A friend and I stopped by here as the owners were closing up for the night. They were so amazing and re-​opened the store for us for a few minutes, all the while helping us pick out what we needed and doing so with a smile. Excellent service!

Last night I sent a bottle to friends for their anniversary. I gave the man on the phone (owner) a price of $ 200 not to go above. Today they sent a picture of the bottle. This bottle sells fro the highest at $ 125 but West Coast (not knowing where I was… on the UWS it happens) charged me $ 195! When I called the man told me he was fere to charge what he wants!
You are crazy to buy wines from these horrible people.

Super-​friendly staff, good midrange stock, and reasonable prices.
A few noteworthy features:
* They’ve got a thing about extremes: lots of super-​large bottles of booze and wine, and a huge variety of nip bottles near the register. Good for gift-​giving, at either end of the spectrum.
* They’re 2 doors down from a BYOB kosher restaurant, so they’ve got lots of kosher wine options.
* Tiny aisles, and high shelves. Ask for help.

Great variety and devoid of the pretension you run in to all too frequently in the UES/​Carnegie Hill area. My boyfriend and I live closer to another liquor store, but have started to brave the extra few blocks because of West Coast’s extra attention to customer service. Super friendly and great prices.

This place is amazing. The owners are so sweet, and totally went out of the way for my friends and I and reopened the store after they had closed at 10 on a Saturday night.
