Rented a u-haul van which was fine. But some advice for this branch: — Don’t reneg on the 100% guaranteed box buy back deal. — Do not tell your customer that they can’t use the van for the remainder of their 24 hour rental because you already closed the account. — Do not strand your customer at midnight with a load of boxes and no transport. — Do not continually condescend to your customer, and repeatedly call them«puppy». — Do not add caveats like this u-haul branch can buy back boxes ONLY if the customer buys them with cash and not credit card.

Rented a U-Haul van from this location at 10:30pm to pick up something in midtown take it to the bronx and bring it back to this location The van cost $ 19.99 plus insurance $ 10 = $ 30 can’t complain the van only had about 150 miles on it, it was brand new ! drove brand new, smelled brand new and was spotless clean and they gave it to us with a full tank Gave the van pack the same day at exactly 1am that’s the last time you can give it back… otherwise you’ll have to give it back the next day… i put about 60 miles on it. total came up to $ 75 ! plus i had to fill it up with gas to where it had it from the start and all i put was $ 6 in gas! i recommend renting the van it barely eats up gas to save you $$

Uhaul is just about the sleaziest business out there-a«$ 19.95» rental ends up costing over a hundred when all the added fees kick in, the website is very hard to navigate without buying things you don’t want, and anyone renting from them is bound to get screwed. That said, the one on 131st and B’way goes the extra mile. The trucks barely run, are filthy, they charge for damages and dents that have been there so long that rust has developed around them, are rude, sarcastic, and seem to revel in their disdain for the customers. They will cover up the receipt to have you sign for extra, worthless insurance which they provide for free with the rental. They will say that there is more gas in the truck than there really is. Go there at your own peril.
