Chosen Cakes & Catering

I first tasted a piece of wedding cake from Chosen Cakes and Catering at the New Orleans Wine and Food Event a couple of years ago. It was amazing, and my sister agreed. Finally, after too much time, I ordered a cake for us. I wanted wedding cake, but no one was getting married. It was Thanksgiving, so I had a wedding cake made and decorated for Thanksgiving… I dubbed it the new traditional Thanks-​edding cake (I’m not a pie fan). It was just as good as I remember. This cake is, by far, the BEST wedding cake I have ever had. I chose the praline filling this time but there are other flavors I’ll try in future orders. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I couldn’t ask for more. WONDERFUL!!!

The guys at Chosen Cakes are awesome. Charlie & his crew are the best. They helped me make my son’s suprise 16^th birthday EPIC. They made my son’s cake an exact replica of his favorite Jordans. Not only was it beautiful but it was very tasty. Chosen Cakes will now help me make my daughter’s sweet 16 remarkable. I can’t wait to see what Charlie and his crew will create for her.

We used Chosen Cakes for our September wedding. I wasn’t the typical bride who wanted the big, fancy cake (I actually didn’t even want a cake). But with much pressure from the family, I caved. We went for a cake tasting, and Chosen Cakes was hands down the best cake we tasted out of the 4 bakeries we visited. My cake was simple, 4 layers, comprising of 3 flavors (yellow, chocolate, and red velvet) with butter cream frosting. I didn’t want much in regards to decoration, but I thought my simple cake looked beautiful. They have photos of their other cakes with much more detail and they do a beautiful job, so you won’t be disappointed if you ask for something fancier. I got the idea very late to have a surprise grooms cake made for my husband, and they took the order about a week and a half before the wedding. That cake was just as delicious, and looked great! I would definitely use them again.
