I came to this spot today with a friend to do some work, and after a couple of hours, we ordered lunch. I got the grilled sandwich with pesto, mozzarella, some kind of crumble, topped with a tomato sauce. The sandwich came on a sesame seed bun, which was very unappealing. To top that, the flavors were underwhelming and did not work well together. But, what took the cake, is that after a few bites I noticed that the center of my CHICKEN breast was pink! I wish I’d taken a picture before taking it back to the counter. When I returned the sandwich and explained that the chicken was undercooked, the attendant looked at me like I was crazy. I’ve had better service and a tastier/more nutritious meal at Jamba Juice. Needless to say, I will not be patronizing ‘wichcraft again. In some way, I think it’s funny(and somehow not surprising) that this place was opened up by Tom Colicchio. I imagine he’s raking it in, hand over fist, with this mediocre establishment.

The worst food. Especially for how much you pay for it. The service is sub par at best. Not one smiling face in the building. I ordered a turkey, BACON, and avacado sandwich… No bacon. Basically turkey and bread.

Working on 12th avenue, there isn’t much nearby to grab a good coffee, breakfast or meal unless you want to eat at the work cafeteria. ‘Wichcraft is a pretty good alternative if you are willing to overpay for everything. Every morning I like to go in to grab a coffee and bagel. While the line runs smoothly thanks to(most of) the friendly cashiers who know how to do their job, I have an issue when it comes to those behind the scenes. All I want is an everything bagel toasted properly with cream cheese. Not burned or barely warmed up. The worst offense is getting a subpar amount of cream cheese. If I am going to pay $ 2.30 I want a proportionate amount of cream cheese to the size of the bagel. There MUST be some sort of ration back there that they utterly refuse to put a respectable amount on for you. My coworker and I have resorted to ask for extra cream cheese, which you would think would be overwhelming but that is the only way to get the proper amount. It’s a small thing to complain about but when it happens every day, it gets aggravating. And a terrible way to start your work day. UPDATE: Today 6.10.15 I was rudely told that I needed to pay for extra cream cheese when I asked if there could be just a little more on my bagel. I said I wouldn’t mind if ‘wichcraft was more consistent with their cream cheese amounts. She didn’t look at me while I spoke and tossed my food to me after she let it me «slide» and not charge this time. Open my bagel, and there is barely any cream cheese. How is THATEXTRA? Unsolved mysteries at ‘wichcraft. The cream cheese ration continues.

I ordered the Bacon & Egg croissant w/Gorgonzola this morning but they forgot the Gorgonzola! Please be reminded that this sandwich costs(with tax) is $ 7.75! This is a one egg sandwich with a little bit of frisee(endives) and bacon that’s the equivalent of what you would see on a Burger King or Wendy’s burger. it was razor thin and tasted like total garbage. The total cost to make this disappointment of a sandwich cannot be more than maybe 50 cents!!! Sadly, I eat here only because it is one of the only places you can go within the building/area. The lunch menu is a little better but the consistency of product is terrible. You could get the same soup two days in a row and swear that you ordered a different item. The sandwiches are often skimpy, cold or even burnt. Grilled cheese is only 1 slice of cheese some days. The sometimes forget to give you your baked bread stick with your soup. One day my soup had a hair. I complained, the manager gave me a free sandwich for the miserable experience. Guess it’s my own fault for going back to only be disappointed each and every time. I should quit being lazy and pack my lunch from now on. This place used to be the rage, now it’s nothing more than a rip off! You’ve been warned!

Food is okay, priced really high but that’s probably due to convenience… Every food place in this building has plates that cost $ 10 on average. I would definitely visit again because it does have a nice atmosphere and the employees were very helpful, but it would have to be on a day that I feel lazy to walk a few blocks to get cheaper food that’s more filling.

Ok food. Expensive for what it is. When I sat down to eat I was attacked by half a dozen fruit flies. When I was done there were only four so I probably ate two of them.

This particular ‘wichcraft feels more like a small-town neighborhood coffee shop than a restaurant chain in a monstrous commercial office building. Every customer here is treated as if they were a «regular.» I was greeted each morning – BYNAME– with a smile and the«usual» already up on the bar. … Superior service. Amazing baristas. A coffee shop where everybody knows your name. Special shout out to Crystal!!!

I traveled here on a freeeeeezing cold December day just to visit my ol’ stomping/dancing grounds of the Tunnel. Ya know the club back in the y2k+ years? Spent a lot of fun times here and wanted to see what it amounted to. I was excited because although I knew I never could dance here again at least I could eat! As I read up on the current status of the Tunnel, I was super excited that chef Tom Colicchio created the inventively named ‘wichcraft, in this structure. Did he come to the Tunnel back in the day cause I am sure there was some witchcraft going on in one of the rooms of the Tunnel… I kid… I think. As I walked into the building which houses ‘wichcraft, I remembered that long, worn, wooden floor. I was such an amazing memory. I ran my fingers across the huge studded beams that supported this now very trendy, modern space. It was very quiet aside from the drilling of construction going on. The place itself is a little tucked in nook(I think where the Tunnel’s entrance used to be?) It has a few tables and chairs set outside. It actually reminded me of an indoor food truck if that makes sense. Order at an open window, get your freshly made meal also at the open window. I have to say, I did expect a little less, «fast food feel.» I had already looked at the menu online so I knew in advance what I was ordering. I had a surprisingly hard time finding something that appealed to me. EVERYTHING had either onions or cheese, which I personally despise. I went with the roasted turkey sandwich(turkey, avo, bacon, aioli and onion relish.) I am sure I could have 86-ed the onion relish, but I could never imaginary-insult the great Chef Tom C. I collected my lunch, which I must say was presented to me on a plate, handed to me on a chef-quality baking pan. I loved it. It made me laugh because I work at a place where I can identify a real life chef’s baking pan! I sat at the cute little table in the middle of the floor where I had so many memories soaking up the nostalgia and the bites of my flavorful sandwich. It was good. Turkey was fresh, avocado and bacon never disappoint, aoili meshed perfect with everything, but it was hard for me to get over that onion relish. Huge chunks in every bite. Most would love it I am sure. I finished up and went exploring a bit. I needed to use the restroom and saw signs that led me downstairs to what used to be the«hip hop room.» All bathrooms were locked. grrrrrrr… Actually, even the upstairs restrooms were locked. I can see this place as a quick hour lunch break joint. Quick lunch, in and out, me I needed to drink in all I could.

I paid $ 10 for a tiny mediocre grilled cheese. Still starving.

Only came for an iced coffee and that’s about as much business as I would give this place. I couldn’t have my latte because they already shut the machine… your store isn’t closed yet so why is your machine? We asked them three times if we ordered at the register or further down and they finally decided to answer us and did so in a fairly rude way. Everything they asked was very rude, even what kind of milk we wanted. They gave us two cookies in the end for our«troubles.» This location is more of a last minute, convenient option. There’s nothing in this place that will keep me coming back for more.

Everyone is right — this place is a little highly priced, but my bigger complaint is that the bread they use for their grilled sandwiches is always SO greasy. They must load it up with butter or grease before grilling because even when trying to go the healthy route with the type of sandwich I get, I always end up feeling gross afterwards. I do like that they have some beers on tap and their service is pretty quick if you’re in a hurry.

I went to this wichcraft two times, and the first time was actually pretty awesome. I had tuna sandwich and tomato soup. I was INLOVE with the tomato soup, but the the sandwich was meh because it was little dry and the bread was too tough. However, it was still a good sandwich because of the lemon flavor(?) or the capers that gave the sandwich freshness. The tomato soup… the breadsticks(?) or cracker sticks went really well with the parmesan cheese and the creamy tomato consistency. It was so good. This is all during the first time experience. My second experience, it was relatively same, but… I had food poisoning. I threw up everything. –______________– Sigh I am never returning to wichcraft ever again.

This is my first experience at a Wichcraft but thanks to this location, i will never step foot inside another location. The food is stale, old and the service is mediocre at best. I’ve tried several menu options and find this to be a repeating theme-nothing is fresh. I’ve been freelancing in the area and there aren’t many places where you can turn to for a savory lunch… I’m very disappointed these guys don’t have it together.

it’s only ok because of the service — since it’s one of the only places to eat in the area the lines are always long. They have improved the wait time for food slightly… Overall I think the food is delicious! Grilled cheese and soup — totally worth the $ 10. The most disappointing thing is that they took the meatloaf sandwich off the menu — BUMMER. They have the perfect hangover cure — grits with ham & cheese. That’s what I’m eating now, wink wink wink.

I have met my sister here for lunch a few times, and because im a teeny tiny person I like to get the grilled cheese off the kids menu! They use yummy cheeses and I get a fruit cup too haha. This is a super busy location because it is one of the most convenient places to eat for people who work in this building. well besides the café they have on the 8th floor. .but you get what im putting out.

This location, though close to the one I’ve ordered from, but is NOT relative to this one. Here goes: Short boring menu Rude cashier rubbery croissant after heated Update: Yummy zesty tomato soup w parmesan cheese! Great consistency and flavor! Would try guryere w carm onions some day.

I’ve always loved eating any of the witchcraft sandwiches but this is absolutely the worst location I’ve ever been too. The food isn’t the problem, their main issue is that you cannot come here hungry! I’ve been there twice and both times I’ve had to wait over 20mins for my meal. I’m really confused since every other location I’ve been to has had decent to excellent service. If you can avoid this location then do so, but if you decide to come in here then I say good luck and I sure hope you have patience and don’t come during the lunch rush. TERRIBLE and UNACCEPTABLE for a sandwich shop.
