Great hair stylists! The atmosphere in the salon is cool. Very pleasant and relaxing.

I moved to New Orleans about a year ago from Los Angeles and one of the people I was saddest about leaving in LA was my hair stylist, whom I had been seeing for about 3 years. You know how it is – it’s can take YEARS to find that person who not only gives you a damn good haircut, but is also so fun and easy to talk to that your time in the chair flies by.
But I finally found that person here in NOLA! I had been previously going to Stardust Salon, where my stylist did a great job with my hair, but was missing that magical other element that makes going in for a haircut actually really enjoyable. I spotted Folklore Salon one day while on Freret St and was totally charmed by the look of the place, so I made an appointment. (Super easy on the Mindbody Connect app, which I already use to schedule workouts.)
Nicole was so much fun to talk to, very down to earth and did a great job with my hair. I love the whole vibe of the salon, which feels very warm and personal, in a beautiful, airy space. I can’t wait for my next visit!

Ladies & Gents this place it the bees knees. Agnes and Nicole are both amazing at there craft. Agnes has been doing my hair for over 8 years and it always looks so great. The space is awesome very cool décor and the product line is awesome. Super easy to book appointments as well.

So excited! Agnes has been my stylist for 4 years! I just love her, so talented. People notice my hair and I get so many compliments. It’s a BONUS that she is closer to home.

So my stylist has left her previous salon and opened up her own space even closer to my house, so of course, I chased Nicole over here.
The new salon is bright and airy. There are only 3 chairs and right now only 2 stylists so not as hustly-​bustly as bigger salons. Everything is clean, new and charming.
As always, Nicole gives great cut and color. And always get compliments on my hair.

Nicole does an incredible job of not only
Listening to what you need or want, but interpreting what that actually means. She’s helped me mold how I get my hair cut so that every time I go, it’s a perfect 10. And the fact they have tangier own space now is incredible.
To put it in perspective, two separate doormen at hotels last week asked me if my name was Clark Kent. Because superman had awesome hair. And I’m guessing Nicole cut it for him.
