Cute, small, quaint place, but way too pricey. I had the avocado toast and soup of the day(tomato soup) for breakfast. Decent portions, but practically cost me almost $ 20 not worth it. The quality of food is good though, but not worth the price for small foods.

I was walking through the neighborhood when a strong hunger pang hit just as I was passing by ‘wichcraft. I listened to the Serious Eats podcast the night before where Tom Colicchio was talking about their reboot of the restaurant, so it seemed like fate wanted me to give it a try. I really appreciate that they list the calories next to each item on the menu. The staff was friendly and the roast turkey sandwich I had was very satisfying and came out quickly. If I could change one thing about the experience, it would be to put a little bit more effort into the fit and finish of the décor. In my opinion, the signage and ambience didn’t do anything to communicate the quality of the ingredients, and if I didn’t know the story behind ‘wichcraft, I’m not sure I would have been tempted to give it a try.

I really like ‘wichcraft. The location on 8th closed, so I really hope this one doesn’t, too. I always get the same thing – the roasted turkey. I don’t usually like turkey or avocado, but I love the caramelized onion relish and aioli, and I think it’s a good combination. This location is pretty spacious. Lots of room by the counter to form a line or waiting on your food. There are a few seats by the window or you can go upstairs to the dining room, which is also quite spacious. There aren’t many people when I come on weekdays around 2PM so ordering is quick and easy, and they prepare it for me pretty quickly.

Great service, great food! We got the tomato soup, steak sandwich, and the squash salad– all delicious and reasonably priced! Will be back again.

I ordered catering for a corporate event from ‘wichcraft more than 24 hours in advance this past week. I emphasized the urgency of the delivery and that it was for a client event starting at 12. I asked for the delivery to be at 11:20, yet they showed up at 12:45, once the event had 15 minutes left. I continuously followed up with them emphasizing the importance of being prompt and trying to see what time it would arrive, and from 11:30 on they told me that it would be «just another 5 minutes». For a catering company, the absolute lack of timeliness, along with the lack of follow up customer support provided for an overall awful customer experience. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional.

I always forget that this place doesn’t measure up. I am excited to go, after all it is tom Chollico, it should be great. And the sandwiches sound so good… But the rolls are always stale! And sandwiches are dry, not really yummy like I would expect from a top chef. I gave two stars for the really nice quick staff, But I won’t forget anymore, not going back…

Great chicken sandwich and oatmeal cookie but the MISERABLE and poor service. I walk in and there are no joke 7 staff behind the counter and I am the only person in the store and not one of them says anything to me until a minute later I ask who I should speak to if I want some service. I mean WTF?

I’m so upset because my friend took me here and I was not happy. The staff was nice, one cashier had a bad attitude. They gave me and my friend both sandwiches that were missing ingredients. We didn’t find out until we were far from the place. So we call the number and apparently it’s a guest service office number the one that answered was very rude her name was Rachel, she said there was not much she can do but give us a coupon. Why would we want to return. I asked to speak to a manager and she was apparently the manager how lovely. Thanks for nothing Rachel!

Swung in here for a different breakfast sandwich; I got the one with frisee and blue cheese. Not a fan at all. I took a few bites and threw it out. It also took a very long time for the sandwich and that plus a small iced latte was $ 13 and change. I won’t go back, but two stars for friendly staff and decent coffee!

This review is for delivery orders only so I can’t really speak to the service in store. I’m a big fan of the cold sandwiches with my favorite being the beet and goat cheese on multigrain bread. It comes with amazing pistachio sauce and grilled radicchio. Perfect amount of crunch to a balance off the sweet, tanginess of the other ingredients. It is pricey for a sandwich but I find it pretty filling. Also a big fan of the tuna and turkey with caramelized onions.

Friendly service and the best tomato soup in the whole world. I pretend I am inviting friends out for a chat but really i just invite people here so I can show them how wonderful it is. The cookies are epic too, try them all! I would like to comment on other items but since trying these two I have not ever tried anything else on the menu. The upstairs is a good place to work too. Big long tables and smaller ones for a more private working space.

Overpriced compare to the size and the ingredients of the sandwich. So disappointed! The ambience is okay for quick lunch bite but I will not come back for this pricy sandwich.

I love the pressed sandwiches here. Haven’t tried anything else since I always stick with the Heritage smoked ham sandwich or the Cuban style pork and ham sandwich. Additional seating upstairs. They give you a number and bring your food to you if you dine-in. Other then that, the tomato soup is subpar and service is really slow. Especially if you’re stopping in for a short lunch break, the wait can be frustrating. Sometimes they’re too busy talking to each other behind the counter– no sense of urgency.

Terrible! 1. Service — slow, disgruntled, rude (Sunday, early afternoon, place is empty!) 2. Food — — tomato soup sour beyond comprehension. Impossible to distinguish flavor. — goat cheese sandwich: stale bread, stone cold, despite avocado no taste — chickpea salad: sad chickpeas competing for attention with… vinegar!!! Swimming in it and barely staying afloat… A lost battle… For the chickpeas. And me. 3. Dirty!!! By dirty I mean filthy, sticky tables!!! Really, seriously??? 4. Great music, hence one star. Avoid folks. This neighborhood has a lot more going on than this«thing».

Funny and friendly service, and very prompt too. I came here for lunch and I enjoyed a grilled cheese and potato salad. Actually next time I’ll skip the potato salad, it was pretty good but very very small portion, less than¼ of a potato. I’ll defenately try the brownie next time! It looked so yummy!

No one cares about this place anymore. No way TC gives this a second thought. Empty, forgotten, unforgettably bad.

‘Wichcraft deserves more than it’s current rating. This place is great for a perfect portioned and delicious lunch sandwich. Been here once and when I saw the menu, I wasn’t genuinely interested. However, I decided to order the pole-caught tuna and although I asked them to take out olives(because i hate olives), they weren’t able to because of how it was prepared. Anyhow, I was expecting my sandwich to be filled with nasty flavors of olives which i hated, but to my surprised, i LOVE it. ‘Wichcraft mushed up the olives so it almost served as a sauce with the aioli & lemon. And the three goes together so well that I can’t wait to go back for more.

This review is for takeout provided by my company, so I do not know the cost at all or even the location it was ordered at. But I’m assuming it was this one since it’s the closest to our building. I had an orange/mango fizzy drink in a glass bottle, which was delicious. It’s apparently really healthy too! I had a chicken and kale sandwich on a ciabatta roll. They didn’t take out the kale stems, which I dislike because I think they are really bitter. Plus, the spread tasted like horseradish or mustard, and I dislike both very much. So I did not enjoy this sandwich at all. They had a chickpea salad with celery, raw red onions, and vinegar dressing that I really did not like either. Their chocolate scone is pretty decent though! And I have hope for the chips – haven’t tried them yet. Overall a pretty sad meal.

Coffee happy hour from 3 – 6 is great for a quick pick-me-up, but recently they have raised their prices across the board(happy hour included). The only thing I usually come in for is for a quick coffee. When I’ve tried sandwiches in the past they under deliver being overly buttery and not particularly delicious. The staff is hit or miss friendly and seems to change completely every few months.
