This store is supposed to be moving to a hipper location in Soho or MP, while shuttering this prime Madison space in the process.
I first came to know TSE through a lovely mint and canary yellow cashmere sweater I purchased at
. I went to this store thinking I would find more lovely little pieces like that. I was bombarded with anything but the aforementioned. The clothes are overly traditional and stuffy to the point that I had to look at the label of my sweater to make sure I went to the right brick and mortar store.
The staff was either busy or just not interested in helping me. I understand that I am not the 60+ year old customer that they are accustomed to, but still. If The Boy needs assistance then The Boy needs assistance.
Hopefully, things will improve as they move downtown and redefine their presence in the contemporary.

Not worth buying anything in the shop since most of the styles remain the same from season to season. You have better success buying stuff from the outlet store in Harriman after Christmas.
