The burgers are great and simple. Nothing out of this world but definitely fresh. Tastes like a burger u could make at home. The prices are very cheap. U could leave here very very full and spend less than $ 10. The food also comes out very quick. Their downfall is their service. Not a friendly staff. However, they aren’t rude. Definitely recommend it. Try it for yourself. Won’t disappoint.

I love this place but they recently changed their meat patties and they are not as good. My son says they’re not different but I think they are. They taste saltier and more like a school hamburger now. Which is a shame as they were so good. Pleas go back to your old burger patties. The people who work here are awesomely nice and we will still come, but I wish the burger patties were like they were before.

Open 24⁄7 and staff has been friendly each time I went. Inexpensive burgers too. –1 star since the burgers are made from pre-formed patties instead of fresh ground meat

Great burgers all day and all night. Always go with a #6 with either fries or onion rings.

I was excited to try this place but when we came at 11:50 they told us we had to wait till 12:15 to order for the«system to change»?? We offered to pay cash but it didn’t seem to make a difference. Wait for 25 minutes to order for no apparent reason other than an employee trying to get off work? I’m not very impressed.

I witnessed the most racist interaction in my life. These two white men we attacking some black customers that were minding there own business. Myself and my date had to leave. We could not support the treatment of any customers being treated disrespectful. I’m not going back.

There are two things I truly love; one is a good burger, and the other is showing my support for locally owned businesses. Bud’s Broiler fills both of these personal needs, and with the City Park location less than 600 yards from my house, I frequently find myself craving these tasty grilled burgers. Bud’s is more expensive than a fast food offering, but you are definitely rewarded with a good tasting burger. It may not be on par with the likes of Mooyah or Five Guys, but it’s still a solid burger. They also serve a pretty good hot dog and grilled chicken sandwich, and don’t forget about the«fried pies». The location is tiny, but very nostalgic, and and I am a sucker for old nostalgic businesses. There is some outdoor and upstairs seating as well in this tiny spot next to the tracks. I love the fact that they are open 24⁄7 and there are people there at all hours of the night. However, every time I go there, they seem understaffed and there is always a semi-long wait for my food. The staff also seems to be less than enthusiastic to be there. Personally, I think a lot can be said for friendly customer service, and Bud’s should take note of Chick Fil A’s employees who always state, «It’s my pleasure», when they serve you. I agree with Unilocaler Shannon S. that Bud’s should offer free drink refills, as the cost of a refill is cheap, as you have already paid a premium price for the drink itself. I also agree that real fresh brewed iced tea would be nice. Overall, Bud’s Broiler can do a few things to improve it’s image with me. But I am still a big fan of their charbroiled cheeseburgers and will continue to patronize them.

Ok, who doesn’t love Bud’s? This is my favorite location and it’s 24 hours! I love being able to get a cheeseburger at 6 a.m. The burgers are pre-frozen and thrown on a open fire grill when you order. There is nothing fancy happening here but the taste is incredible. You can get chili, smokey red sauce, cheese(it’s real shredded cheddar cheese too), and/or dressing(lettuce, tomato, etc.). The fries are usually soggy, the onion rings are not homemade, but it’s still frigging delicious! I like to get a double patty with sauce, cheese and onions, with onion rings. They also have good desserts… shakes and deep fried fruit pies in cherry, apple, and peach. The peach is the best. If you buy the reusable cup, you can get future drinks for less than $ 1. I also recommend that you ask for no ice, otherwise you get a cup of ice with a little coke. Most of the time the employees are on top of everything, yesterday they were having too much fun gossiping about someone sleeping with someone else, so a line had built up and the service was slow. But I got a burger for like $ 5 so I wasn’t expecting world-class service. Park on the street either on City Park Avenue or turn right for plenty of parking on the side street behind the restaurant. The inside is very very small so if you see an empty table when you go in… TAKEIT! They also have fish and chicken, but I’ve never tried those things here.

I am writing reviews based upon public awareness. People who spend money deserve respect and great care in handling whatever they may purchase in all areas of business. I do not like to Post negatively about businesses, but when a situation occurs that can harm public health, I believe we consumers should speak up. I went in today, and saw one of the employees outside on smoke break, I assumed he was off waiting for a ride or something. I walked in and ordered my burger, everything was fine, the cashier was very friendly, that is the 1 star! I looked in back for cook, and thought she must be the one making burger, boy was I wrong! In comes the smoking bandit from his break, I stood up to see if he was headed for a sink to wash his hands, again so wrong! He went straight to the frozen patties, I looked in horror, he saw my face, and headed to the front. I thought maybe he forgot to wash hands, so he was on his way to the side sink to do so, wrong again!!! He grabbed the buns one in each hand and what seemed like it lasted a whole minute in slow motion while had his whole palm holding inside of bun, I was thinking«is he taunting me?!» I discreetly asked for a refund, the confused and bewildered cashier politely issued refund back onto my card. I called her immediately after I left because I thought she at least needed to know why I cancelled order. Hopefully she will tell management train cook staff on hygiene. I also hope we consumers will stop tolerating poor treatment from businesses! Thanks to Unilocal people have to start stepping there game up!

I seem to remember Bud’s differently than my experience this time. I remember it as an amazing burger with amazing sauce and just general deliciousness. But I was quite underwhelmed. The burger was plain, the chili sauce was flat, and it was all just kinda… meh. I don’t know. Not the Bud’s of old I guess.

How can you not love Bud’s Broiler? It’s the local’s fast food staple that puts McDonald’s and Burger King to shame. Even though I’m not much of a «fast food”/burger person in general, I do have a tendency to splurge on my eating habits during Mardi Gras season and always end up here for my late-night cravings. Gotta love it!

We walked out from MoPho’s across the street to come here-can’t resist the risk of charbroiled burgers and a coke from this legendary establishment! The food– it’s good, but risky. It’s all apart of the experience, wether or not you’ll be wincing in pain later cursing your lunch date for talking you into eating at Bud’s Broiler, when you knew better. The service– expect the worst, and you will enjoy your ordering experience. You’ll be ready to fire back, when they snap at you for asking any extra questions. It’s a special day when you place an order here and the staff is friendly and smiles back. It’s rare, but it does happen. Why do we love this place? Because it hasn’t changed in 30, 40 years. It’s the same level of quality and cheap food our parents experienced when they were kids. All are welcome here, at any time of day or night. You know exactly what to expect, the original Dixie Beer signs and graffiti carved picnic tables make you feel Right at home, right where you always belonged.

No French bread for a po boy. The lady at the counter said, «the boss jus’ don’t care. We asked for French bread for weeks and nothing…» Our Food came out cold. Cold burgers cold fries, And when we asked the lady at the counter to «please turn the loud music down«so she could hear us order after she said«HUH?» 10 time she got pissed off did the«tssss» thing rolled her eyes and said«what ever what do you want» This place looked nostalgic and worth the stop but it was a joke

Every time I have been here(granted, I have only come a handful of times) there has not been much of a line. I think they are in need of a deep cleaning/updating of restaurant. The staff is friendly and the speed of service is fairly quick. I think that the food is good. I had the burger and fries. Hot, good, quick. I do like supporting local!

I stopped at Bud’s for a quick bite to eat before seeing the Celebration in the Oaks at City Park. I loved the chili cheese fries, and the burger was delicious! Bud’s felt like truly an oasis for my family and I, as we were out-of-towners who had expected to find more in the way of restaurants in this part of the city.

A tiny joint located on the tracks, it has survived both flood and fire. Serving up burgers, hot dogs, po-boys, grilled cheese, sides(like fries, onion rings) and homemade fried pies, this place is a college student staple but one that everyone can enjoy. There are six burgers on the menu but you can get it any way — theoretically(although it may not come like you order it). One thing is for sure — it’s a thin, flame-broiled, oversized patty slapped on a basic bun and dressed however you ordered it(or not). Sometimes it is perfect and sometimes it is a train wreck on a bun. We’ve been served cooked but cold patties before and stone cold fries — and then on other days you’d swear they were trying out at a burger competition. Keep your expectations low and go with some friends to this low-brow staple of the local scene. Even when they get it wrong you know you’ll try it again sooner or later!

Oh Bud’s Broiler of old… where have you gone? I hadn’t been to BB in ages, and I had a hankering for a grilled burger. While it was busy, it wasn’t busting at the seams… yet the food was taking FOREVER! Everyone was standing around getting really impatient. Finally after a 25 minute wait for a burger and fries, I got my food. It was absolutely TERRIBLE. The fries were cold. The burger was cold. The patty was MAYBE1/8″ of an inch thick. All for almost $ 6. Unfortunately, my order was«to go», so I couldn’t return it. Even if I could, I probably wouldn’t have, because I was on my lunch hour and didn’t have another 25 minutes to wait on another meal. I don’t know if this level of suckage is common place now, or if there were behind the scenes issues they were dealing with, but regardless, I’ll never return.
