Couldn’t eat 70% of the mandarin duck I ordered, hard & rubbery, sauce tasted a lil bit on the burnt side My wife’s sweet & sour chicken was hard & chewy, she ate perhaps 20% of her meal The brown shrimp fried rice was good & I do like their egg drop soup albeit it’s a tad on the salty side The food used to be pretty good but the last few times it’s been mediocre at best Used to recommend this place but at this point in time I’d tell you to pass on Chun Lee Grade D–

I used to love Chun Lee but over the last year or so the food has fallen flat. The last half dozen times we have ordered take out for the office the food has been overcooked and bland. I think I’ll be sticking with Hong Kong Kitchen from now on when I’m in the Elmwood/Harahan area.

Decent food and drinks, with a very nice décor. If you’re by the movie theater or shopping center and can’t stand to drive further into River Ridge for Chinese then stop in here for decent food and awesome(strong) drinks. The drinks are interesting, strong, and served in really fun glasses. I’ve been here multiple times, desperate to like them, and each time I’ve left feeling«A-OK”/3 stars. The food is good, but not something you’d crave. The prices are decent, but nothing you feel is worth recommending to others. The service is barely worth returning for each time I’ve been, I’ve been left alone for too long, wondering where all the wait staff has disappeared off to while I’ve needed more water or the check. In conclusion, good place for low-expectations, but definitely worth a pre-move/post-shopping quick meal and stiff drink.

Close to my hotel, so I ordered takeout. Sesame chicken was of average quality, but the entrée portion lasted me two meals and a midnight snack. Good value for the money. Spring rolls tasted like frozen ones from the grocery store.

Loved Chun Lee up until today. I work in the Elmwood area and ordered here quite often — fast and great prices. The flavor of their egg drop soup is better than some Ive tasted but they can keep their roach legs and nats. Needless to say I was more than grossed out after getting halfway through my meal … will NOT be returning.

Food was tasting ok, until my grandmother found a very long black hair in her sweet and sour shrimp. The waitress did nothing /offer anything to my grandmother. We stopped eating immediately and I payed the bill. We just wanted out of there! This place was so unclean and unprofessional. I do not suggest eating here.

I can dig chun lee. Their Chinese food is pretty decent, the service is good. This place, to my surprise, has really good fresh sping rolls. So I went ahead and got their phở and it too was pretty delicious. I wouldn’t get the general tso chicken unless you like syrupy sauce.

I usually get soup, but it is great. Spring rolls pretty good, but the peanut sauce is blah !

Just moved to the area, didn’t have anything to cook with. I went here for dinner and it was great. I had the beef and broccoli, fantastic.

This place is convenient to grab some food before or after a movie as it is adjacent to the AMC theatres. They have some very nice soups here and the typical Americanized Chinese food is all good. I did have a really nasty experience here one time when I was chowing down on an egg roll and suddenly noticed that there were lots of little specks in the duck sauce… as I looked back over at the duck sauce I saw lots of ants crawling up and down into it… ahem I had just eaten a large number of ants in the duck sauce on my egg roll! Well at least I didn’t get charged for the extra protein but when I brought up the fact to the waiter he acted like he really could care less.

As always, when trying a new Chinese restaurant, I order the Mongolian Beef. The place itself is decent enough looking on the inside. That’s about all I can say to recommend it. The Shrimp toast was oily and left a puddle of grease in the bottom of the plate. This dish that they brought out was nothing at all like Mongolian Beef. It had all kinds of stuff in it that doesn’t belong in the dish. The worst part is half an inch of oil all over the top. It was so full of oil, the entire bowl of rice couldn’t soak it all in. And it had an odd off taste to it. When I told the waiter, he laughed and said, «Yeah. it’s nothing like Mongolian Beef»…So I didn’t eat it. He didn’t take it off the bill. So I didn’t tip. I can’t suggest anyone eat there.

I like this little place alot. It’s right outside the parking lot for the Palace(Elmwood), so very handy for dining before or after a movie. Nothing special, but not bad or expensive at all.
