One thing my friends were most excited about when coming to New Orleans was the fact that you could grab a drink or daiquiri in a bar and just walk out after. So the first place we went after checking in to the hotel was Big Easy so that we could get a daiquiri to nurse on as we walked the 5 or 6 blocks to a local park to meet some friends. We really weren’t in there long enough to judge anything other than the drinks. I got a piña colada daiquiri which was really good. This is a good spot if you just want to drop in to get a drink to walk around the city with.

Needing a place for some quick food and rain shelter on Halloween night, the neon sign was welcoming with relatively little crowd inside. Lots of options for drinks and decent-enough looking pizza. Got one of their mixed drinks which wasn’t too strong at all. Was going to give up on this spot, then saw the 2 for $ 5 injection shot option. These were the strongest things I had all night(Aside from an 85oz beer, but that’s a different story). Solid stop on a crowded street, good value.

This is my go to for appletini daiquiris but I was a little disappointed this time. It was an ok drink that o didn’t finish. Pizza was fine. They are all over NOLA. Maybe I will try a different locay.

Great spot for frozen drinks. Friendly staff. We have gone twice and have not been disappointed. Nice cool spot to come out of the heat let your feet rest and sip on something cool and refreshing.

Nothing like daiquiri made from syrup not fresh ingredients. And who doesn’t love rats crawling across pizza

What can I say other than I wish I would have found this place sooner. If you want to get drunk for not a lot of money than find a Big Easy there all over. They have a amazing cherry seringe Vodka Jello shots that are good and power full. There’s a cap so you can take your time eating them or put them in a pocket. I saved a lot of money after I found these yummy cherry goodness. They also have awesome daiquiris in lots of flavors. Did not try the food so I have no opinion on there food. When I come back I know where I’m drinking.

Came here one evening to escape the rain during Mardi Gras to order a drink. I was pleasantly surprised they had food here since the grenades were going to my head. I ordered a crawfish po-boy. It came with a serving of potato salad which made me a very happy girl. Everything tasted great until I saw the cooks bring in three large bags of breaded frozen seafood. BOO! I really wish it was just fries that I saw but sadly it wasn’t. Common, we’re in Nola! Fresh seafood is what we tourists come here for. TIP — the signs should advertise more then two food options as our group of five nearly turned away not knowing they had po-boys here.

Roast beef poboy, andouille sausage poboy a must. Crawfish poboy had a“fishy” taste… bleh… once done with lunch grab a frozen drink on the way out to continue the Mardi gras festivities!

Close to my hotel. Delicious frozen beverages and staff that is nice. They have another 2 located on Bourbon Street but not near as nice of people. You can also get pizza by the slice but I have not tried it yet.

Walked in — 6 people working and 2 tables occupied and 1 group of guys on the way out. We sat at a table. When we went to get menu from holder, since no one acknowledged that we sat down, we were told«oh we usually seat you» then we had to walk back up after a few min. and we’re told«you have to order at the bar». 3 servers walked past us in meantime without a word. Get off you phones. We can go somewhere else for $ 3 bottled water.

I was new in the area and uncomfortable walking around. The guys in BIGEASYDAIQUIRIS were friendly and welcoming. On my first visit I got a pizza and took it to my hotel room. It was hot with plenty of toppings. On my second and third visits I only got drinks. They are super tasty and stay cold in the styrofoam cups. Lots of flavors to choose from. Perfect on a hot humid New Orleans day.

Went here twice and had a couple yummy daiquiris that came with a souvenir cup. Tried the piña colada and also mixed strawberry with banana. Both were delicious, and helped beat the hot and humid 90+ degree NOLA weather! Also tried the hot wings and these were ok too. It’s a nice place to go and have a quick bite to eat and a drink. Only thing I didn’t like seeing was a guy with his dog inside. But other than that, I would def go again.

Hmmm. It is hard for me to comment on this place. I know that I was in and out of this joint countless times over the course of the week. I don’t know whether to thank or blame this place for the numerous times I woke up and had to put the pieces together of the night before. Their icy drinks are addictive! If it weren’t for the pics on my phone, I may not even remember that I went in here a couple of nights. One of the few things I remember is the bartender asking me if I want a double. Of course I cannot say no to a double! The rest of the evening is blurry. But since my last photos on more than one night were pics of me inside of the Big Easy, I am going to blame them for my blackouts. Great strong big drinks for cheap! They can count on my crew to return upon our next NOLA visit.

Bartenders are super friendly. Drinks are strong and cheap(um. 70oz of beer for $ 14?!) and it was never difficult to get service or even a seat. Haven’t tried the food so I can comment on that but the bloody mary’s were pretty good and the prices are right up my alley.

It’s like every drink you’ve ever had poolside, located on a city street with big, Styrofoam cups to hold them in so you can pick it up and go. Frozen margaritas, Hurricanes, Pina Coladas, Rum punch,. .. .you name it– they’ve probably got it! The bartender(can I call him that? more like an alcohol pusher) served up my frozen margarita in a snap– even suggestive selling me an additional shot of tequila, which I really didn’t need. And then the funny part. If that wasn’t enough alcohol– turns out you get a free shot with every medium or large drink purchased so he was asking what shot I wanted. I had a flash back to Spring Break for sure! Seeing that I already had enough alcohol in front of me to embalm me, I passed. But as I sat and sipped my perfect frozen drink, I was reminded of just how fun this town is and how friendly all the locals are. I’ll be back. There are at least 15 more flavors for me to try!

«Come on rude boy, boy, get a new job…» Grueling hours at a conference hosted at the Sheraton New Orleans just down the street meant my coworkers and I were usually walking zombies by nightfall and usually looking for the nearest place to chow down before passing out. Unfortunately we did the Thriller into this open-air bar/restaurant because A. they had food and B. it wasn’t Popeye’s. There’s something to be said for Popeye’s now… As soon as we sat down and started to place our orders, our waiter started throwing around attitude and opinions on what we were ordering. Really? You honestly felt it necessary to tell me how you think the sauce I ordered on my Po’ Boy was gross? And then act exasperated when my coworkers wanted to sub out ingredients and disappear afterward? The longer Houdini kept it up, the smaller his tip got. It would have been one thing if the food were incredible. Uh, no. The Po-Boy was all stale bread and bland crunchy coating on the shrimp. The red beans and rice were runny and had little flavor. How does a restaurant in New Orleans ruin one of its staples? How? Thankfully Big Easy of Canal was my only absurdly disappointing experience in New Orleans.

Needed some quick drinks because our hotel bar wasn’t open yet. Bloody Mary’s were very good as were their frozen drinks. Great choice on a hot humid NOLA morning.
