So much foods! 30 $ for unlimited crab legs was great! Overall a solid place to eat. Waitress was nice.

I’m not a buffet person but this sounded like fun so I went with a friend whose family also lives out of state for the Thanksgiving buffet. It was amazing! There was a long line to get in and we had to wait about 15 minutes but the line moved surprisingly quickly and it was well worth the wait. When we arrived at our table someone came and took our drink order in under 2 minutes which is impressive because this place was insanely busy. While the food selection was pretty diverse, I know that I was, like most of the people, most excited about the unlimited crab legs. How could you not be? They also had a nice selection of veggies, beef, chicken, and seafood dishes that I enjoyed sampling. They also had the obligatory thanksgiving turkey with a guy carving it for you, mash potatoes, gravy, stuffing, you know, all the good stuff. The dessert selection was outrageous. They had so many different types of desserts it was almost overwhelming! They had all kinds of ice cream, cookies, mini-cake like things, and a ton of other goodies I can’t even name. They even had intricate little white chocolate turkey shaped shells filled with some kind of creamy mousse, it was very over the top. There was also a ‘dessert case’ where you could pick out whatever you wanted, I tried a mini pecan pie and it was delicious. I would come back but it’s definitely one of those things you only do occasionally because it is really decadent. I really enjoyed all the food, I’m glad I got to indulge with the crab legs and I left feeling like overall it was worth the $ 34 price tag.

The worst Thanksgiving Dinner that I have ever eaten @ $ 65.00 plus $ 10.00 for parking. I want to say Do Not Do Not eat at this Buffet unless you want to throw up

For a buffet this was alright. It’s mainly would food and Cajun food that represents everything about New Orleans. A lot of the food were fake and half assed such as their crawfish étouffée, gumbo, etc. I do prefer their Mac n cheese, red beans and rice, maybe their fried chicken and their dessert. I didn’t bother touching the Asian food because I didn’t care for it. I love their ice cream selection with different sauces! Their pecan caramel sauce and banana foster sauce are great! This I can have all day there. For $ 26 for dinner, it’s not bad but you get what you get in a buffet. Of course the food isn’t going to be up to par with restaurants. That’s given.

Very disappointed with this buffet. We went here with a friend from out of town who is, what casinos call, a whale. So he gets free tickets to the buffet. While there are a lot of things to choose from, everything is… underwhelming. It’s almost like lunch-lady recipes. Just get it out and don’t worry about the taste. I’ve served food at homeless shelters that was so much better than this that the experience crossed my mind every time I’ve eaten here. When fatman(me) needs to search for something, anything really, that looks worth eating and THEN still being disappointed, that is not good food. Been here twice this year and each time it was not worth the free ticket. And for the price, this buffet should give you a handjob while you are eating it.

It’s a buffet so didn’t expect much but we just weren’t in the mood to wander around and find a place to eat. Not much selection and while we watched people absolutely inhaling the crab, it was some sort that required lots of work for not much results. Just a little mean and lots of shell. The one star was the fried chicken. Apparently even a buffet in the south can’t mess that up. Veggies were cooked to death, shrimp was over cooked as well. They had a good selection of desserts but that was about it. Don’t waste your money.

Horrible experience. I was really looking forward to having a crab leg feast! We were seated at 9:15p and the buffet closed at 10p. Everything on the buffet looked as though it had been sitting there since the night before. The crab legs had a good flavor, but we’re over cooked. As soon as we came back to our table with our plates, a waitress told us to move because we were sitting at a table for 8 and there were only 2 of us. We looked at her in shock. The hostess sat us there. Every other table was dirty or occupied. Then about 15 minutes later I flagged down the hostess that took our drink orders and asked if we could get our drinks. About 9:45 the manager(?) came around to let everyone know that food was going to be taken off the buffet in 5 minutes then everyone had to be out of the restaurant by 10:20p. This experience may have been absolutely horrible due to them closing at 10p. But I really think they need to improve on. Us timer service.

I ONLYGAVE A STARTBECAUSE I HADTO!!! The food made me sick smh it was greasy and I don’t think there was a good verify to choose from. Not to mention it was so cold you would’ve thought they were keeping us refrigerated to cook for later Lol. AVOIDATALLCOST&DOBEMINDFULTHATTHEENTRYFEEISTOMUCHFORITSQUALITY.

Came here just to tryout the buffet like I normally do when I visit a casino. It says a lot about the quality service of the casino. While entering the casino it seemed very strange that the casino was pretty calm. I didn’t hear people cheering or celebrating their wins, I guess not many people were winning. THECASINOWASEXTREMELYCOLD, I wanted leave but I was to hungry so I stayed to eat at the buffet. THEBUFFETISABOUT21DOLLARSPERPERSON. THEMAJORITYOFTHEFOODWASFRYEDANDITSEEMLIKEEVERYFOOD I TRIEDWASREALLYSALTY. THEIRSWEETS were ok, the cheesecake was pretty good. INCONCLUSION I WASNOTIMPRESSED with the food or the casino it self. Does not live up to hype! THUMBSDOWN!!!

It’s stupid that they don’t allow anyone under 21 into their BUFFET. It’s like they have slot machines in the buffet or something. Even if you had a room there you still can’t go anywhere and eat in the hotel unless you’re over 21.

I don’t come here often, but when I do, I get my money worth. Nothing bad to really say. The lunch buffet is really nice for the price you pay.

They were serving snow crab legs but said they ran out and started serving Dungeness claws. The food was really mediocre and the mimosas were weak. For $ 33 I expect real melted butter for my seafood not margarine! I usually enjoy Casino buffets but this was a bad experience. My waitress was nice though.

We were referred by a friend to the Friday night seafood buffet. The food was horrible and the king crabs were cold and taste like they were previous frozen. We could get no satisfaction from the crabs to the dessert. My God this was a horrible experience! !!!

OK I’m going to be fair here for a moment as my experience at the Buffet at Harrah’s *may* have appeared to be better than it actually was based on the fact that I had just finished my second Huge Ass Beer from Bourbon Street and the booze munchies were raging. Picture that moment where a stoner, just finishes smoking, and two minutes later is presented with a sack full of Big Macs. The jubilation in said stoners heart would rival that of a 6 year old on Christmas morning upon realizing that his long desired Nintendo 64 lies beneath the wrapping paper — yeah, *that’s* how excited my friends and I were to see the oasis that was Harrah’s Buffet. Now I should qualify my 3 star review and why this level of excitement is matched by anything less than a five. Reason being, the selection was insane, like every kind of food you could possibly dream of, from fried chicken to fried rice, italian to continental, thai to turkey… and don’t even get me started on dessert. So in my drunken state this appeared to feel like stumbling into King Tut’s tomb filled with ancient treasure. In reality the selection may have been vast but based off how my stomach felt about 20 minutes later, I’d wager the quality was akin to opening up a jackpot locker on storage wars… YEEEEPPPP! This is just my opinion however, I was past the point of inebriation so things like right/wrong,(left/right), were all backwards and upside down(you know you’re drunk when you get the prime rib station confused with the black jack table and keep telling the carving station attendant«hit me, hit me again… hit me… ahhh I’m busted») Eatcrest Out

If you haven’t had the Harrahs Buffet lately don’t be discouraged by these bad reviews I am here to tell you that things have improved big time. I had the dinner buffet on Easter evening and it was excellent. Duck, lamb, crabs, shrimp, roast and more so much great food you couldn’t possibly try it all. They also have a great dessert stand with pralines, bread pudding, ice cream, omg what an orgy of food this was. The Easter buffet was a little more than what you would pay on a normal night and thus probably why the selection was so great but don’t be afraid to come enjoy great food on holidays. The only knock I have is that the smell of smoke is so thick it makes you a little uncomfortable if your not used of it.

Don’t bother with the buffet. Had a coupon for $ 20 for use at the buffet. Decided to give it a go, big mistake. Food was lukewarm and just not good. Saw the reviews raving about the shrimp, if you like mealy mushy shrimp this is the place for you. For hot vegetables, you had your choice of overcooked carrots, broccoli, green beans or corn. The few things that were okay were the cream if mushroom soup, salad and dessert bar. Definitely not worth the $ 21.99 they charged. Service was excellent though. Servers were right on top of keeping beverages filled and dirty plates removed. As for the slots, I should have known better. I usually have pretty good luck, but never at Harrahs! They are getting two stars due to the service. Also, if you are planning on using the play ½ of slots for free parking, beware if your vehicle is 6’6″ or over. They supposedly have an area for vehicles over 6’6″. You scrape getting into the garage and the area marked for above height vehicles was full of small cars. There are signs everywhere saying if you park in this area and are not oversized you will be ticketed or towed. Not the case. We were in the casino for about four hours, when we came out, same cars were there!

The only reason this is two stars is because it was free(my cousin is a black jack phenom.) I also am giving them a little play because we didn’t eat until around 9:30pm and it was the Sunday after Essence Fest. I know buffets and hotel buffets especially(my grandparents used to live in vegas) so I don’t really expect much because I realize that you are feeding crazy amounts of people and the food can’t always be fresh. But really even the food that was being cooked individually(like stir fry and something else I can’t recall) looked horrible like the actual products that were being used were not quality as well or just that the cooks were overcooking the food. Not only did everything look like yesterdays hangover leftover, it wasn’t tasty either. Also, stir a pot people. Yes we know food can look ugly when it has just been sitting but all of that can be simply remedied by stirring the pot. Never again!

My husband and I were in town and we wanted to try the food in New Orleans. We stumbled upon Harrahs and found out that they had a buffet inside! We told the host that it was our honeymoon and they were kind enough to comp our brunch! Kudos there(and thank you Harrah’s!). There was a bit of a line but the food is TOTALLY worth the wait. We’ve tried food from the east coast and west coast, and let me tell you, southern food beats them all! The selection of foods they had here was great and super flavorful! Now don’t expect to not gain any weight after eating at this buffet. When it’s too good to be true, it’s probably bad for you. I would have given it 5 stars, except the crab legs they had were VERYVERYSALTY. We asked for hot water so we could dip the crabs to wash away the saltiness and it tasted fine after that. The service was great! The servers were very attentive and were there whenever we needed anything. Some did have a slight attitude, but if you’ve been a server before, you know how a server’s attitude could resonate from a previous customer. I don’t know what the other review was saying about the mimosas. It was definitely bottomless mimosas and quite delightful! As for the catfish, it was sooo tasty and fresh! Same with their fried chicken. The dessert selection was definitely amazing. So if you’re a first timer in NOLA and want to try a variety of foods in one place, try Harrahs. They’ve got the gumbo, crawfish, jumbalaya, and HUGEHUGEHUGE Jumbo Shrimps! You will definitely get your money’s worth and I heard it’s only $ 35 pp(which is not bad compared to vegas buffets).

Quit yo’ bitchin’! There are as many 5, 4, and 3 stars as there are 1 stars. Really? What are you expecting at what is possibly the largest buffet in town and at a massive hotel and entertainment complex that is not Bellagio grade? For a midweek lunch buffet price, there’s not much room to complain … at all. I was sort of tempted to go with 3 stars but, for a few reasons, I’m going to kick them up to 4 stars. Most of the mainstays, such as the salad bar, the casseroles, the main entrees, the regional items, and the meat carving station featured 3 star food, meaning a-ok. It was perfectly edible and tasted fine. What I was taken by was the selection of MINI desserts that a person could sample that I had never seen before in one place, such as cannoli, tiramisu, red velvet cake, mousse, chocolate covered strawberries, key lime pie, and MANY more. The sizes were small enough so you could sample many. They were all good. The server, a lady from the area, was a hoot. A dish she was busing somewhere near my table, but not that close to my table, had fallen and broken, and she apologized to me several times when there was no need to. She also had a good sense of humor. Another really laid back lady was sitting at an adjacent table. With a badge, I thought she was a conventioneer. Instead, it was a badge from her workplace. That said, I think she came here a LOT. The people behind the buffet line and at the cash register upon entry were courteous and, as for the food, they answered any questions one might have. Big kudo: cheaper than a po’ boy, bread pudding, and coffee at Mother’s! Minor demerit: not enough room in my stomach for the muffuletta from Central Grocery I wanted to stuff into my shoulder bag and take on the plane with me after lunching here. For those who told me this would«detract» from what was less than 2 days in NOLA, they were wrong. I’d do the Harrah’s lunch buffet again.
