This was a nice stop on our self guided bar crawl on our visit to New Orleans. This place was very relaxing and quiet. They had really good mojitos and a nice atmosphere. It was pretty slow the day we went, but we had passed it the night before and it looked quite busy. Cool lounge!

Is it appropriate to call a mixology bar divey?! It is now. Drinks were fairly good although they were out of half of the ingredients for most of their weekly specials. The bartender was a little rough around the edges, but ended up being okay. Drawbacks for me are the lack of circulation which leaves you smelling like an ashtray, and the lack of light. Will I be back? Possibly. Will I be a regular? Nahh.

Decent lil dive bar with a better than avervage interior. They must have when you go here are their mojitos! Also certain nights there is a food truck parked out front. Definitely worth checking out.

Great place to go in for a quick drink after work. I’ve been on Friday evenings right after work and it’s usually a light crowd that turns into a full house as the evening goes on. I order the mojitos which are about $ 9 or $ 10 each. The lemon drop cocktails is pretty good as well; It’s made with Titos vodka and Saint Germain liqueur. I had to get used to being in a bar that allowed dogs, but after meeting one of my friends there with her puppy, I’m over it.

3⁄5 solid stop it hits that kinda classy kinda not vibe, which is cool. it’s on the one-way stretch of magazine from the CBD to LGD, and there’s the slider guy outside usually in the evenings. i believe the back area can be rented for private venue as well, but the booths are a nice change to other bars, as you can actually sit with friends and have a comfortable after work libations. they seem to have a fairly extensive selection that are on the boards to the right of the bar, but lately i’ve just been springing for beers.

I really dig this spot. On weekends, yes the serving of drinks can be on the slow side… just because it gets crowded and the bartender has to hustle. But, on weeknights this is a fantastic stop to grab a drink. Not too crowded to sit at the bar. Enjoy a beer or well made mojito, you pick your poison! This establishment is dog friendly, I don’t bring mine because she can’t act right, but I appreciate the puppy love. Dim lights with candlelight make this decent size rather open bar seem intimate.

The Bridge Lounge is a cool little bar, but I was really torn about whether it is a three or four star joint. The pros — dog friendly, good wine selection, convenient location, interesting cocktails. I started with one of their two sparkling offerings. Both were $ 9 and both were Cavas, so I asked, and the bartender recommended the drier of the two. It was still not as dry a sparkling as I generally prefer, but it was certainly passable. I also had one of their mixed berry mojitos. Delicious. Maybe too delicious. OK fine, I had two. The con. This place is loud. I sat at the bar on the left of a friend and couldn’t hear my other friend immediately to his right. Not only that, the other customers were loud. Maybe because they had to be to hear one another, but there seemed to be some general whooping that was just loud for the sake of loudness — or attention getting — or just drunkenness. It’s not clear. The other con is the parking situation. It’s street parking, and if you park on a side street like I did, it’s a potentially un-funky a walk for a small unarmed chick. So don’t forget your dog.

I’ve driven by here countless times at all hours of the night(on my way home or out and about. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it) and I’ve been intrigued by Bridge Lounge because the exterior looks old, dilapidated and mysterious… yet seemed to promise a cozy interior. Perhaps a bit divey, too? Not at all! Enter and become engulfed by a chic, dark, cavernous space and a long bar. I love that they have large circular booths lining the walls– it’s so my thing and if you have a group of 4 or more, it’s just perfect for all-inclusive conversation. There’s enough tables that you’ll probably always get one, no matter how crowded it is. Y’know, it reminds me an awful lot of an upscale, more polished Jean Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop. Better cocktails(I’m enchanted by the St. Germaine’s Infirmary, which is a variation on a similar cocktail at other places in town: gin, St. Germaine, grapefruit) and better music(when I was here, they had either the Portishead or Massive Attack Pandora station). Just as dark. Not quite as old, naturally, but the exterior even resembles Lafitte’s. I didn’t use them, but undoubtedly better bathrooms, too. Don’t get me wrong. I’ve loved Lafittes loooong time. Can’t wait to return.

Went to the Bridge Lounge for trivia night a couple of times and had a good time. Try the mojitos, they’re excellent. I’m only giving 3 starts tho, for two reasons: it’s a smoking place and I don’t like coming home smelling of cold tobacco, and the first time I was there a cockroach ran under our table.

went here for friday night happy hour. while i was disappointed they didn’t have Malibu, they d id have Kruzan coconut rum. And, they were only $ 5 each, before 7 p.m. well,… let’s just say, i’m glad my friend was with me so i could leave my car on magazine street! will definitely return. they don’t serve food, but heard there’s a food truck that comes around. service was ok, but did get annoyed a few times that nobody would return after serving my first drink. it IS dog friendly, so if you’re not a pet-lover, you should avoid this place.

Definitely not what I expected! I have gone by here many times and assumed it would be a friendly place to spend an evening with friends. After a large group of 10 friends all showed up, we were turned away because one person had on a white tee(mind you it was white linen night). They are definitely trying to be «exclusive» as later that night a friend, wearing the same outfit was able to get in after which he identified 5 people with white t-shirts at the bar. Either have a dress code or don’t — do NOT make subjective choices about who is worth letting into your bar and who is not. So, if you are looking for a place that is trying to be exclusive in a wonderfully friendly town, look no further than Bridge Lounge. Otherwise, there are great friendly places to go with amazing drinks close by that would be a better option.

I really like this bar!!! Great cocktails, excellent liquor selection, decent beer options at reasonable prices($ 2 Miller High Life makes me smile!). If it were non-smoking and had cocktail table service it would be a 5-star bar on my scale.

Me and my girls were riding a cab down Magazine St. when we passed a crapton of people wildin out in Mardi Gras costumes swarming the block that Bridge Lounge was on. We immediately asked our cabbie to make a U-ie and bring us back! The experience here was quintessentially NOLA! Tons and tons of people in their get-ups, wigs, elephant costumes, etc; came in droves to Bridge Lounge for a drink inside, or to chill outside. There was a live band playing around the corner as well as a homemade vodka truck + sliders truck outside. Diana S. and I ordered a «Waxed Navel» cocktail($ 9) which consisted of peach vodka, peach schnapps, actual pieces of peach & topped off with some bubbly! Cool and refreshing — perfect for the warm NOLA day!

This bar was not what I expected. I pass this bar nearly every day. I have always thought it would be a cool place to go, but never tried it until recently. My friend and I stopped here late one night while on a quest to try as many bars as humanly possible in one night. The bar had a unique layout inside. The long bar had the obligatory stools, but in the middle of the place were several booths and tables. If it had been couches instead of booths, I would have been thrilled, but it would be a cool place to sit with a group. We opted for the bar. The bar did have a pretty good selection of beer and other drinks. While it was very late, and they were about to close, the bartenders were friendly and prompt with our order. They even served us another drink even though they had effectively given last call. I guess I had the impression that this was more of a laid back neighborhood bar, but it seemed more upscale. Years ago when I would drive by in the afternoons this place seemed to have casually dressed people with their dogs relaxing outside. That is not to say that the new more upscale feel is a bad thing, but it wasn’t what I envisioned. I am sure I will give this place another chance earlier in the evening. Now that I know what to expect, hopefully the rating will improve.

*New Food* AMAZING veggie food + great local bar + dog friendly = i might come back just for the food Ok so i have been a fan of Bridge Lounge for awhile. mostly because its dog friendly and it had trivia(RIP Trivia night i think??). My boyfriend and I went there the other day and they happen to have a guy cooking food. I knew that Tuesday was Taco night but apparently he cooks there more often. You have to get a bartender to track him down and its cash only. We got a veggie quesadilla and an order of Chips and Salsa. I have to say that the way he cooked those veggies blew my mind(and i hadn’t even finished my first drink yet so thats an untainted review :-). We were such huge fans of the food we made sure to let him know how good it was. I highly highly recommend going to try this guys amazing veggie creations. Even the Chips and salsa were worthy of a return trip!

This used to be one of my favorite bars and a total 5 star experience. They used to have some of the most amazingly clean unisex bathrooms of any bar I’ve seen anywhere. They used to have a great crowd of young professionals and it would get packed with lots of pretty people(and by pretty I mean preppy as I’m biased that way). The crowd, that used to be drawn from the young professionals that lived in the Saulet prior to Katrina, has certainly shifted to a much different vibe and I just don’t enjoy it anymore. They still do make some of the best mojito’s anywhere and they do allow dogs but beyond those two redeeming qualities most of what I loved about this bar seems to have been swept away by Katrina.

If I had to pick a favorite local bar… I guess it would be this one! I’ve never had a bad experience at Bridge Lounge. It’s dark and cozy like a bar should be. There are basic beers and a gazillion fancy mojitos but I always go for the bloody mary. There is ample street parking. On nice weather days they leave all of the front windor doors open and there’s also seating outside. But my two favorite things about Bridge Lounge are they allow dogs and they almost always have free vegetarian(and vegan) food on Sundays. It’s good food! I also think the staff are super nice. I’ve been there when Tulane medical used it for a fundraiser for a local clinic and they were really accommodating. AND the last time I was there there was a couple(an old bartender –old meaning previous, not in age– and a girl who frequented the bar often) having their engagement photos taken there! Only things I think they could work on is the visibility of the tv for Saints games– there’s 2 screens but you kinda need to be right up at the bar to see them– and the drink prices are too high for me to afford.

I love/hate this bar. The bad: It takes FOREVER to get drinks all the time no matter what’s going on. Also I feel like this place is always having an identity crisis. The layout implies that they want to be a casual bar where people sit around and talk but the music is always insanely loud so everyone just ends up sitting close and yelling at each other. No big deal but if you’re a little bar with tables why have a DJ? The good: My success rate for picking up girls I’ve met here is really good. Four stars for that.

‘Lounge’ is a misnomer — Bridge Bar would be a more pat description, but hey. We all want to be more than what we really are, huh? Great prices on premium booze Dog-friendly Outdoor seating OK service — they’re more cute than knowledgeable drinks/brands So, what is it? A lovely neighborhood bar that draws a loyal crowd. You should stop by.
