Wendy’s

Since Wendy’s is Wendy’s i’m writing this review for this particular location. This Wendy’s is run like a well oiled machine. There was a separate line if you were getting a combo meal complete with a concierge. The food came out quickly and was piping hot. They did forget to put one of my sandwiches in my bag but when I came back up they had it waiting for me. At least two people asked how everything was.

Wendy’s has traditionally been an after thought for me, considering that:
1. It’s fast food
2. This is New York
With so many other good alternatives, it seems almost silly to try anything like Wendy’s. However, after hearing about the 4 for $ 4 deal, I popped in here just to check it out. There was a small line, which was mostly consisting of people who looked like they were working around the area.
Long story short, the four for four deal is excellent. You get a small jr bacon cheeseburger, fries, a drink and chicken nuggets. I’m not sure if you can get the chicken nuggets replaced with another kind of side, but even if you can’t, this is an excellent deal. The food itself is also not bad! Especially the burger.
The big problem with this location however is that the area is kind of sketchy. There were a lot of homeless people sleeping on the tables and in the chairs when I went, which can definitely affect the ambiance, and I’m willing to bet that it doesn’t differ much here day by day. There is a downstairs seating area which isn’t much different either. However, no one comes here for ambiance, and if you get your food to go, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Surprised to see bad reviews, I came around 7:30 on a Thursday and it wasn’t too crowded. I ordered, received my food literally three minutes later. It kind of felt suspicious, like how was it made so frickin fast? Fast food duh. But my spicy chicken sandwich was great, fries were great. My lemonade was a bit too sweet but i just let it water down w the ice. I didn’t realize medium drinks were so big. I couldn’t finish it. I got the medium combo for like $ 9 which is really cheap for Manhattan. I enjoyed this spot, the staff was also friendly. No one was rude, actually if anything the other people ordering were being rude.

Your typical Wendy’s. Because of the location close to pen station there is a lot of homeless people inside. It does not smell too good downstairs and the employees look bordd

Wendy’s is my favorite fast food chain next to White Castle, so I might be biased lol
Some of my most favorite things on their menu is the crispy chicken sandwich (mainly because it takes only one with no tomatoes), frosty, chili, and wild berry lemonade.
Today I got a small chili and a crispy chicken sandwich, which came to $ 3.90, after tax. That’s probably the cheapest lunch I’ll get in Manhattan and I think it’s pretty filling.
Service was the same as anywhere else, though I did find one of the staff’s personality (I think she was a manager) a little strong, but that might be just me.

I went into this Wendy’s twice last week and received fast cheerful service and hot food. I saw a lot of teamwork and youngsters who looked like they enjoyed having a job. That was refreshing!

The sign if entrance says «we make fresh meat right after order was received. We don’t use frozen meat»
Seriously? That’s such a lai. I ordered double meat burger with late meal. Taste was the same like other McDonald’s burgers. Even worst. Taste was like two days ago made meat. Drink was very sweet. I wasn’t the only one complaining there :(
Customer service and manager is not professional at all. The need to change staff fully I think. Aldo they need to stop lie on advertisement.

First off, food here is sub part for the standard of Wendy’s. We were here around 11pm, and after a rare negative experience at Macy’s, my Mother and I were hoping to be cheered up by mindless fast food ordering. As we were the only folks ordering, Server Daniela endured my mother’s friendly chatter with almost less than minimum courtesy. When it was my turn and I failed to notice two gentlemen pull up behind me she answered my one question about a new item with a «if you aren’t ready… «answer. I let the other men order, but she really didn’t have to brush me aside in the manner in which she did just because the second man was catching an attitude about being on line for one full minute (I let him know about my displeasure regarding him sucking his teeth).
The place has a depressing energy and they let a group of young men vape in the eating area. I don’t leave many reviews, and I don’t expect a five star experience at a chain, but come on! I’ve been here more than once and it’s always lamentable. Rant over.

I go to Wendy’s when I travel because I know the food is consistent. And it was here. My complaint is that the place was a bit of a mess. No one seemed to be cleaning the tables and there were french fries on the floor by my table. Also, they had no salt or pepper packets at the counter with the ketchum and napkins, and no salt or pepper shakers on the tables. I guess I could have asked when I got my food, but who would think to?

El clásico de Wendys. El local es muy chico, pero la baconator siempre garpa. Enfrente del Empire State, corre con la pequeña ventaja de no estar tan lleno como el McDonald’s que está al lado. Nueva York, comer rápido, y seguir de gira.

This is the worst Wendy’s I have ever been too. The staff is the worst, they always have an attitude like your bothering them. Why would they raise you pay to $ 15 dollars an hour? So you can get another neck tattoo? They are so slow and incompetent at serving the customers. Orders are always wrong when asked for the right item you get attitude. I’ll spend my money at McDonald’s next door next time!

Like your typical fast food joint. It tends to get packed around lunch and they go slow even if there isn’t a line. They sometimes have deals that are not advertised, so you would have to ask for them. The cashiers can sometimes be rude at times.

Man, late night Wendy’s always sounds like a great idea, but not this time. Food poisoning that lasted a couple days from a #1 and 20 piece nuggets. Girl, why you gotta do us this way? We were homies!

The lunch line is long, but service is always quick. Unfortunately the seating areas smell like a wet load of laundry you’ve left in the washer for a week or two.

I felt that I should write a review for this Wendy’s. I have never seen such slow service in a fast food restaurant. I almost got a $ 200 parking ticket.

We needed a quick bite during a sightseeing break, and got exactly what we were looking for. Delicious, as always, best fast food anywhere in the United States. Service was friendly, too!

They gave me a free cookie for a long wait; their customer service are thoughtful and also hard-​working, which I admire :-)

Slow service, but definitely cleaner than the other locations in town. So that’s a plus…

Horrible wait time, the staff are just talking to one another and letting friends skip the line. Downstairs stinks, has horrible smell.

After living abroad for a few years this place was pure nostalgia for me! The staff were perfectly rude and unattentive. The facilities were cleaned only to the authentic level. The food was served in a to-​go bag with greasy fries, a haphazardly built sandwich, and too much ice in my drink. I missed this place.

Que decir de Wendy’s, la verdad es que es un sitio de comida rápida al estilo Mcdonalds, pero que está mucho más rico. La hamburguesa Baconator está genial muy rica y las patatas están más buenas que las de otro sitio de comida rápida. Te atienden muy rápido y los helados son gigantes, pides un helado de 1 $ y no te lo acabas, sobre todo de chocolate están riquísimos, lástima que no haya una de estas cadenas así aquí en Barcelona porque está mejor que Mcdonals, te ponen una cocacola gigante aunque pidas menú mediano y las patatas igual. Si vais por USA pasaros por uno antes que por Mcdonalds veréis que es mejor sin duda.

This is the worst Wendy’s I have ever been to, hands down.
I don’t usually take the time to review fast-​food chain restaurants, but this was AWFUL. None of the workers seem to want to be there… though I can’t blame them. The place is sketch… crazy sketch.
The line… well… you wouldn’t know if there was 1, 2, or 3 lines first of all, and there was no order to who was next. There were too little cashiers to number of people. It took me about 15 minutes to order my food, and another 10+ minutes waiting for my food. For two people. Really???
Unless you have a desire to wait forever and a day to order some less-​than-​mediocre food, I suggest you stay away. Dave Thomas would be so ashamed.
