Found bMac’s on our way off Bourbon street. Nice little local gem. Great back courtyard but we sat in the front bar they’ve only been open a little over a year I guess it was a pretty seedy place before they really cleaned it up. Talking with the locals they all say the service industry crowd stop there after they get off work understand why. Prices of drinks great quality of drinks even better. Lots of locals there will give you good advice of where else to go. Give it a try glad we did we will be back

I ducked in here a few times while on a brief vacation to New Orleans in January, 2015 — shortly after they took over the place. It’ll be one of the first places I go when I’m back in town, a week from now. Very friendly people, and they’ve a really good jukebox. The courtyard is lovely, and so are the drink prices. If Bourbon starts to wear on you, this is a nice little retreat. Highly recommended.

There was a group of us from Chicago, in search of the best Hurrican we were looking for Will the Bartender(we met him in January 2014).we walked 45 minutes looking for him to find out he was no longer at the bar… we ended up finding out that he went to B Mac’s! We walked in and there he was… We sat in the Courtyard and we enjoyed the music the crowd and the drinks… the bar was so close to Bourbon street… St. Louis & Bourbon . The owner the«B» in B Mac’s was so nice and hospitable she opened this bar after the passing of her husband… he had to be a kind spirit because he was so nice. We came every day to start our night… we are so happy we found Will and B Mac’s…order the Hurricane’s from this place… they won’t disappoint!

Back courtyard is nice to relax if few around. Half block off Bourbon makes ideal in a unique way. You can hear the hub of party central without the hassle of it. Cocktail bar primarily with just a short beet list. Wine too is short

This place is no hidden gem, its been here since the 60s… you guys missed out when it was a REAL hidden gem. Since the recent renovations it’s very clean and beautiful, but the clientele here is just so lifeless and boring compared to the old crowd. RIP Le Roundup, welcome B Macs:/

Hidden gem just of a few doors up from Bourbon Street. The bar looks like nothing special but the courtyard is. It’s big, cosy and a world away from the street outside. The drinks are really cheap too. A southern comfort and Margherita for $ 9 is a bargain to me.

Amazing, chill gem of a French Quarter bar. If you’re looking for an oasis right off the chaos and bluster of Bourbon St this is it. Huge backyard terrace creates great laid back get-together atmosphere. We discovered this place on a Friday night and came back on both Sat and Sun.

Amazing atmosphere and ridiculously beautiful courtyard add to this neighborhood bar. Classic jukebox and cheap prices make it the perfect spot to relax. Great for Bachelor and Bachelor enter parties.

The little sister of Chart Room decided to follow in her brother’s footsteps with a curated jukebox(think Booker, Matassa’s recordings, blues galore, and current local heavyweights). She emulated his service-industry prices, knowing local fidelity outweighs flash-in-the-pan opportunism. But Girl got style where big bro wasn’t able to dare: a paint job bringing warmth and artsiness, a counter(horse-shoe bartop) with an homage to copper ceilings, and seriously the best resurrection of a courtyard in probably the teeniest amount of time possible for that feat. Fountain and Seating for parties? You best believe it. The whole staff put in their own sweat equity to make this a fine place for us jackballs to partake of the namesake Miss Brenda’s hours d’ oeuvres. She is a sweet and savvy hostess.
The same beloved crew that works Chart Room puts in a couple shifts here along with a few interlopers. My only contention regarding the latter: please do not complain aloud about tips. This is tacky and sophomoric. Some Europeans are unaware of our customs. And everything averages out in the end. Or at least it should.
