Chez Ru Rene Bakery

I ordered a bug themed birthday cake/​cupcakes for my 4 y/​o son’s birthday party at the Insectarium. I honestly had no idea what to expect from them, but the cake was PERFECT! The designs were amazingly realistic & the cake was delicious! The young ladies that I talked to every time I called were very pleasant and polite. I highly recommend them!

I’ve ordered cakes, pies, and pastries from this quaint bakery. Everything I’ve tasted has been delicious! Lots of compliments from everyone I’ve brought treats to.

This little neighborhood bakery is amazing. I’ve ordered 2 large cakes & a small cake w cupcakes for my son’s bday and have been pleased each time. My daughter’s baptism cake (see pic) was not only exactly like the pic I gave them but it was so fresh & delicious. I’m not usually a fan of buttercream icing but it was delicious & even 5 days later the cake still tasted pretty fresh. And they don’t charge extra for doing different flavors on different tiers of the same cake. I had yellow on the too tier & chocolate on bottom & both were excellent! Will be ordering again in the future.

I had multiple guests at my wedding tell me that it was one of the most delicious cakes they’d ever had. It was just the way I asked, their delivery time was prompt, and I had no issues the entire time that I spoke with them throughout the wedding.

I first heard about them when my friend had her wedding cake from Chez Ru Rene at in November 2011. It tasted so amazing I had to find out the bakery so I could get them for my wedding. They were so easy to work with from the tastings, to design, to cake pulls. They have a bunch of past cake options that they have done that are all beautiful but I had printed a picture from a website and they were able to perfectly match it. Their almond filling with toasted almond slivers is to die for! I also have ordered birthday cakes from them and they were great. Anyone in the market for cake needs to check this place out!

My wedding cake not only was everything I wanted, it was amazing wonderful! It was a huge talking piece at the wedding and after! Well not only was the cake reasonable in price, it TASTED AMAZING! everyone raved it was the best tasting cake! I had dark chocolate with raspberry, and yellow cake with dark chocolate! It was just so moist and fantastic! The grooms cake was KING CAKE! OMG it was amazing! A lot of my family and friends have declared it the best KING CAKE IN NEW ORLEANS! Many of them ordered their cakes from Chez Ru Rene this year. I cant say enough good things about this bakery! They even made tiny king cakes fresh for all our guests checking into hotels for their goody bags. Easy to work with amazing cake! it will all look great and taste great!
