Patty has been cutting my hair for 20 odd years and I can’t imagine going anywhere else. What is special about her cuts, I think, is that she cuts everyone’s hair differently because everyone’s hair is different. She studies your hair to understand how it grows and what kind of hair it is and then ask you where you want to go with it. This goes for color as well as cut. She stays well informed on new product and is devoted to «green and animal friendly» goods. She is wonderful with very short cuts, which I think is truly an art. I think that’s what makes Patty’s work so unique. She is an artist. I highly recommend to men and women with all varieties of hair. You’ll also hear some fabulous music!

I have patronized more than a few hair salons in the 30+ years I’ve lived in New Orleans. What I have come to appreciate more and more, and the reason I’ve been coming back to Patti Spring for the past 7+ years, is that life is short. From now on, I want every hour I spend to resonate. Patti engages me for those two hours I spend with her getting a cut and color. I walk away with cultural news and observations that I can use. I learn wonderfully weird things! I get connected to artists and musicians flying under the popular radar. And Oh, did I mention the best haircuts, massage and body work I’ve ever gotten? Yeah, I’m hooked.

Serendipity led me to this intimate place tucked away near City Park. It is hard to find a massage therapist who is intuitive and effective and Patti is both. Not only did Patti give a great massage, but she was very accomodating with our tight schedule. Her aromatherapy blends are subtle and soothing. The setting is lovely and, before, or after, your session you can stroll through the park. The only downside is that I don’t live in New Orleans! As if I need another excuse to visit! I would consider flying down just for one of Patti’s massages– seriously, I would!

patti has been cutting my hair for at least 15 years. i have recommended her to many friends and family members who are now steady customers. patti has a sharp artistic eye and excellent coloring and cutting skills. her shop always smells, sounds (has a great cd collection) and looks great. I’ll never forget the post katrina days when her shop was closed for repairs. patti gave haircuts to me, my son and daughter and my elderly mother-​in-​law in our bathroom!

Patti is awesome! She listened to what I said, took the few guidelines I gave her, and went with it, turning my thick wavy hair into a manageable and much cooler mane than it was when I first walked it. Also, super affordable. I got out of there for 60 bux, including a good tip and some product. Another bonus, the art on the walls was good, and she’s an interesting talker (not an annoying or dull one, which is so often encountered in odd situations such as hair care, dental hygiene, or vision tests…)
