My husband and I have been ordering delivery from here a couple times a week for about a year(maybe longer?!). I’m not a reviewer– but I feel like I have to let people know about this place. We love it. It’s fast, inexpensive, and has the healthiest delivery options we can find. I consistently order the Y café salad(it’s gigantic) and he gets the chicken tenders. We’ve also gone in for brunch a couple of times and loved the baked tomato Benedict.

Very quiet, quaint atmosphere. Friendly staff. I had chicken tenders which were baked and delicious and my bud had Humus. He enjoyed his humus and I liked my fingers.

Went here on a Saturday around noon as I read their brunch menu when walking by. They have a decent selection of omelettes, I had the cheese and broccoli with oita bread and fried potatoes. For the time I was there and the location it was quiet, which I enjoyed; the food was very good! Only drip coffee — but good coffee! Def going back when in the East Village!

A charming quiet little neighborhood restaurant with full bar, serving incredible quality food. Brunch items are super cheap and healthy, cleanly presented by friendly staff. I can imagine it would be a great date place or calm meal in the evenings too. A new favourite!

This place is an east village staple in a new location. I love the friendly family run atmosphere and the food is healthy and delicious. With of course a few cheats to satisfy your not so healthy side. If you live in the EV you MUST try this place!!!

I always have a good time here, food and people are all so nice! This is the right choice in the village when I need a really cozy environment. I know I will be in a better mood after I eat their food. Thanks Gloria for your nice service!

Quick service and very quiet. The food is no-fuss, inexpensive, simple and good. A fine little neighborhood joint, sort of Chinese, sort of upscale diner, nothing wrong and nothing special.

Very rare to find food that is quality, cheap, good, and healthy in Manhattan. Y Café delievers on everything. One of my favorite spots in East Village. Very friendly and attentive service. Cobb salad is my favorite. Calamari is good. Wasn’t impressed with the Pad Thai. Dodge that and you won’t be disappointed.

Pad Thai had no flavor at all. Fried noodles with dry shrimp and a few tiny bits of tofu. Hot sauce and a small wedge of dry lemon could not save it. Will not be going back.

Great staff. I went for brunch and pleasantly surprise that all brunch specials are under 10 bucks. The quality of food is good and place is kept clean too. Do note that they are cash only.

Very good sesame chicken, with a choice of rice or roasted potatoes. You also get a nice salad with every dish. The portions are so large that I always have something to take home for lunch the next day. Quiet and friendly, with very low prices for this area.

Fresh, tasty and well presented for the price! The Café needs deep cleaning and better maintenance.

Well priced with decent food. We went on a slow weekend for brunch and the place was not overcrowded. It’s quite small so I am sure it can get too noisy quickly. The waitress was nice and the ingredients were fresh.

It is very rare to find a wonderful and cozy establishment in NYC that has just prestigious customer service. Y Café is one of these rare establishments. Not only is the food absolutely amazing but the prices are fantastic. A lot of small businesses like these will serve small portions of food with high prices BUT not Y Café. For the price, you get a very considerable size meal that will fill you up for a long period of time. The workers here are very friendly and make you feel right at home. I did not once had to ask for more«Water» or anything of that nature while I was eating food. She would go walk around often to see if anyone needed a refill OR ask them how is their meal. By default you can tell they really care about the customers feelings and any issues they may have. This establishment can get busy on certain occasions but majority of the time, it is fairly quiet which is surprising because everyone here is just so friendly. I definitely recommend this place to anyone. It is by nature made for those who prefer to eat alone OR to bring a date. It is not really meant to serve larger crowds.

Great for brunches. They have a whole menu full of good food. I’ve came here a couple of times for their brunches and it’s been a great experiences all times. Their salmon and spinach omelette taste great as they have salmon on almost every option on the breakfast menu. I highly recommend it !!

The BEST service in NYC! And the cheapest healthy food in the city. If you’re looking for a place where your waitress will know your name, then look no further! Perfect spot for lunch, brunch, or dinner if you’re an Alphabet City native. And it’s worth the trip if not. $ 5 Mimosas for boozy brunch folks. A mix of health conscious American and Asian cuisine. I recommend the eggs and chicken, the chicken salad with their tasty carrot dressing, and/or veggie dumplings. For a delicious meal surrounded by lovely people, go to Y Café.

Really good, healthy, inexpensive food. Such a very nice place to discover. I had the cold gazpacho soup and the General Tso’s Chicken. Both were hearty and filling. The gazpacho was very zesty, full of fresh vegetables and absolutely satisfying. The General Tso’s Chicken was served with a lovely brown rice, steamed broccoli and carrots.

A few friends and I were in the area looking for a place to eat so we decided to stop here for brunch. Cute little brunch spot with good ambience and stellar service. I had the Eggs Burke with home fries and tea. The food itself wasn’t bad and inexpensive. Definitely recommended and would come back in the future!

Tried it today and I wasn’t disappointed. It’s a hole in the wall café, with few tables and a good selection of food items at very reasonable price not to mention that the food presentation was great too. The only thumbs down was that, it doesn’t have a free wifi access. Nevertheless, I will comeback to this place again.

Asian infused with American and non-American dishes in East Village/Alphabet City. Food options are culturally diverse and hodgepodge mix. With a party of two for a Tuesday lunch was okay. Y Café is a average café that did not wow me with their menu nor food options as one of my Meetups gathered for lunch here. However, having to missed that event, I did not know why Y Café induced me for a visit now as I was not thoroughly impressed. They offer loose tea leafs unlike the average tea bags. Cajun chicken General Tso’s chicken Crepes Pad Thai Humus Platter Lo Mein Caesar salad Fettuccini Alfredo Maryland Crabcakes Chicken Sesame Tortellini Primavera For Him: General Tso’s chicken with two Serrano chili peppers $ 7.25 was hell spawn hot but the chicken was good, minus the Serrano chili peppers. My poor friend was choking up a storm with tears and breaking sweats. I specifically requested milk from the waiter as the best remedy for extreme spicy foods(source: Discovery Channel). For Her: Stir Fry vegetables and shrimp with brown rice $ 7.25 as it contained too much vegetables and minimal rice. The rice is not the traditional Asian long grain. It was okay as I took a great dislike that I was unable to finish it. Wait staff is somewhat attentive after numerous attempts to flag our waiter for milk and bill. Why for Y Café?
