The staff were beyond rude. When we arrived, we were told it was going to be a 30 minute wait. The staff just weren’t in any rush. Nasty attitudes all around. The food smelled amazing but we left after seeing the manager flirting with female customers. DON’T WASTEYOURNEWORLEANSEXPERIENCEHERE!

A little pricey, but WOW! The food is amazing. Margo and I enjoyed the shrimp and eggplant appetizer. It was amazingly delicious with just a touch of spicey and a wonderful sauce. I would highly recommend it.

This place has seriously lost its luster. Back in the day, this was a favorite. Based on my last visit, I would not return with a gift card. We stopped in after a day of ripping and running because of its location and to buy a cocktail for the best decorator a girl could find. We should have stopped elsewhere. All were very watered down. We went against our instinct and ordered food. One entrée had avocados which were completely brown. One would think, they should have said they were out or simply left them off the plate.

So, there I was hung over from the Nyx Ball, and my bride wanted a Sunday Brunch. We had thought the Brunch at the Copelands in Metairie was decent so we headed over to the St. Charles location. Well, we walk in, and are standing literally in front of two young women engrossed in conversation. They ask the question I HATE being asked by anyone in a service industry, «May I help you?» Ah, nope, I just walked by and had the funny thought to just come in and stare at you for a few moments and then leave. Of course you can help me, unless this is a «Help Yourself» type of establishment and in that case I’d be happy to seat myself. Se then proceeded to angrily discuss with the gal next to her where we were going to be seated, as though I could truly care about the background politic of this establishment. After minutes of talking and looking at seating charts they decide where we are to be seated, and we follow the young woman to our section. My wife was not happy with the table but would rather have had a comfortable booth, which was not received well either by our seater or the hostess who had come back to see what was taking her so long(Apparently she wanted to resume their kvetching over inner-restaurant conflicts). I had gone to the car to grab my sweater as this place was ice cold inside and they seated my wife at a booth along the back wall. I returned, having actually taken the sweater out of the car, and so chilly I would remain. However not as chilly as my food, which we now come to, the food. Now, I do not expect freshly prepared food quality from a warming tray environment, but this food was AWEFUL. 1. Eggs benedict, eggs, ham, hollandaise over biscuits. All cold, all greasy. 2. Bacon, cold. 3. Sausage, cold 4. Turkey sausage cold, bland, tasteless. 5. Grits, cold, gelatinous. 6. Pasta, cold and greasy. 7. Shrimp, cold(A bonus for shrimp), tasteless, horrible. 8. Ham, cold 9. Prime Rib, cold, pre-cut, greasy, bad. 10. French Toast Stick, gross. Syrup, so watered down it really was not syrup any longer, but faintly maple flavored water. 11. Omelet station, the only hot item I had the entire meal, except for my coffee, which was horrible. Burnt, bad, bad, bad truck stop type coffee. And at $ 2.50, is waaaay too expensive for coffee. There was only one item which was decent and that was the omelet. Although they really should have more cheese selections at this price point than Mozzarella and Cheddar. I will not be eating here again, which I do hope is evident from this review. If it were possible to give them a partial star, I would. ¼ star, for my omelet being hot. Which was the only tasty thing I had that morning. Although, I had a crawfish omelet, so the offered cheeses of mozzarella or cheddar were really not suitable either way. I opted for Mozzarella, as this was at least close to the white cheese you would normally equate with seafood omelets. Do not go here if you want 1. Hot food 2. Good service 3. Friendly staff 4. To feel like you matter to them at ALL. This is my review of Copelands on St Charles. Do with it what you will, but diner beware.

This has been a week of second chances and today I was wowed by my experience. Last time I had such a poor experience that I was ready to drive off. This time Mr. Van Patten and his staff made things right. Cleanliness, service-Hi Bill :) and food now deserve 5 stars. Thank you guys for actually caring enough.

Overpriced mediocre food compared to other options in the area for food. Food is comparative to Cheesecake Factory quality but with Cajun/creole cuisine instead with less options. No reason to go here when compared to other options. Only redeeming factor is the atmosphere.

Sat at the bar with Anthony. He was the best! So attentive and great service. I’m not from here but this bartender had great reccomendations for local attractions. Definitely recommend this place. Specifically, «Tony.»

Perfect brunch! Great for the family, food options are plenty so arrive with appetite. Booth with a view always makes the scenery that much more interesting, live music… couldn’t ask for more.

Both the chicken and mashed potatoes were very dry. The potatoes didnt even come with butter. The portions were small. The server was nice, but the service was very average. I had one glass of water, and she never offered to refill it. I do agree with other reviews about the atmosphere. That’s why this place gets two stars.

Usually this is one of my favorite places to eat at home, but the newly scaled down menu was a bit meh. I think my visits to cheesecake bistro are coming to an end as I wasn’t really impressed with the offerings and our lunch was lukewarm at best, and there were a total of 8 people dining while we were there. The service was good, but I can’t say much else was.

This place is a shame because the food is good and the venue is nice but the place is just ghetto. It attracts not the best crowd which kinda brings it down. I’ve been here twice because it’s close to my hotel. I ordered the California wrap with honey sweet potato fries and the second time I ordered the jambalaya pasta. I had cheesecake with strawberries on top both times it was delicious. I would come back again if I was in the area but I wouldn’t go out of my way.

I went here for lunch on Monday with a coworker. She ordered a burger no bun and onion strings. The waiter was extremely slow… seemed like his first job ever especially waiting tables. He wrote word for word in a book. I ordered the chicken wrap. The wrap was hard and not wrapped completely so it was falling out and had no taste. The place was empty no need to be here for a full hour especially what we ordered. Will not be back!

I am giving Copeland’s three stars not because of the food, but because of the atmosphere. My husband and I went on a Tuesday night, maybe that was the reason the atmosphere was a little«off,» since it was not one of the typical busy nights. We arrived and while the service was quick it was TOO quick. Our meal arrived before we even finished our appetizer. It felt like we were at a fast food restaurant, which was not what we were looking for. Our meal was finished before we even finished one drink. Although the atmosphere left something to be desired, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. The crawfish egg rolls were amazing. My husband got the chicken over crawfish linguine and thought it was great. I got the spicy beer can chicken, and while it was good– I expected more flavor. It was a good meal, but feeling rushed and not loving my food resulted in three stars

The Sunday brunch buffet was scrumpdiliiscous! By far the best meal since we have been in NOLA. They had everything you could have ever wanted! A prime roast & ham carving station. A chef making omelets. Poached, scrambled eggs. Pasta, veggies, salad, gumbo OMG and the desert table… White chocolate bread pudding with fresh vanilla bean ice cream & whip cream… I’m not going to fit on the plane home. Oh I almost forgot the Bloody Mary was to die for! If you’re in the garden district on a Sunday opens @ 10 doesn’t get rockin till about 11:30 or so you have to find your way here. You won’t be disappointed. Kinda pricy but worth every penny. Enjoy

Let me start by saying I’m giving this place 4 stars only because of the exceptional service we received. We’d ridden the streetcar all the way to the Carrollton and and back. On the return it was hot and packed. We hopped off at Cheesecake Bistro, only to find out they’d had some computer system malfunction that forced them to close for the day. They allowed to stay inside to cool off and use the restroom. I explained out situation and asked for water. As we’re waiting the manager came over and said that in spite of the computer problems they would seat and serve us. That was so kind and appreciated. We basically had the whole place to ourselves. Our server was extremely attentive! We ordered the spinach dip with artichokes. I guess we hadn’t paid much attention to the description so we were pleasantly surprised to find the artichoke had been fried. The spicy herb fried chicken was crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside, and enough for 2; it was half a chicken! The Paneed Chicken over Crawfish Linguine was good but not great. Breaded chicken tenders. Crunchy but thin so not very juicy. Pasta wasn’t overlooked though and sauce was tasty. Now the other stuff. It feels like Vegas décor. Way over the top, Cheesecake Factory wannabe. The service was a 4, the food was a 3, and the 90s Vegas décor a 2. But I still had to give them a 4 because they went so far out of their way to accommodate us. They had to hand write the ticket for the kitchen staff and the ticket brought to our table, and for that we say Thank You!

Hit or miss. Meh. If that’s what you want. I’m torn about even writing a review for such an inconsistent experience. But they are, in that respect at least, consistent. Don’t get me wrong, the happy hour pricing is great. The bathrooms are clean, and the valet is free. Other than that, though… You’re taking your chances. A couple nights ago, we went in for happy hour. $ 5 martinis and half off apps. Service was slow. Slow like we’re watching people get ticked off that they’ve not been served. We were there a little more than 2 hours. For 2 martinis and only one of the appetizers we ordered. We asked to get a piece cheesecake for my birthday. Nothing ever came of that. We asked for a manager. Nothing ever came of that either. I just. I don’t. I can’t. Don’t get me wrong, the martinis are awesome(except the purple one, nobody likes the purple one.) And the cheesecake is great. Bananas foster, ftw. The one with the Praline, delicious. Go for happy hour, 5to7? &9toClose. Just don’t say that I said it was going to be great. I said it was hit or miss.

This is our first time in New Orleans and we arrived at our hotel after 9 pm. Our concierge gave us a coupon for a free dessert at the Cheescake Bistro, so we thought, what the heck. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere nice. We ordered the eggplant fries as an appetizer with the seafood sauce. It was just ok. I love eggplant so maybe my expectations are high. New Orleans is definitely a place for seafood lovers. There wasn’t really any vegetarian options. Shame too, because their build your own burger would have been good with a veggie burger option. My husband ordered the crawfish ravioli(note to all, I won’t touch shellfish) and I had the Cobb salad with salmon(sans bacon). My husband loved his ravioli. This was his first time trying crawfish. He thought it a stronger fishy flavor, but he said it balanced nicely with the sauce. My salad was excellent. It was a huge portion and the salmon was cooked just right. For our free dessert we decided to try their white chocolate bread pudding. Heaven!!! This was a large portion so I definitely recommend sharing. Our server Anthony was very nice and the best surprise — they give a 50% military discount!!! I was so surprised! I will definitely stop by here again before we leave.

Went with some of my cronies from the University, and although many of them locals from New Orleans or the surrounding area, I the outsider was not impressed. What is it about the Cheescake Bistro that they swear is the ish nish? The food is fast food in a diner setting. The drinks are weak. The cheesecake taste either soggy or like cardboard. Although the power of the star represents the reputation I place on them, I’m going to further back it up by adding, I am not a fan.

I am excited Cheesecake Bistro is still around. It’s a classic local business;, but I have to digress and say I love Cheesecake Factory! Excited they are coming to NOLA. The food has gotten so so at this restaurant. The crab bake is not the same. PLEASE work on that. At one time it was the . The lunch salad portion was pretty generous. There was no wait for us during lunch. That was a pleasantry. Lunch special gives you an entrée and dessert. Ow! Thanks CB!
