Service here is excruciatingly slow, and the dishes aren’t proportioned well to the price/quality. I ordered some cured salmon on cream cheese and toast, and my friend got a shrimp salad and it took at least half an hour for these no-heat-needed dishes to arrive. There were four average-sized shrimps on her bed of oddly bitter lettuce. My cured salmon on toast was good, but the bread was sliced very thinly and not satiating at all. It was also $ 10, and just not worth it.

Loved this restaurant! First of all you don’t need to go to museum(we didn’t have time but it looked like a good one!) You can sit inside or out at the café and either way you get a water view! Restaurant is very chic and the food was fresh and healthy. Needed to do a non-creole/beignet meal. Spinach salad had craisins, berries, apples and cheese with a yogurt dressing. Shrimp bisque and panini were excellent. Nice gift shop also. Highly recommend going here.

We didn’t get a chance to grab lunch before going to NOMA so we decided to try out the café there. Like many of the new museum cafes, this is one is gorgeous. It has a huge glass window that looks out into a beautiful view of City Park — it’s like staring into a painting. The food is also very fresh and tasty. We had a Cumin Lime Salad with Gulf Shrimp and a Pesto Sun-Dried Tomato flatbread. Both dishes looked like a painting in the museum. The food arrived quick — brought out by a nice stylish server. Would highly recommend this café for a quick bite or snack while at the NOMA.

Wow! Far exceeded my expectations! All kinds of creative, well-executed dishes and drinks. Might well be the best food in New Orleans. I loved the basil lemonade! The café is colorful & clean and the staff was excellent.

Had the spinach and sausage flatbread pizza which was good. The oatmeal raisin pecan cookies were da BOMB. Wish I would have brought some back to go!

I had lunch here one day as part of my New Years resolution to at least go in somewhere once a week where I had never been, and I had never eaten here before although I had been to the museum before. The lunch was fantastic! I had the half sandwich(smoked ham and brie) and soup(butternut squash) option with a glass of wine. I was pleasantly surprised by the menu. I expected it to be very limited with just a cold sandwich or two, considering the small space I assumed the kitchen must occupy. However, I was delighted with my lunch experience and will definitely return. Remember that on Wednesdays, Louisiana residents always get free admission to the museum.

This place is perfect as far as I’m concerned. It’s located inside of NOMA(the coolest spot in the city) in City Park(City Park is majorly awesome) AND it’s a Brennan’s property. You just don’t get more New Orleans than this. It’s so nice to stop in and eat a little snack while watching the things going on in the park through the big picture windows. The BBQ Chicken Sliders were so good and service was, of course, impeccable. The best part, though, was the bell hanging from a satin bow on every chair stamped with«Café NOMA» to take home. Such a nice touch and great reminder of a perfect New Orleans experience.

Pleasant spot for food, service and atmosphere. Light and flavorful salads and sandwiches. Light Italian-style pizzas too. Nestled in a small bay of the New Orleans Art Museum. Bright, contemporary atmosphere. Good wine selection. Sits in New Orleans City Park. With a short walk to an excellent sculpture garden, botanical garden with spacious azalea and camellia gardens and even a Japanese garden. Overall experience is a mini-vacation. Recommend both Café Noma and City Park as a target destination while visiting or living in New Orleans.

No picture to show, because we were starving and ate it quickly. We split the Shrimp bisque, the flatbread pizza and the shrimp salad. The bisque was very flavorful, but not as thick as I would have liked, but I would eat it again in a heartbeat. The salad was delicious and exactly what I was looking for. Iceberg lettuce seems to be common in NOLA, so the mixed greens hit the spot. The pizza was crisp and yum. The chicken was thick sliced deli meat, but it didn’t taste like nasty deli meat, it tasted like chicken! Yay. The staff was so friendly And there were alcoholic drinks available in cold, and hot form. Definitely recommend Café Noma

Got the daily special, a flatbread pizza which was delicious. Also got hot tea, the water for which wasn’t quite hot enough for black tea, their only option. All tools, a nice lunch for less than $ 15.

This is a very relaxed and welcome museum café with good food and no hustle and bustle. It’s in a modern section of the art museum and you can access it without museum admission if you’re in the park. There are great views through large picture windows and outdoor seating too. It serves typical but well executed lunch fare of flatbreads, soups and sandwiches; combos of soup and ½ sandwich run $ 10.50, so it won’t break the bank. The squash soup, chicken salad sandwich, chocolate chip cookie and coffee were all good and recharged me for another hour in the museum.

It’s an in museum café that was reasonably priced with good food. You can access it directly from city park. I would definitely go here again.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked Café NOMA. I went in here seeking just something to curb my hangry(hunger anger), and ended up having the perfect solo lunch with an amazing view of the park. First off, everything is really sleek and clean, as it should be, to sync perfectly with the museum. But it’s still approachable, with plenty of different seating arrangements including a teal couch overlooking the park, taller tables, a bar for solo acts, four tops and an awesome long pink booth that adds a great pop of color. I did the choose any two for 10.50, with a nice cup of roasted corn gazpacho and a turkey bacon panini. I had been craving gazpacho that day, and it hit the spot so much that I almost ordered seconds though one cup was definitely a great portion. Though it was half a sandwich they cut it in two halves, though those halves of halves seemed very nicely proportionate. It was served with pickled red onions and a slice of artichoke adding some great flavors to the already tasty bites. Though I was already in the museum for an event, you can apparently just tell the front desk you’d like to eat at Café NOMA, and they’ll give you a sticker though it doesn’t hurt to also enjoy the museum as well. Such a great date idea but also perfect to enjoy the very mellow dining area. I know I’m raving about the view, but it really is lovely. The restaurant isn’t owned by the museum, but the Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group, so your expectations should automatically go up. I will definitely be back to enjoy more of the gazpacho since I live so close, and try some of the other dishes after a jaunt in the park.

I ate at Café Noma out of convenience more than anything, having unexpectedly ended up walking around the museum on an empty stomach. I ordered the Mufuletta Sliders made with capicola ham, sharp provolone, olive salad and a lightly buttered bun. The ham was a little bit crispy(delicious) and the olive salad was very subtle and not at all overpowering as I’ve come to expect them to be on mufulettas. The sliders were delicious and one of the best incarnations of the mufuletta that I’ve had. I continue to be satisfied with all of the meals I eat at Ralph Brennan restaurants. However, the sliders were way too pricy and the portions were small, but I suppose overpaying at a museum café should come as no surprise and is therefore not much of a valid complaint. In short, the lunch here is very good as long as you realize you’re overpaying going in.

Whaaaaat? I’m so obsessed with this place, namely in the winter time. Here’s why: During the most frigid months in New Orleans, it’s kinda hard to get off my heavily clothed, lazy ass to wander around City Park like I normally do on a daily basis. But thanks to this place, I have motivation enough. This is going to sound so silly to y’all but after a brisk walk under the oaks, I know I can pop in here for a decent spiked coffee. It’s not just spiked either, they have a special, which I’ve ordered more times than I can count. Bananas foster coffee with New Orleans Rum –are you kidding me? This drink is absolutely to die for. Sure I’ve had a sandwich here & a salad there, tasty but not entirely remarkable. But y’all, this coffee deserves a review of its own. I’m still slow clapping the person who invented this cozy concoction… and it’s June.

Clean modern space with full of natural light and with well prepared light dishes were clean and fresh. It was perfect portion for lunch. The day we visited the museum café, the café was packed with silver hair ladies. They were very cute! Vietnamese salad was crispy clean salad(see my photo), Vietnamese dipping sauce(nuoc cham) like sweet tangy dressing was good but even better if you squeeze a fresh lemon over it, try it! My hubby had a grilled cheese sandwich(see my photo) and rich creamy mushroom leek soup. They were delicious too!

A picturesque spot to enjoy a coffee between exhibits. Definitely worth dropping in on a visit to the museum.

This is a small, lovely soup and sandwich café that has an upscale twist. They use Wedgwood flatware and every item I’ve had has quality ingredients. This is a step above the usual sandwich fare(they also have a cheese platter), and the atmosphere is great. To correct a previous reviewer, you don’t have to pay to get to the café. If you go in the front of the museum just tell one of the employees you simply want to eat and they’ll give you a little clip on tag so you can walk on through. There’s also a side entrance(to your right if you’re facing the museum) if you don’t want to go through the front.

A definite treat while visiting the New Orleans Museum of Art. A soup and sandwich sort of place, but taken a notch beyond due to fine quality ingredients and thoughtful options related to the menu items. Two of my lunch companions enjoyed a flatbread pizza that included chicken and spinach. Another had the pork sliders(with an excellent cole slaw, which I sampled). I myself had a large spinach salad. All were prepared just as I might have expected. The small café is inviting due to the fact that the walls are all nearly glass. One gets glimpses of the nearby sculpture garden and out into the lake a slight distance away in City Park. Would I venture here just for lunch while in the neighborhood? Probably not, especially since one has to pay to get into the Museum(except on Wednesdays). The café exists exclusively for the convenience of Museum visitors. That being said, there’s no need to leave the Museum when seeking out a meal and a bit of a rest from strolling through the exhibits. CAFE Noma provides a pleasing array of choices and high level of quality that should encourage museum patrons to linger that much longer.

After you have seen some lovely impressionism, Oceanic, modern, or local art, the Café is such a welcoming place! With large windows overlooking the park, a welcoming staff, and nostalgic jazz music playing, it is a the perfect stop for a quick(or laid back) bite that is delicious. I had the ½ Turkey Bacon Panini, ½ Tomato Basil soup with a Basil Lemonade and Looooved it!!! Perfect size and amount of seasoning left a 100% satisfied customer. I would go back just for some lunch or a Friday dinner after walking around the park. Note: You order at the counter, and they give you a number and bring you your food.
