This place is the absolute worst. The service sucks! The people that work there don’t care about the customers on line waiting to order, all that matters to them is talking to each other. The customer does not matter at all! I will never go back here for anything. Not to mention they have been shut down by the health inspector at least 3 times.

Zeytinz is your go-to lunch spot in midtown that offers everything from pre-made sandwiches to sushi to buffet/salad bar. I’ve only gotten the sushi from here so can’t say much about the other varieties of food, but I enjoyed the Salmon Avocado with brown rice. It’s fresh, and the price of $ 7.50 is reasonable.

A big deli, nothing too special, maybe the variety of food. I ordered the steak teriyaki and it was bad, I had to throw it out because it was all sauce and no steak. waste of $ 13!

Not sure why Unilocal has this place listed as CLOSED? It’s very much OPEN. I just tried it for the first time. Ordered a Deli Wrap(California with grilled chicken, avocado, lettuce, tomato, on a whole wheat wrap. Good size and quality, and reasonably priced for the area.

UPDATE: They’re open again! Apparently there was a problem with their gas line. I love the udon soup at Zeytinz. All very fresh and healthy ingredients and very filling, too. They’ve been closed quite a bit recently because of «mechanical problems.» I hope they open again soon!

A favorite lunch deli. Generally, everything is good: sandwiches, salads, salad bar, sushi and soups. Right across from Bryant Park when weather is nice; and seating area upstairs when cold.

Amazing lunch spot across from Bryant Park. The lamb platters are fantastic with rice and veggie sides. Quick, convenient and a good price for the amount of food you get.

Best lunch spot in midtown. Great for thew warmer days because you can get your meal and then head over to the park to relax and take in some of that New York air before going back to your day. Would highly recommend this place to anyone in midtown on a summer day looking for a filling lunch.

Great lunch spot that I wish was open for dinner. There are so many options to choose from mediterranean, to chinese, sushi, italian and thai and it’s usually around the price of $ 12 and you leave FULL. The food always has a lot of flavor as well. There is a nice upstairs eating area that I feel not many know of but definitely check out that area if you have time to eat there! This is my go to spot as I work near Bryant park, check it out!

This is awesome place to have swharmas/pitas. They have many counters serving turkish and delis. My favorite is the lamb swharma. It was filled with lamb and was just awesome. I had asked for the spicy sauce and it geled very will with the meat. HIGHLYRECOMMENDTHISPLACE ! The portions are very good for the price. They also have a huge seating place on the second floor.

There is something enduring about the breakfast crowd that gathers at Zeytinz each day, or at least that’s the way it seemed to me when I stopped in while strolling by Bryant Park the other morning. I had the Mediterranean Omelette, after receiving a strange look when I tried ordering an adana kebab. Oops haha. The upstairs seating area is nice and spacious. They also have various wares for sale, souk-style. How unusual for a city cafeteria!

Great spot for a morning egg sandwich. Also not enough is made of the NYC egg sandwich on a kaiser roll. It’s not really common in other places and the fluffy bread with egg, cheese, and bacon is really one of life’s great delights.

One word = AMAZING! I work right next door so this place is my go to(for everything, all day). Breakfast and lunch. Amazing quality and great customer service. I usually get a large coffee, half and half with 2 sugars. Followed by either a toasted bagel or a sausage egg and cheese on a roll. It’s actually my favorite. Nicely done and surprisingly not expensive for Manhattan. All for a little over 5 dollars including coffee. That’s a steal. Although the line might seem long(which says a lot) it moves pretty fast and I’m always satisfied!!! Their lunch grill is so die for. Mediterranean realness. Grilled chicken over rice and vegetables make an excellent full rounded lunch meal to satisfy the hungriest craving. When in town without a doubt you must come inside!

Solid cafeteria style lunch spot around Bryant Park. Salads and turkish food mostly. Room upstairs to sit and eat as well. Worth a try!

I eat here at least once a week. The food here is always fresh and they offer a huge selection to satisfy anyone. My favorite is the middle eastern station in the front. They open around noon so if you come there before you will have to wait as they take some time to setup. The lamb and chicken adana is excellent and you can get it either on a wrap or platter. I find the platter to be huge as I never get to finish it so I normally stick to the wrap, which essentially the same thing without the rice. The kebab’s as well as the gyro is also very good there. Ask for extra white sauce too! There is a huge seating area on the 2nd floor, but I prefer to take my food and eat in the park across the street.

FOODPOISONING Was going here quite often for the okay food, it was filling and sufficient for a quick lunch. A new guy recently came in to work at the teriyaki chicken grill area and I have noticed he was cooking the chicken fairly close, however after eating it last time everything seemed and looked cooked. I trusted them and continue coming in. Today i purchased the chicken teriyaki and dint notice the cooking time, upon digging in i noticed that i ate raw chicken which wasn’t all cooked! Feeling terrible now, do not buy it from them!!! Going to contact local authorities to file a complaint. If i feel any worse then they will hear from my lawyer.

Lunch at the park made easy. Zeytinz is very similar to a lot of the usual lunch spots around Midtown. I don’t have too much to go off of, but my last meal there was very satisfactory. I had gone in with the intention to order a chicken balsamic sandwich, but by the time I got there, they had stopped serving lunch and all I could get were hot bar food and a few select items. Their special of the day, their chimichanga, heaped high on the counter, caught my eye and I figured I’d give it a try. They ran out of guac too, so it wasn’t the full-fledged entrée. However, the deep fried tortilla shell evenly melted the contents and surprisingly enough, the meat wasn’t too dry. It was a little heavy for a midday meal, but the preparation and quality made me want to try other items on the menu in the future.

Part deli, part mediterranean, part grocery, and part home décor store? Interesting mix of food, grocery, various home goods/pottery/wicker baskets — not sure if the latter is for sale. The food seems to be your standard deli/sandwich/salad bar. There’s also a section for gyros and chicken/rice combos. Also a nice bibimbap(mixed veggies and rice) bar in the back. You get to choose brown/white rice and fill it with toppings like marinated carrots, bean sprouts, radish, and lettuce. They’re missing some of the traditional toppings like fernbrake and eggs but have a good selection otherwise. Huge portions for only $ 7.99 and tastes pretty good for deli bibimbap. The seating upstairs is huge — plenty of tables and chairs for the lunch rush. The view is also amazing — ceiling to floor windows with a great side view of bryant park. Part of the upstairs seems to be used as perhaps a storage for décor items — there’s a set up of wicker baskets/pottery and various metal and ceramic bowls/plates that line the entrance way at the top of the stairs. Strange but I guess it adds character.
