Since the remodel, the«Metro» looks great and sounds better than it had in the past.(Tuned extremely bass-heavy) They’ve taken the unfortunate Tiered-VIP route, complete with the corded-off VIP seating area in the middle of the dance floor. Also, top 100 festival/radio music is all that’s played here. Bring in some musical diversity and this place would shine. This is probably the worst venue to host an event ever. The refuse to give anyone tap water, and only offer bottled water for $ 3. There are never enough bartenders for the crowd, so there are crazy long lines. Bartenders are incredibly rude, I literally begged for a glass of tap water or even a cup of ice and they refused.

Came here for an event with my SO. I didn’t realize they must have renovated the place recently, because it’s way different than I remember. Anyway, it was nice enough. Comfortable couches and chairs around tables were available, as were tall chairs and tables. Getting drinks at the(open) bar didn’t take too long, and the whole place seemed to be pretty clean. In general, the venue did a good job. I just hope the food wasn’t catered by them…

Went here for a show and had VIP tickets. They had oversold the event so stopped letting people into the venue. Do not go to shows here. It took an hour to get into the show. Nope not again.

Came for my cousin’s bachelorette party on our last night in NOLA. We arrive around 11:30 pm and it was dead. There was a few stragglers and 32 other parties. Around 1 am more people started coming in. The music was good. The bathrooms were clean and very nicely decorated with a variety of mirrors. If we ever go back I’d most likely come here again.

I like the ambiance here and they got the best music in town but for instance last Saturday midnight they charge me $ 27 for 1 drink of Hennessy margarita. That’s very unbelievable. Now therefore me and my friends will not gonna go back there again.

Partied at this club for Essence Music Festival 2015 and I will never go back my friends and I did bottle service and purchased two bottles of Moët and the waitress gave us plastic cups to drink out of. It wasn’t until I asked to speak with someone in charge to get champagne glasses. We spent good money at the club and recieved horrible service

Easy access to purchase the tickets online. BUT a horrible experience to enter the club. Start time stated 10pm, but after an hour wait in line we are STILL waiting to get in. Not a good first experience I wouldn’t recommend this club to anyone. Find somewhere else to go PLEASE!

It is a nice atmosphere. I wish the dj blended his music better. Other than that, I enjoyed myself. I would have to give it another shot when I am back in Nola. Also, when we used our coupon they had no idea it was on Unilocal, but they still honoured it(which was good).

This is a typical night club with the typical night club people and music. Nothing out of the ordinary, but still satisfies your clubbing needs.

The music was low-quality, punishingly loud and hard to dance to. There was smoking on all 3 dance floors, which wasn’t a lot of fun. I wouldn’t go back.

This venue is HUGE. Probably one of largest clubs I’ve ever been in. there are several rooms with different DJs and there are two levels. There’s a stage in the main room as well and several side VIP areas. My friends and I had VIP tickets for our party and were not pleased to find that the general admission line was moving much faster than our VIP line; however once inside, things got better. There were plenty of available seats to sit when my feet began to hurt in my shoes which is a major plus for me lol. I’d visit here again.

Paid VIP and had to wait. Letting folks thru bc they know them. Won’t ever do this again. They have my money but won’t let me in. What’s the point of paying in advance if can’t go in first. Party was cool but they have to go back to prepaid… walkin…

They have a few dozen really good events to attend throughout the year. The Black and white party, fashion shows, Halloween, New Year’s Eve bash etc. The venue has 3, YES count them three separate rooms for dancing. They only open the first and middle ones for regular weekend nights and for the big events they open the third room. They also have 5 bars when all three rooms are open including one upstairs. Upstairs is usually sectioned off for VIP during a crowded event. All three of their rooms have separate music. So the first one will be playing r&b/hip hop while the middle one night play more digital/techno sounds. Lasers/fog and your basic VIP couch sections with tables and bottle service. The VIP sections will run you a pretty penny, but as long as you have a few people with you and you’re splitting it, it’s reasonable. Drinks are pretty expensive with minimal alcohol content so it’s better to pre-game before. They usually charge about $ 20 – 25 to enter and then you have to buy drinks. But this is one of the more clean clubs that locals like to go to and meet/hang out with a big group. The best time to arrive is around 11:30p and stay till around 2am. Anything after 2 usually ends in really sloppy drunks, fights, an empty club. It’s by far one of my favorite clubs because it’s so versatile and able to hold large events as well as not being small, cramped and not able to move around.

So on a regular night here, this is not my scene or my crowd, but I have to give it to them: it’s a great space and all the staff were really nice last night. If you’ve never been, it also goes by the name of Generations Hall. I think the Metro is the club while Generations Hall is the space, but the party was thrown by «Metropolitan» on the flyer, so we’ll roll with that. Finkle is Einhorn. Einhorn is Finkle. The crowd tends to be a more presumably posh group and they don’t really get there till 11 in high heels and gel’d hair, and they’re looking at everyone while sipping ‘tinis(I’m exaggerating a little for effect on the ‘tinis). Some of them are cordoned off in little VIP sections that remind me of roping off cattle in little pens. NOTHING wrong with gel or heels… they usually all look really great and clean as opposed to some of the dirty bums in the dives I love. Just not really my scene. But last night, was a pretty great time. We arrived around 7pm for the Crown Royal«Bag The Birds» viewing party there. I got a black and gold Crown Royal tshirt that isn’t an XXXXL or a baby tee made for a Barbie Doll… I think it’s gonna be my new favorite tee. So The Metro consists of multiple rooms and levels. This is probably why their clientele is so fit, all those stairs. The first room has a giant bar in the middle and the dance floor to the right of it, bathrooms on the other side of the bar. There was a buffet of finger sandwiches, mediocre jambalaya, bouncy meatballs as my friend referred to them as, and pretty good wings as well as a cheese tray, with three types: cheddar, pepper jack, and gross(not sure what flavor the gross was, I just did NOT like it and I kept getting it confused with the pepper jack). This buffet was complimentary and I greatly appreciated it, since the drinks they made were delightfully strong. In the middle room, where there is also a raised bar that you can watch down on people from had three corn hole games set up where our Stomper krewe(who were performing that night) and the gelled hair guys could compete to see who could get the corn bags in the hole the most. I played a decent game. In the very, very back though… was the piece de resistance. A jump jump house with four inflated pedestals and in the center… an inflated wrecking ball that you pushed at your opponents to knock them off of their inflated pedestals(the metaphorical comparison of knocking a Stomper off his inflated pedestal is hilarious to me). But watch out… those boys can throw a mean wrecking ball. This inflated jump jump of awesomeness was enough for me to score the party itself as a 5 star. For Metro’s staff to put up with me and my reversion to an 8 year old was remarkable as well. It’s a great, fun space and you can spread out quite a bit. The staff was pretty awesome and they had multiple bars open so it was never hard to get a drink. Oh yeah, and the game… TVs EVERYWHERE and no one can block them ’cause they’re all pretty high up. I would say if an event is being hosted here, don’t fear the usual crowd. They won’t get there till 11.

Well I had no intentions on being inside of a club no time soon but needed to make a visit for a special event. It definitely wasn’t what I was expecting but here is the lowdown. Parking: Around The Metro there is street parking, but if you are there anywhere after 8pm it will be hard. Also in the vicinity is two paid lots. If this isn’t your style for $ 20 you can go valet style, especially if you are the type to walk around in extremely high heels that you can’t walk in. If no valet be prepared to walk two to three blocks maybe unless parking and near lots. Facilities: It’s pretty big location on one side I was able to attend a private party, while the other side club services were going on. This is a good location to have a special event and even a concert in club like settings as well as open up for the opportunity for mingling. Drinks: Pretty decent enough drinks. Bartenders make some okay specialties. No real complaints. I’m not big on clubs but this place is okay. I do feel its great venue space for special events.

I’ve only been here for special events, you know when they class it up and call it, «Generations Hall». The bartenders were friendly, fast, and made good drinks. A-ok in my book. The place itself is alright, it can be a little cramped since its spliced up into different sections. Although, that can be good if you are trying to duck out on someone.

This place isn’t as terrible as some other clubs(*cough* Amps *cough*), but it’s still not really my scene. It is a big space with three different bars downstairs and the staff does seem to do pretty well in handling a big crowd. The music is horrible and way too loud. Yeah, I know, it’s a nightclub. I guess I’m old. Whatever. When my teeth are vibrating in my head, I’m not having fun. They have different theme parties that they go all out for. I haven’t been to one in years, but I remember them being a pretty good time.

I’ve attempted to enjoy myself many times in this venue but it just isn’t my scene. DJ techo/hip hop/rap music just isn’t a form of sound that I find pleasurable. The clientele here just doesn’t seem to be the kind of folks I easily meld with but that might have a great deal to do with the fact that its usually so loud you can’t communicate with anyone verbally. It just seems like a cheesy place to me and I can’t get into the groove this place offers. It seems like the crowd is mostly folks from the suburbs and I don’t know anybody that hangs out here. When I’ve gone here with friends we never make it even an hour before we feel like we’re getting our teeth pulled and we run out as fast as we can.
