My latte was one of the best I’ve ever had. The blueberry muffin was warm and filled with giant blueberries. The staff was very kind and courteous, offering me a glass of water and opening the door for me. The prices are extremely reasonable too. $ 6 for both a large cup of latte, with a beautiful design in the foam and a blueberry muffin. Definitely going to come back when I am in this area.

I love Mojo. In fact, I’m sitting in Mojo right now, enjoying an everything bagel and an iced coffee. While their bagels leave a lot to be desired(I usually bring one over from Humble next door, but they’re closed on Tuesdays), their iced coffee is probably my favorite in NOLA– and I drink a lot of iced coffee. I’m usually pretty loyal to Starbucks because of the ease of paying with an app and getting rewards, mobile ordering, etc., but Mojo iced coffee is far, far superior. I haven’t had any of their other beverages(like I said, I drink a lot of iced coffee), but my roommate loves their Matcha, and my boyfriend is a big fan of their medium roast hot coffee. I also appreciate that while this is what I would consider a «hipster» coffee shop, the majority of the baristas are friendly and unpretentious. That being said, service can sometimes be slow and lines can get long, but the final product is always worth it. Overall, I’d say Mojo is a great spot to study– if you don’t mind chatter, espresso machine noise, or consistently good music in the background– or grab a morning cup of coffee. Just BYOB(bring your own bagel), and you’re set.

This place is fine. For a shop that bills itself as a top rate coffee shop in a city known for coffee, it falls flat. The iced coffee is fine but subpar by Nola standards. The atmosphere is cool, but good luck ever getting a table if you’re trying to get some work done. Go to Rook or First Cup instead. Rook is literally just two blocks down Freret.

It was raining one day so my cousin and I decided to stop by and hang out here for a while. They served a good amount of different types of coffee and tea so I am sure you can find something you like. There are many people who come here to study as well as talking about what’s going on with their lives at the moment. If you do plan on staying here for a while, do buy more than just one cup of coffee for courtesy. I had their green teas and matcha green tea latte which were all good. I thought the matcha green tea latte was good(and not too sweet) so I gulped that cup down fairly quickly. Also, the staff here were very nice which left me a pretty good impression. Come check out this place if you’re in the area!

This is a café in the Freret neighborhood of New Orleans, at the corner of Freret and Valence. Food: Primarily mid-to-upper range coffees and teas are available here, as well as pastries and sandwiches made-to-order. The drinks and pastries are tasty. 3 stars Service: Friendly staff, though they can get a little overwhelmed at rush times, particularly in the morning. No set dress code that I noted, and many of the employees are quite esoteric in their garb. Drinks are made to order fresh. 3 stars Facilities: A nicely remodeled old corner building. It is well-lit. There are a number of tables inside and out, as well as some bench-style tables near the restrooms. Restrooms are clean. 3 stars Bonus: Local artwork is available for sale off the wall. Wifi is free with a purchase. Overall: Run-of-the-mill local New Orleans café. I used to live down the street and went there regularly. I suggest frequenting the establishment if you are in the area and would like a drink or small meal. 3 stars

Very good iced chai, latte and their pastries are from gracious bakery, which is awesome! I got the Almond croissant which was so tasty! Gracious Bakery makes the besttttt stuff! It’s great to know this place carries their stuff! I want to go back and try all their lemonades and a cinnamon roll! It’s a little pricey though. I got a small for both drinks and the croissant and my total was $ 13.

Friendly baristas, good espressos, and you can customize the sandwiches. I come here about once a week to do some studying. I like it because there’s a lot of traffic in and out of the café so it’s a great place for me to work. That said, the lighting is a bit strange so you have to grab a good spot. I like the long tables. Wish they had outlets. Other Tips: One bathroom Easy parking password is written on their receipt printer.

My coffee shop order is pretty standard – some size(depending on how much caffeine I need) of a vanilla iced coffee with some milk and I’m good to go. Mojo served me my delightful drink in a cutesy mason jar which I’m assuming is equivalent to about a medium. The total came out to a little over $ 4 which I thought was pricey(and will likely be the only reason I won’t be running back tomorrow). The taste was different from my usual iced coffee from Starbucks and but was just as delicious so no worries here. I did not get a pastry but you can choose from a wide array of baked goods from Gracious Bakery. They also have deli sandwiches which looked great but I wasn’t feeling it at 9am. Best part about this place is the seating! There is plenty of it! This place is perfect for large groups or the solo studier. Service was alright – I didn’t have much interaction with staff given my basic order but no one was exceptionally friendly or mean. There are some signs up that say something along the lines of buying an item for every hour that you are in Mojo so that you aren’t just squatting in this place all day. I understand they don’t want people soakin up their AC and using their fast internet for free but I thought this was a little off putting.

Really enjoyed the Café au Lait with the chicory flavoring. Also had a coffee cocktail which was imaginative and quite tasty. I highly recommend. Plus, plenty of parking on the street.

Love this coffee shop! Great selection of teas and coffee, cold and hot. 24 hour cold brew and espressos. Tried their chai tea today, it was rich and delicious. Lots of seating, nice ambience. Great place to get some work done and/or enjoy a good cup of coffee!

I don’t understand what previous reviewers mean by the staff not being friendly. I’ve been going to Mojo since I moved to New Orleans roughly 6 months ago. I’ve gone in the day time, the weekends, and late nights and I’ve never dealt with a rude person working. I’ve never had a bad cup of coffee there. I saw a comment that said this place is for coffee and tea«snobs» which I don’t understand. Why would you want to pay just as much for a cup of coffee anywhere and get a lesser quality product. The pastries are all very good. I don’t know where they get them from but they are worth trying. I normally get a butter crescent if I’m heading to work in the morning or a piece of coffee cake if I’m there in the evening. They have sandwiches during the daytime but I have yet to try one myself. This location is much roomier than their Magazine St. location. For a neighborhood coffee shop they have a fair amount of tables.

SOOOOOO much better than the Magazine street location! More baked goods, bigger space. This location gets it right.

i stopped by Mojo after breakfast one day for a cup of coffee. I saw that they offered Aeropress, which is my go-to method of coffee preparation at home, so I thought I’d give it a try. I didn’t have high expectations, because the barista clearly had never used it before, and someone else had to give her instructions multiple times. To my pleasant surprise, the coffee was excellent, sort of smokey and different from any other I’ve tried. The atmosphere of the café felt sort of sterile, so I’m not sure I’d come back here when I preferred Rook just down the street, but it’s certainly worth a try.

I love Mojo! It’s a nice, chill, quiet spot with a hip give. The pour over coffee is delicious. Mojo is usually filled with students, so it tends to be quiet and perfect for studying or reading and getting some writing done. The staff is usually nice and very knowledgable about coffee.

Mojo offers some fine espresso based drinks, but you’re at the mercy of the barista — their knowledge and skill sets. A perfectly crafted latte is very difficult. So many things depend on it. My favorite part of a latte is slurping the micro foam created by frothing the milk until I get the first sip of a hot latte leaving a smooth finish. Nothing is worse than spending $ 4 on burnt, acidic espresso and milk. Such a waste! My favorite barista is Ryan. He’s a 5 foot 5 inch brunette with a very interesting taste in pants. His lattes are the smoothest and come with gorgeous, thoughtfully designed micro foam on top. I don’t like the vibe inside Freret Coffee House bc it feels like everyone studying there is also there to check you out. The outdoor seating is more comfortable. The wifi is also very conjested.

I’ve been wanting to try Mojo for quite some time mainly because I need caffeine in my life. Of course, when we came, there was only one person working. Even though there was no one ahead of us in line, the worker was in the process of making someone else’s order that also included food. By the time he finished with it, there was about 10 people behind us. I almost felt bad for the guy working behind the counter considering how dead it was prior to us getting there. Even though we waited a really long time(about 10 – 15 minutes, which is a long time in coffee shop world when you are next in line), the barista was still nice and took the time to make our lattes to perfection, and that’s all that matters.

A friend had coffee here a while back and was not overly impressed– today I saw on my way to hi-hat and I thought — well, I’ll try next time. Fast forward — car flipped me the bird and I was stuck on Napoleon and waiting for the cavalry to come get me. I think I would like to sit in ac and have an iced coffee. Mojo it is! Good: legit coffee shop– comfortable wood tables– local arts on wall. Iced coffee is pretty good– the artichoke brioche pastry looks good — they have ham and Swiss and even sell day old pastry for a little less– which i am not opposed to!!! Only less good is price point– an iced coffee shouldn’t be $ 4. But hey– today– worth every penny!

This is my first time at Mojo Coffee House so my comment is to some extent limited. I had heard many praises for the atmosphere and coffee here so I decided to go do some work here on afternoon. I ordered their Matcha Latte. I am not a huge coffee drinker so seeing that they had alternatives to coffee appealed to me. When I received my latte, it looked amazing with the foam art and I was looking forward to drinking it. Unfortunately, the latte was very plain in flavor and tasted more like milk than anything else. I would not recommend the Matcha Latte to anyone unless they decide to change up their recipe to make it actually taste like matcha. The atmosphere was very pleasant and comfortable. The music choice was interesting. I plan to come back again. Hopefully my next experience will include an enjoyable drink!

Mojo Coffee House. Where the walls are orange and the menu options are vast. So we’ve been looking around for a perfect café to study in so we decided to try out Mojo Coffee House. We got there roughly mid afternoon so it wasn’t too busy, thankfully. I ended up ordering a Strawberry Italian Cream Soda, along with a Very Berry Tea for my partner. The SICS was actually really nice! It was a nice mix of strawberry flavoring with the cream and soda. Unfortunately though, the taste of it went south as I left it there too long. Had to throw about one third of it away because of this. It tastes great but it’s not a drink you can enjoy for a while. The Very Berry Tea was very sweet and as the name suggests, very berry. It tasted nice but I’m not a major fan of tea or overly sweet stuff but if you’re into it, then go for it. They also do food too but I didn’t take much notice of the options. Okay so study space. Mojo Coffee House is relatively small with seating opposite the front desk and some more tables further in the venue. It’s a decent amount with single table, two tables, and big tables(like a conference table). We had a group of four so we had to take a conference table but we felt kinda awkward taking up so much room. Also, there weren’t many power points available to use. They had free wifi though! Don’t forget to ask for the password(I’m assuming it would change frequently). Anyways, my drink was great(but didn’t last the entire study time) but as a study space, we’ll keep looking.
