last night, I’d love to go back just to play in the game room — ping pong, cornhole, and other fun stuff to keep you entertained and thirsty. There are enough TVs to be able to enjoy a game(GEAUXTIGERS!) and lots of options for seating both inside and out. My only complaint from last night was that it was absolutely FREEZING in there. I’m rarely cold, so if I think it was cold, it was seriously cold. It was only at the very end of the night that they seemed to realize that we were all shivering and my girlfriend was wearing a hooded parka. But I guess you gotta keep the beer cold, right?

It’s kind of a remote place with nothing much to do around BUT… they brew really great beers! As a beer lover, it was paradise for me! Following the waiter recommendation, I ordered a random beer sampler and had a bash with the beetroot beer, the ginger beer and their dark beer. Don’t get me wrong: they were all nice! I just couldn’t make up my mind for the one I should order in a pint-format ;) Surprisingly, they host a small kitchen that seems really good(especially teh chicken wings) but I didn’t get a chance to try! Will go back!!!

Moseying over to the Tap Room after Hoola-Hooping with Julie, I coppped a squat and had a beer. I know what a waste, but hey I just replaced burned calories #evenswop right. Anywho… Very simple, but properly placed décor for the beer aficianado and the casual drinker alike. There’s a bar area, then a lounging area, so to speak, and finally high bar table and chairs. Artwork adorn the walls and added more of a ‘naturally N’Awlins feel’ to the place. I’m meant to check to see if the pieces were for sale, well next time I’ll check it out. Anyway, the Brew Board, as I call it, lists all the brews on tap and available to your palate pleasure. I chose the Pineapple Habenero IPA& the Hogs Tied, both were pleasent, but the Pineapple made for a little party in my mouth, as a result I found it to be the favored of the two. Pet friendly, way cool huh. Pooches come & go; no harm, no foul. Pricing seems fair, $ 4-$ 6 on average for two different sizes. Friendly bar tender allowed tasting and is swift in his pouring tactics. Relax, relate, release is the order when you enter. Go for it, you won’t be disappointed.
