It’s not often you see a sandwich truck so it’s worth stopping by if that’s what you’re in the mood for. The service is friendly and the pricing is reasonable, especially for the area. The food itself is so-so, nothing to write home about, and the sandwiches themselves are rather small. They’re usually parked right around the corner from my office so convenience is a plus, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to find them.

Passed by there earlier today while running errands in the area. I’m big on sandwiches, so seeing a sign that says«Best Sandwiches…» got my attention. I was aiming for the Reuben but the guys asked if I wanted the«Best chicken cutlet» and even offered me a sample. The cutlet itself was pretty good I’ll say so I was sold. I ended up getting the«Spanish» which was chicken cutlet, lettuce, tomato, avocado, jalepeno and mayo on a hero… for $ 6.50!!! The damn thing had to weight two pounds. The sandwich was pretty good, not great or outstanding but pretty good. Pair that with a hero with those ingredients for $ 6.50 and I’d have to deem y experience a win. Guys are nice too, i never felt pressured. People were ordered coffee and whatnot and everytime, the truck guy would say«here’s your World Best…». It was humorous to some extent and reminded me a bit of the scene in «Elf» where Will Ferrell walks into a small place claiming to have the World’s Best Cup of Coffee on their storefront and shouts«Congradulations!!» Foodies might want a big more, but for a weekday lunch I think it does the job.

Wow. Followed Unilocal and got screwed. Either the Truck foodies here are on an exhaust high or the WBST has a bunch of «patrons» who really love them. Doesn’t happen to often so I’ll let it pass. First let me say that if they ever decide to rename this operation, they should go with«Not Bad Deli Sandwiches At Half the Price». Seriously I doubt there’s anything remotely close to «Worlds Best» here. So got to the truck all excited like and saw that it was just a guy in a truck with the basic deli stuff you can get anywhere else on any corner. Bummer. I got the chicken salad with diminishing hopes — yeah perhaps a bland choice but if you can do that right, well then the other guys like parmigiana chicken should rock my world right? Got the chicken salad with lettuce tomato on Rye. And got exactly that. No more no less. It was decent but no where near the 4 star marks this place is getting. Not even close. So instead of being the douchbag and giving 1 start to «balance» the rating, I’ll rate honestly what I got. Nuff said.

Since i haven’t really seen any sandwich trucks, this might be the world’s best sandwich truck, but it’s far from the best sandwich. The sandwich was cheap, but it also didn’t have a lot of meat in it. It was like any sandwich you get from a generic corner deli. I had the scarface when i went. Toastie’s make the same exact sandwich, only a lot better. The guys working the truck were really nice so i kinda feel bad writing this review, but the truck has like 4 stars and that’s just ridiculous.

Couple years back, I used to work right across the street from them. Even on my way to work, they would shout a «heyyyyy or good morning» to me. They were always so nice and friendly. The food is good… really good. Never having a reuben before, I opted to try one and OHEMGEE… amazing! I’ve tried a few other sandwiches and was never disappointed. They even have a phone number where you can call ahead if you’re too busy with work and can’t afford to wait on line. Now that I’m back in the area again, I can’t wait to go see them. I wonder if they’ll recognize me: P

I’ve been coming to this truck since I started work across the street. I normally come here to grab a breakfast sandwich($ 2.50) or a muffin in the morning. I always take a glance at the Lunch Menu to see what they have. One item always sticks out and makes me want it so early in the morning… It’s the«SCARFACE» ! This sandwich consists of Corned Beef, Hot Pastrami, Swiss Cheese, Lettuce/Tomato and Russian Dressing on a roll. This is not bad at all for $ 5.75. It’s a bit pricey around here, but this is actually cheap. Fills me up just right and very flavorful. Asked to get it toasted. It’s much better toasted. They have a lot of treats for breakfast and lunch. This is my go to place in the morning if I don’t bring anything to eat.

Surprisingly I don’t know how this truck ended up in NY Mag’s 2010 Top 25 Best food Trucks article. But, I mean that in a good way. This truck is definitely a hole in the wall type of food truck. However, they serve good quality sandwiches for a really low price, considering its Manhattan. The best thing to get for a quick bite or lunch is the chicken salad sandwich. For $ 4.50, you get a lot of meat on a roll and is pretty satisfying. The guy serving me wasn’t too friendly when I was attempting some small talk. But, when you work in a truck all day in the hot summer sun, I don’t blame the guy. As long as I got a nice delicious sandwich for a great price, you can’t complain! 4 outta 5!

These guys are great! I work three doors down from their truck, so I am a frequent customer. I normally get bagels in the morning from them(sometimes other stuff), and they always remember how I like my orders. Their food is very good and cheap, but their greatest asset is their customer service. They’re always very friendly, and I love that they wave at me every time I walk by and say hello. I love them!

The food is great, good chicken salad for $ 4, though to beat. But just about everything off this truck is yummy(they have everything from burgers to chicken parm, to breakfast food) and even better when you consider how inexpensive it is(they use all Boars Head meat)! The best part though… these guys actually do remember you and what you like. I go there about once a week or 10 days and they remember exactly how I like my sandwich every time!

I was totally doubtful about this place but I wanted a philly and a new place… & I was not at all disappointed. So freaking delicious I’m already thinking about I’ll get from them tomorrow… The guys are really nice, will cook it just the way you like it and a 5 dollar philly always sounds good to me.

I’m surprised there’s only two reviews, because these guys are hilarious. It’s one of those quirky things where you go to their usual spot on 20th to find that they are not there. Digging through to the phone number, all you get is this really bad reception cackle; they are probably somewhere else in Flatiron today. So the question always becomes, «where’s the truck today?» They’ve got great fries, but the sandwiches are well done, the only thing being that they are fairly small(when i first saw that it was 5 bucks for a sandwich I thought this was a great deal until I realized the sandwich was about as large a diameter as a mid-sized bagel, which is pretty small. I like the Reuben, it’s a great balance of all the ingredients not too much of one thing or the other. And the dudes are funny and really nice, they probably get a lot of numbers. Just don’t call them because you won’t be able to hear anything over that phone.

When people talk about cheesburgers, i always tell them this is the best place ever for them. Not only is the taste perfect, but after you eat it you don’t feel gross and unhealthy. On top of that, the freakin burger is only $ 2.50! The other thing i get from here alot is the phily cheesesteaks with peppers and onions. Again, another deal. Delicious and cheap. I’ve never really seen too much of a line, but if your lunchtime is limited, call ahead of time to order and pick up.

There is a truck on 20th st btw Park and Broadway that says«World’s Best Sandwiches». I’ve walked by this truck many times and finally decided to see if I agree. There’s no specialty or remarkable sounding sandwiches, fairly straight forward. As I LOVE a good cuban sandwich, I decided to start with that. At $ 7, it was the most expensive item on the menu. Other sandwiches range from $ 2.50-$ 6. It was on a sub so it was huge. I should have stopped at half and saved the other half. But it was so good I didn’t want to stop. The pork was real roasted pork, chopped not sliced(a requirement for me). The ham and pickles were good and the swiss was real(some places use processed swiss.) While it was flattened, it wasn’t really toasted. But I’m willing to forgive. All in all — damn good sandwich. I caught a glimpse of the chicken cutlets, they look really good. Think I’ll try those next.
