How can a place call itself Mexican but not have jalapeño peppers? Portions are very skimpy, even on cheap ingredients like rice and beans. They messed up my order, giving me chicken instead of carnitas. There is no hot sauce, only Tabasco, which is gross. Mexican hot sauces exist, and they are actually good.

I had the vegetarian brown rice bowl. It was filling but the rice was very dry.(Probably because they keep the food hot all day long — I ate there at 5pm.) All together I wish they would add more vegetables. And the food didn’t looked that fresh. But it’s cheap and prepared fast.

Don’t go here during the day. The food isn’t changed as nearly enough as it should. When I got up to order, the beans looked crusty, the veggies were burned, the lettuce looked a little old, and the meat looked tough and discolored. I was hungry so I got it. It tasted like high school cafeteria food. I’ve gone here in the evening before and the food was much better. They were also much nicer. Both times I’ve been here I’ve been called ma’am. I know I’m a puny boy, but c’mon. I know Bieber got shit for looking like a girl too. Oh well. Maybe I’ll get to be a heart breaker too when I get older.

This chipotle experience was horrible, the workers were rude and«forgot to tell me» about an extra charge. My burrito was cold, my friends quesadilla wasn’t even melted, the tables were a mess and they also ran out of water cups. Glad there are other chipotle options because I will not be returning.

Get it straight. Chains don’t have same quality everywhere. Chipotle in San Francisco was awesome. Nice views. Chipotle on 40th street, was a pain to walk up stairs with elderly aunt. We then stood in line, stood in line, and stood in line. Workers talking about, their exploits; girls unkempt, dudes unshaven. Service snobbery. System of ordering was arcane. Food dry, lemon juice would not have helped. Rebel Review says: 2 stars.

There have been always a great experience with chipotle, this time it was just eehhhh… portions were smaller than usual and the place was a little bit dirty with low number of customers inside…

Staff was incredibly rude at this particular location. I ordered 3 tacos and asked to have some rice put in them to which the woman at the meat stand turns and says to her coworker, «Um have you ever had rice in your taco or even heard of that?» Her coworker shamefully and quietly responded AFTER looking at me and said«uh…no?» FYI, I don’t even think adding rice to your tacos is that strange! People get burritos with rice. Same thing in my book. I work down the block from this Chipotle and needless to say, my coworkers and I won’t be returning. I have never been so put off.

Horrible service. Gave me two inches of rice and 5 pieces of chicken. These burritos are expensive, at least give me my money’s worth. When I asked for extra the girl rolled her eyes and breathed hard like it hurt to extend her arm again. Not that they need my business but I Won’t be returning to this location ever.

The staff here is super fast, it almost makes me feel nervous for spending one too many minutes in one place! The food doesn’t quite seem to be as hot as food tends to be at other Chipotle’s. People may comment on the weird seating, but honestly it’s probably designed that way so that you don’t have people breathing down your neck as you eat your burrito and rather the people waiting are separated from the people eating. Get in, get out. But for lunch, try to get there before 11:40 because the line exponentially grows the minute it turns 11:41. It’s crazy.

Went here during the lunch rush and the line was pretty long when we got there but the service was fast so we didnt wait that long. Wish the place was a little bit bigger because the line formation was a little bit confusing. Also it seemed like there werent that many seats there for people to dine in. If you go here expect to not get a seat right away.

Why review a chipotle? Hmm why the hell not? Its a grey area on which chipotle to choose therea another one across from this one. The lay out is wierd less seating. But why settle to eat inside if you could eat outside? The park has tables and seating. The difference is the service. Employees are friendly. And if you ask for a little bit more rice and meat. They dont look at you with a terrible stare. They just said okay. Which is awesome! The searing area is always clean. And its not as crowded as the one across from this store.

Chipotle is chipotle. Steak is ever so tender, food is ever so good. It was my only meal of the day so why wasn’t I satisfied? First, I forgot a fork because. Silly me, no one reminded me that forks were downstairs. Second, I have never stopped using the bathroom since. Yikes. Chipotle, why do you do this to me?! Will be back and HOPEFULLY have a better encounter with the food(even if it was so delicious). Servers were friendly and that was definitely a plus in my book!

Worst Chipotle ever. I ordered the tacos and chicken today, can’t find the chicken. I think if they gave me 10 pieces of chicken that would be a lot. I think I need to cross this one off my list.

Both the customer service and overall atmosphere at this location were disappointingly sub-par. I’m used to walking into Chipotle with a line almost out the door but still being served within 5 minutes. This location had absolutely no one in line, and it took 1 – 2 minutes for anyone behind the counter or in the kitchen to even acknowledge my presence. There were workers goofing around in the kitchen and behind the register, but no one seemed concerned with notifying a server. The food looked like it hadn’t been touched for a while — the bean containers had dried edges. The server didn’t ask me the usual questions, just stared and waited for me to tell her what I wanted. She walked away to the salsa section before I was done and I had to get her to come back to add in peppers and onions. The burrito itself wasn’t bad but it wasn’t everything I had been looking forward to. It was luke-warm. Also, the bathroom was gross. With all those employees, and a sadly empty dining room, you’d think someone would try to keep it presentable. There was a roll of toilet paper strewn across the floor like someone had«TP-ed» the place. The useable toilet paper roll was not in the dispenser, but resting on the back of the toilet. As this is the beginning of the holiday season, and this restaurant location is in the heart of Bryant Park, AND I visited on a Saturday at dinnertime, I’d expect a much better experience than what I had. If this were my first Chipotle visit, and I didn’t know the goodness and happiness that other locations create, I would never return. I highly recommend that the manager of this location sees this message and ships the place into shape.

Burrito was cold except for the wrap I saw them heat up for me. People who come to America to experience this Mexican grill would be disappointed. I waited in line for five minutes with one person in front of me. A normal chipotle I would expect 20 people in front of me and wait five minutes. This is not the kind of establishment I dream about where chips and Guac are majestic and pinto beans reign supreme. Overall… not cool man.

This is the worst Chipotle. The chicken had a burnt taste and the place was dirty. Compared to theone on 5th, this is a joke. Will not use this one again.

Not my favorite Chipotle. I agree with the other review saying that the layout is weird. I I think it would be a bit awkward when it gets crowded. The people are friendly, but it’s not run very well. When I arrived in the middle of the afternoon, there was no line… which I loved. But when I went up to order, there was only 1 person at the food station. But she completely ignored me. I guess it wasn’t her job to take my order, but she didn’t even acknowledge my existence or ask me to wait a minute. She just stood there and then after a minute, she just walked away. Eventually someone came over and helped me. He was very nice, but clearly there was still some confusion as to how things run. Once he started my burrito, he tried to pass the order off to be finished by another girl(who had come to help him behind the counter). That’s normally how Chipotle works, but this girl seemed like she didn’t know what was going on, so he finished my order on his own. Though he did forget part of my order. The person who was tending the register was also missing… she eventually showed up, but I had to put my burrito in a serving tray myself which seemed odd. Typically the ordering process is so fast and organized it amazes me, but this place still doesn’t have it figured out yet. Also, after I finished my food, i went to clean up after myself, but someone just went to empty the trash. She knew I was waiting to throw away my food, but she still proceeded to finish what she was doing instead of letting me put my trash in the bag she was emptying. The problem with this is, there isn’t another trash can in the entire place. There’s only 1! And after she emptied it, she just walked away and didn’t put a new bag in. I imagine she would have eventually, but when a place only has 1 trash can, I’d recommend replacing the bag before you walk away. After standing there waiting for a few minutes for her to return, she never did, so I just had to leave my trash nearby so she could take it later. I felt bad leaving my trash, but if you don’t provide a trash can with a bag in it… I don’t have much choice. I couldn’t wait there all day. Fortunately… the burrito was delicious! Though I will probably go to the crowded one on the other side of Bryant Park next time.

Excited that there is another one near BP, which would help decongest the one on 5th. However, the set up for this location is strange compare to other Chipotle locations I’ve been to. Since it’s new, the staff here are very polite and friendly, but the line doesn’t move as fast as the other one. Glad to see more lunch options around this area though.
