Very unprofessional and not at all customer friendly(Asian man) We went to buy a bottle of whiskey — we asked for a Black Label and the guy gave us a large bottle. We asked him for a small bottle, he told that he already processed the credit card. We asked him to reverse as he didn’t even ask what size did we want? — he was reluctant and told us he cannot, we were assertive and asked him to reverse, so then he started laughing demeaningly, giving a smug laugh and started racially profiling us(thinking he was superior to us and that we better accept whatever he was«offering») We were quite displeased and we asked him to give us a «void» receipt. He again started laughing and was sending us a body language of ‘dont ever come in here, you cheap losers“ This man is a rude, smug, racist and believes he can use shady selling practices to deceive customers. Sorry I’m not entering again and neither should you. I rather get liquor from a place that respects and appreciates a customer and your identity instead of some smug, racist owner who believes he can get away with anything.

The Asian man who owns the shop is amazing. He always listens to what I’m looking for and recommends a great wine. However, I went in when the Indian man was working and picked up a bottle that was $ 14.50 with tax and tried to pay with a CC. He refused saying there was a $ 15 minimum which is illegal in NYC where the minimum can be no higher than $ 10. I told him this, showed him the law, and he said, «I don’t care if it’s illegal. It’s our policy so either pay or get out.» I said«if illegal actions don’t bother you, maybe I’ll just steal this bottle of wine.» He told me to «get the eff out if my shop». Okay fine. I used to get 2 bottles a week for my apartment mates and me but he lost a regular because it was 50 cents below his ILLEGAL policy. Great doing business with you!

I live a block away, a lot of wine stores in the neighborhood – this is my favorite! The owner & staff are always so nice & knowledgeable. They have a great selection + some hard to fine wines. Best selection of under $ 20 bottles in the neighborhood. They’re usually open pretty late too.

Store manager started cursing at me after he charged me because he thought I was lying about my address. Will never return to this disgusting establishment.

These guys are A-OK! This is my easy wine shop. I live nearby so this is my go-to spot. Small wine shop but a lot of bottles stuffed in there. They leave you alone when you come in and they let you peruse solo which is nice if you want to browse. I have gone in and bought a bottle I liked and then gone another time and they won’t have that wine again. They have whites on display and usually have one chilling so ask if theres a chilled one too if that’s your preference. If you ask for help, they will indeed help you. Very nice. They will let you know if they also don’t know what U want/need. They have a decent selection. I like 10 – 15 $ bottles and they certainly have them. They are not really over inflated prices for the area. They are open good enough hours for me to run on in.

Reasonably priced, decent selection, nice service. Was at Oak and Steel first(little selection, no help)– glad I walked out and went a little further down.

Best Wine & Spirit Spot in Hells Kitchen! Very friendly nice family. I will never go anywhere else. Bottles of Grey Gooose, Kettle etc. are $ 10 less expensive than the silly liquor store around the corner on 9th avenue. West 57th Wine and Spirits THANKYOU! Cheers to a FREEMARKET!
