Quick heads up– this location is closed. They’re reopening on Magazine St. in a few weeks. That said, this place is delicious! When we went, the place was packed. Service was slow, but we never felt ignored: the wait staff kept checking in with us, and when our food arrived, it was worth the wait! I got a dish that out in a sizzling platter. Do NOT stir it if you get it – the crispy rice on the bottom is the best part zip a great complement to the runny egg yolk on top. We ordered vegetarian/vegan dishes, which were awesome, but the guy next to us got short ribs which looked good too(though the guy eating it literally had sweat dropping off his face from the spiciness– the wait staff looked concerned). You feel like a guest in someone’s home here. Hopefully the new location maintains that warm family atmosphere.

This place has decent Korean food compared to the other Korean restaurant in Nola. The bibimbap is decent. I was surprised by how good the sundubu is — what is that secret flavor? Anchovies? Pixie dust? Not sure what, but it’s amazing. Service is very good as well, another plus over Korea House, which has dismally bad service. Only drawback is the banchan — three tiny dishes? The menu isn’t too large or varied, either. I’ll definitely be back.

This is one of my favorite new orleans restaurants. The menu doesn’t tell you a lot, but everything comes with rice and daily made side dishes to eat with your entrees. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Yell yogiyoh, and they’ll come running. Haha My picks: Apps: Spicy rice cake Sweet & spicy chicken Kimchi pancake Other: Black bean noodle Spicy pork kimchi fried rice Kimchi soup Spicy beef soup Short ribs Spicy pork and squid Bulgogi dolsot bibimbap Ox tail stew

Great little place with great food and awesome service. They are opening up a Korean BBQ restaurant which is smart since this one is a little small and only offer portable grills. The appetizers that come with the dinner are unlimited, just let them know which dish and they will bring more. The spicy pork is SUPER! Large portion with rice! Oxtail stew was very good as well, quite spicy but you don’t get as much meat on this one. Enjoyed our dinner there very much!

This is the best Korean food in NOLA. The building clearly used to be a Taco Bell. The bibimbap was right on target– rice so crispy crunchy. The beef was flavorful as well. My girlfriend ordered a Japanese dish(chicken katsu) and was underwhelmed, so my advice would be to stick to the Korean food here. The kimchi and bean sprouts were really tasty. The service was fast and nice, and it was fun to watch Korean TV while we dined. We will definitely be back, and I can’t wait to try some of the soups.

Very happy that I found a spot with Jajang Myun, my favorite dish that my Korean grandmother used to make me. The kimchi dumplings and the kimchi were really good too. I’ll be back soon to try the bulgogi and jap chae.

We ordered food for take-out. We were a little thrown off by the drive-thru since it wasn’t actually open. Service was a little slow, but our food was good.

I am so obsessed with Korean food. I really am. Compared to other cities, NOLA does not have a great selection for Korean food. We have Korea House(worst service ever), Koreole at St. Roch and Little Korea. Little Korea is in an old Taco Bell. The menu includes your common apps, dishes and hot pot cooking that you expect. You have to order a minimum of two meats to get the cook-at-the-table experience, so at least it’s good for a big crowd. I’ve been a couple of times already but my review is based on my most recent experience with my roommate. We ordered the Spicy Tofu Soup — very good but spicy like the name suggests so be careful! The BulGolGi Kimchi Fried Rice — yum yum. I loved it but the rice was a tad bit too mushy for me. We also ordered the Short Ribs Plate since we didn’t want to get two meats — too much for just two people. Overall, the food was good. It’s not the best Korean, but it will satisfy a craving. Their sides are okay, not as plentiful or variety-given like other traditional Korean restaurants. The service was good, and the ambiance is chill. Korean music playing and kdrama on the tv. OH!!! And they have PINEAPPLESOJU! In a PINEAPPLE!

My first time here was amazing!!! Staff was quick, helpful, and friendly. Everything was absolutely delicious! We ordered all three dish from the grilling part of the menu. It was a lot for two people! It’s a great place for group of friends to share big portion! Definitely worth it!&&highly recommend this establishment for Korean food!

Maybe I am spoiled by the Korean restaurant in California, this is the worst Korean restaurant I’ve ever walked into in the States. In California, you get 10 small dishes for banchan, and there is always something in the spicy tofu soup, either beef, pork, or seafood, or veggie options. The price is around $ 8. Here, there is only tofu and a few slice of onion. I can’t believe my eyes. This is made with the cheapest ingredients, and they charges $ 10.99. I can cook it myself with a box of $ 2 tofu and the pepper past from Asian grocery store. Also, the inside is close to a run-down condition. The tables, chairs, restrooms, all in terrible shape. The women’s restroom door doesn’t close, and makes sharp noise because the bottom of the wooden door has chipped. The sink is filthy. All of this makes think the owner is too stingy to keep the restaurant in a decent shape.

I always enjoy coming here and getting the spicy pork hot stone pot. The assortment of veggies and crispy rice at the bottom are delicious! Not too spicy. I also like to drizzle a ton of this«red pepper sauce» they provide onto the rice and mixing everything together before I eat. The small side dishes they offer before the meal aren’t as great as Korea House in comparison, but the portion for the stone pot fills me up; I usually get a Togo box. Their prices are cheaper than Korea House as well. Overall, Little Korea has some wonderful dishes on their menu and I come here frequently with my friends.

I was told Little Korea has the best Korean food in the area. Little Korea has a very simple vibe with a college student atmosphere. We ate at this cute wooden corner table with a reasonable view of S. Claiborne. For appetizers we started with fried kimchi dumplings which were golden fried to a perfect crisp and little grease. I ordered my first bibimbap here and the experience was pleasing. Bibimbap is apparently a labor intensive dish with a large amount of prep work, so I appreciated the deep diverse flavors of my order. The prices here are much steeper than what you would find in a heavily populated Korean area; that being said, the prices are comparable to other Korean restaurants in New Orleans and I rate this location number one in my book for New Orleans.

Count me as a fan of this place. One of the things that living in DC spoiled me with was awesome Korean food. Places in NOLA to get korean are few and far between, with most scattered out in Jefferson Parish. Little Korea is yet another restaurant which has taken over the old Taco Bell on Claiborne. It’s a slightly sketchy location, but their parking lot is spacious and they’ve really decorated the inside nicely. For lunch, I ordered an appetizer of spring rolls with beef. They were OK, the meat was great, but the rest consisted of lettuce and noddles. The sauce was just OK as well. The entrée, marinated pork and squid, was beautifully presented in a lunch box, with 3 different kinds of kimchi. The pork and squid combination was cooked perfectly in a spicy and delicious sauce. I loved the nice sized pieces of squid. The rice was also cooked perfectly, and I loved putting the sauce over it. I also ordered a Korean rice punch and it was delicious, not like anything I’ve ever had before. It’s not too far away, food is awesome, and it has easy parking. I’ll definitely work this place into the rotation!

BLUF: Not going to pretend to know much about Korean food but I definitely liked this place. Great staff, great food. This is an old taco bell on Claiborne so i just assumed it was fast food. It is a proper sit down restaurant and it was great. Staff is very nice. Not much character inside. Menu has the standard Korean foods and the prices are good. The only other Korean place that I know of is in Metairie but Little Korea is much closer and better in my opinion. They start you off with the kimchi. It was good and intersting. Kinda like getting free bread. We got some kind of pork dumpling like thing for an app and they were great. Then we split a kettle bowl of rice and spicy pork. I dont know the name but it was really good and pretty spicy but not too spicy. Hard for me to write a review since I dont know korean food well but I do know I liked this place. Korean food is not my first choice but I’d def send people here if they were craving something different. Good stuff.
