You visit a tourist area, and you’ll find a few scams … This one’s definitely one to avoid.
Visited here recently, and went to buy an item that was listed at one price. Then was charged another at checkout. When handed the receipt to sign, we caught the error, and asked that it be fixed. The clerk then tried to play the «no refunds, no exchanges» game, even before we’d left the store or signed the receipt.
There’s plenty of shops selling cruddy tourist kitsch around here, so take it from a Unilocal Elite – avoid this one and go to another that won’t try to scam you by listing one price and charging another.

Most of their business has to come from tourists and conventioneers staying at the plethora of nearby hotels (I know that’s why I was a customer), but this small corner convenience store is much nicer than it needs to be! The owner /​employee was a very friendly Indian dude who was all smiles and really made our night. His pride in his business shows because he was very welcoming and the place was spotlessly clean.
Decent everyday wine and beer choices for reasonable prices (considering the location) and your standard issue chips, nuts, candy and snacks. Minus a star for a big problem: NO COKE ZERO! But at least the drink coolers were set to a low temperature. My bottled water was ice cold! There’s a small selection of New Orleans souvenirs if you’re lazy and forgot to buy the kids a gator head or a postcard. They also sell a few Mardi Gras goods in case you don’t want to flash the perverts on Bourbon Street for some $ 2 beads.

15 of us were staying at the JW Marriott across the street for a bachelor party in May, and this was our morning rally point.
Their bloody Mary’s are made on the spot with plenty of horse radish, and even a dill pickle as a garnish, they were banging. Perfect for a little pick me up in the morning.
After feeling a Little better, HUGE beers for $ 5, and AWESOME food (which was really unexpected) was exactly what we all needed. I was shocked at how good their muffaletta was, it was the best I have ever had.
Its a divey bar, with great bloody Mary’s and great food, what more could you ask for when on a 3 day bender!
