Sad to see this place go it was a favorite of mine. I never knew a few busted windows would build up to them closing for good. I real shame.

Bartender was outstanding. Service was good, not the fastest, but good. Get the duck, it is absolutely amazing. Pork chop sounds boring, rest assured it is anything but.

This is a very interesting lounge/restaurant/cigar bar as they seem to be many things at once. They have lots of different theme areas from the main bar area, to a wine cellar, to a cigar lounge. The décor seems reflective of their attempt to be many things at once and is a bit disjointed and confused in many places but the cigar lounge was comfortable. They make nitrogen infused cocktails that belch smoke out and give a mad scientist effect along with decent wine flights. The food seems to frequently change and bounces all over the place as they want to focus on the most seasonal produce so it is hard to describe what direction they are going in at any particular moment. I’ve always had a good time here and I will be curious to see how this place develops and gets focused on what they want to be.

What a fantastic restaurant in the warehouse district of NOLA! I planned a bachelorette party dinner here for 9 girls and we had a delicious meal! Probably some of the best shrimp & grits of my life. Great service as well. They even gave us a private room and worked with the groom to send bottles of champagne as a surprise. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants an upscale dining experience with really authentic southern cooking.

I have never been to a place so disorganized in my entire life! Something crazy was going on new years eve! We left before we were even served!

Wonderful place. We did all small plates/appetizers. Chicken gumbo, mac and cheese made with smoked gouda and truffle oil, sliced duck breast with balsamic drizzle and for dessert a white chocolate bread pudding. Intimate warm settings and a fabulous server named Leslie.

Love this place! Wish there was a place like this in ATL. The décor was awesome, our server was entertaining and I was happy with the glass of moscato that I had ordered. The décor is colorful. The energy of this place is super cool and relaxed and my friends and I enjoyed our visit here before hitting Bourbon street later that night. If I’m ever back in NOLA, I definitely plan on returning to this wine bar and trying their food/dessert. The menu looked great and their dessert options looked delicious!

Loved this place! Happened across it while wandering around NOLA. Found a great cigar and tasting room, a small but beautiful dining room, and an awesome waitress. The food is excellent and the wine list awesome. Well done!

I have been to Bouche on more than one occasion. The décor is very hip and colorful. You can sit in a casual area with love seats and chairs for cocktails and appetizers or at a table in the dining area. The food has always been good, but the shrimp & grits… yummy! This place even has private booths made for two, with televisions inside. It is also a cigar bar, but only in certain areas. You can become a member and have access to a private area or you can hangout and smoke cigars in another area without membership. This place is just COOL! If you are looking for a place that is different with great atmosphere, you will not be disappointed.

We had a reservation but snuck out before ordering. What is this place? Glamourous wine cellar(Aka a corner of a room with wine cubbies) with fetish private rooms? or a sports bar? Unless sport themed, a nice restaurants should never have a tv. And what is with the mismatched diner and medieval looking chair combo? Could not find a single thing on the menu that I wanted to eat. The fish of the day was prawn and they were sold out at 7pm. To who ever owns this restaurant: great idea with solid bones but pick a theme, stick with it, and do it right.

Most underrated restaurant in N.O. Located on the same block as Emeril’s, definitely an interesting and varied atmosphere and design, and the food is very, very good. Often it has been absolutely special. I’ve been going here as frequently as possible since it first opened, and have not had a bad experience once. There are lots of different atmospheres going on in different sections of the restaurant — you can be as secluded as you want, or as much in the mix of things as you want. The specialty drinks are truly special… the Tchoupitoulas Flower is amazing. I never miss an opportunity to order it. The mac-n-cheese with truffles might as well be listed as «crack-n-cheese» on the menu… it’s that addictive(better than Cochon’s, though theirs is good). I have often made it my meal. Great wine selection. Great selection of entrees and appetizers — all very good. They have been through a number of chefs since opening, which at times has affected consistency, but again, the chefs have all been very good so it hasn’t detracted from things overall. They have a great humidor room, cool private dining room, curtained booths, a couple of different bar areas, and an Italian-style cellar room in the middle of it all, which is my favorite. I have gone here with clients and friends, and in the time they have been open, I prefer hanging out and eating here to Emeril’s. It’s not a superior service-type of restaurant, as in «fine dining»; it’s more down to earth. Some may not like that, but I’m fine with it. They are always accommodating, however. And with A Mano a few doors down(which is also delish), the 800 block of Tchoup is the go-to block for good, fun dining these days.

This review is based on my first experience at Bouche – but I went to dinner with a repeat offender who is absolutely smitten by the place. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing – they’ve done a tremendous job on the interior, with brick highlights, open wine storage, and glass classes with things that make you wish you had a hammer and a get-away car — like Louis XIII cognac. I’m kidding. Maybe. One of my dining companions arrived early and texted that she was waiting in the cigar bar – an attached but isolated section of the restaurant. First thought: uh oh. Experience: totally different. Amazing ventilation in that room! I didn’t want to leave. Service: Absolutely top drawer. So much so that we invited the chef to dinner at our house a few days hence! Table service is crisp and helpful. The bar is amazing and the bartender is extremely friendly. Top shelf margaritas with agave syrup are highly recommended. We had pretty good coverage of the small menu, which changes frequently, so I think I can speak to overall quality, not just my dish. I had duck breast with creamed spinach, baby carrots, and cornbread. Absolutely(I used that word again) stellar preparation. The duck breast was a perfect medium rare, the carrots were crisp and delicious, creamed spinach was gobble-it-down delicious, and the chef knows cornbread(as do I). I had just wowed a crowd with my cornbread at a recent dinner party, but I was utterly owned by this chef – her cornbread is a light, sweet, perfectly crusted chunk of heaven. Other dishes that night: superb mushroom risotto. Rabbit and andouille gumbo served with creamy grits(an unusual preparation, compared to rice, which is probably the most common, or the Cajun variation of a dollop of potato salad): Excellent! Dark roux, chunks of rabbit and sausage and easily the match of Mr. B’s and Gott Gourmet, which I consider to have the best gumbo in the city(although possibly the best gumbo in the world is Prejean’s pheasant and quail gumbo, served at Jazz Fest). I’ll be back and I’m looking forward to more of the same.

An exclusive, trendy atmosphere — - Very upscale and eschelon for a bar spot! Their truffled mac and cheese is almost better than mine. The strawberry and pomegranate mojitos are a bit pricey at 14 bucks but well worth the charge!

OMG, I have never had such amazing service! Had a bad experience at Cochon so came here. They have great specialty drinks(try the bouch-ini with liquid nitrogen!). All the food was amazing. Had the goat cheese salad, mussels, pasta, salmon, and every dessert. We got to meet the chef, the sous chef, the owner, and several waiters. everything was cooked to perfection. The salmon was my personal favorite. When u go, have Leslie the sommelier set u up with drinks, Ray wait on u and meet Robert Bruce, the chef. He truly is amazing! Tell John what an amazing group of people he has! Bravo.

I had a birthday party for my wife and 14 friends. They were set up in there cellar room and cannot say enough good things about Bouche. Their server was wonderful and the food was all delicious. I am so glad I book this place for her birthday as they all had a great experience. We will return

Yea, it’s been a while since I have written a review regarding service or food, probably because I dont feel like I need to but ever since Salu left a bad taste in my mouth I had to review them so I figured review Bouche as well. I love this place. I could sit my bum here with my friends and get crunk instead of going to Metro, Republic or Masquerade. On top of that eat great food prepared by chef. Next time Im sitting up close to the window so I can watch chef at work. Place is great, private alcoves with curtains for privacy, private dining rooms, a cigar bar, a bar area as well. It’s no wonder most people have already booked this place for small gatherings and parties. Great service by our waiter Ken. I love that when he wasnt sure about something, he asked someone and reported back to us right away instead of leaving us hanging in anticipation for an answer. I love their flatbreads, they change occasionally, which is great, so ask your server what the flatbread specials are. The herb-goat cheese arugula salad was off the chain with the light vinaigrette. I tasted hints of citrus in the dressing. It was great. Something different for my tastebuds for a change. We had a cheese plate, which I was not too crazy about but my friend was loving the sweet pickled onions which went great with our flatbread. The Gnocchi was excellent. Warm, cheesy, with some ham/bacon — sop up the greazzziness with some of that flatbread. Last we had the Duck breast Magret. OMG it was great! Had some of the fatty duck skin fried, cracklin style like i love it! The sweet potatoes with the vanilla extract was omg goodness. It was so sweet, you didnt need dessert after eating that dish. We were stuffed. I usually dont drink whites but I had a glass of Moscato for $ 9. That ish was good. Sweet but not overpower — great aroma! Cash and credit is great. There is a full bar, wine selection. Off street parking, there are a few parking lots where you may pay to park, walking distant from Emeril’s. Great for groups, dress code can be casual, but not overly dressy. Cigar bar is a separate room. Great for a hot and sexy date, make sure to close the curtains.

I recently visited Bouche for a drink after dining at A Mano. I hesitate to give a bad review because I did not dine here and the bartender was so nice. I ordered the Tchoupitoulas Flower, a drink with gin, strawberries, and St-Germain. My drink was a bit too sweet– either too much simple syrup or St-Germain(I did not know that was possible). This bar serves drinks with liquid nitrogen, so it was entertaining to watch the bartender prepare a «smoking» martini. The bartender was extremely attentive; he poured tastes of chocolate port(I’ll stick to ruby or tawny) and Canadian Whisky. The décor of this restaurant/bar was bizarre. My friend likened it to «a place in Ohio that wanted to look like a place in New York.» She later revised it to «New York in the early 90’s.» I was personally convinced that after leaving The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Dina Manzo served as the interior designer for Bouche. The women’s restroom had curtains for stall«doors» and«flying saucer sinks»(as my friend described them). There were several booths(complete with privacy curtains). Each booth had its own television. There was a private dining room, in the back of the restaurant near the restrooms. There was also a dining room in a wine cellar inspired room. Each of the televisions(the ones in the booths as well as the television in the bar area) were set to ESPN, which was airing BMX biking. I was surprised to see the televisions on at all– it did not seem to fit with the ambiance they were trying to create. I read Bouche’s menu and it seemed to have some unusual offerings as well as standard Louisiana fare. The first item on the list is fried goat cheese served with advocado [sic]. How unfortunate. I might stop by again if I am in the neighborhood. Maybe. But you definitely need to see it for yourself.

I attended a wine tasting event here last week and was so impressed with this new Warehouse District restaurant. They were giving out taster sizes of all the dishes on the menu and every bite was delightful! I can not wait to go back for dinner. I would also consider using this place as a group dinner or lunch. The private dining room is cozy and elegant and the cigar room next to it is a really nice touch. Overall, this is a great addition to the New Orleans dining scene. Check it out.

What a gem and new alternative to gumbo and jambalaya in NOLA. We had the private room in the back for 11 girls celebrating a bachelorette party. The service(owner, host, and waitress) was attentive and friendly. Fantastic drink menu! The Tchoupitoulas Flower drink was one of the best cocktails I’ve had. It was fresh and lightly sweet for a warm evening. I went with the cajun duck breast. It was tasty, but I think all of the dishes I sampled were a bit cold. It seems like the food had been sitting out for a while. They might need to work out the kinks in the kitchen with preparation and service.
