This place serves like 100 versions of a cold pressed juice and the guy who works here just oozes good vibes. He picks the fruits/veggies from the stand next door and gets to work. Super fresh and delicious. About $ 7-$ 8 per juice which is average.

Wondered into this food market, enjoy it while you can, heard rumors it’s not going to around for long anymore. Had a great juice here. Fast, no frills, relatively cheap, very friendly owners. No pictures allowed in the entire hall.

We bought about ten different types of cake balls to take home. The first two were good, but not great. Unfortunately, the lemon drop ball was completely moldy between the cake and the icing! Dear shop owner, you have to throw away old ones! Yuck!

I’ve eaten fish tacos in lots of city hot spots. These are the best. The green juice is also first rate. Not too many places to sit but you’ll eat them so fast, it won’t matter

I was just wandering around after getting out of the Delancey St subway exit. And I stumbled upon the market this Juice Bar is situated in. Searched it up on Unilocal, there were pretty decent reviews so I decided to give it a try. Was impressed. Ordered the Anxiety Potion, and what caught my attention was how they made sure there was minimal dilution in the juice taste by putting ice into a strainer, and making the juice go through that. The result was fresh and full tasting juice. Was sweet, but I still tasted all the healthy. An added bonus was that while he was filling the cup, there was too much juice in the pitcher from using too much fruit, so he told me to drink a bit of the cup and then he poured the remaining in, so I got more than the cup. Great place to stop by for a juice. I only got to try one of their selection, wish I could order more.

This is absolutely my favorite place to get juice anywhere. I don’t live in New York but I visit often. I’m lucky enough to stay with a friend who lives right around the corner from here. Usually, I am helped by the kindest soul. His name is Daniel and he has a wonderful presence! The owners are sweet guys as well. As for the juice — top notch and totally affordable! Fresh pressed cold and delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for healthy refreshment and good vibes.

Ppl are nice and friendly. So friendliness score is 5 star. The grouper fish sandwich is tasty. They season the grilled fish very nicely: Just wish that the piece of fish is thicker. So for food 4 stars. But I only paid 4.5 $ so…

We came to the market for boozy ice cream and ran into this cute little place filled with confections. My friend saw the rum balls and it was all she wrote… we had to have a few to taste. All of them contained alcohol… God bless the baker. Ended up with margarita, kahlua, and rum balls. I applaud them all, especially the rum ones. We will be back. The baker Ron had just finished the rum with chocolate coated chimis/jimis/sprinkles. Moist and delicious.

Two words: CAKEBALLS. One word to describe them: BALLLLS! Stumbled on the Essex Market on a brief visit to NYC on the LES. Walking through the market I noticed the most awesome display of the cutest little colorful cake balls… CAKEBALLS??! What are these pretty little things I ask? Nevermind. don’t tell me, just give me some! Dense and moist, I’d say a cross between cake and brownie consistency inside, chocolate or other flavored coating on the outside. I tried a variety of flavors — all super delicious. Flavors are very natural and true with actual fruit and/or booze in them. Not sickeningly sweet like they look — which is very dangerous because you can eat a dozen and not be sick :) I went back twice for my fill of cake balls and also got some for the plane ride home. CHOCOLATETRUFFLECAKEBALL!!! JUSTKILLME… THEBESSSTTTT!!! Ok these guys are a little flamboyant just so you know what to expect but they are cool and I will definitely be going back to try their other stuff next time I am in town!

I always stop by for a juice when I’m in LES and remember these guys are here. Very reasonable price for Manhattan and always nice people behind the counter, which I find to be an important ingredient in proper juice preparation. Also, just discovered today they make fresh fish sandos as they are a part of the fish market adjacent to them. I’m about to eat it, but I am betting my 5 stars it’s on point. … Yup, spot on.

I simply ordered a Mango with Yogurt smoothie. Tasted great and the price was decent at $ 5.50(regular size). The clerk could’ve been nicer but that’s just me being anal.

As a SF bay area native, I’m always in the mood for some fresh juice, especially after gluttonously eating my way through New York the last few days. I was already a fan of The Essex St Market, so I was glad that there was a juice bar in here. The owner is super nice and can make you whatever juice for a flat price of $ 6 for a large juice with as many fruits/veggies you want(as long as he has them!) He also owns the bakery right across from it so I picked up some cake balls. I grabbed a matcha green tea, chocolate peanut butter, and chocolate banana walnut. All of them were really good and pretty true to its flavors. I also love how it wasn’t overly sweet as most cake balls tend consist of too much sweet frosting, these seem to maintain its cake-like texture.

Just bought a blueberry muffin here. Paid with a 20 dollar bill(all I had, just came from ATM). Snippy male clerk: «A 20 dollar bill for a $ 2.50 muffin? WOW.» Last time I come here!

One day I was walking in the Essex Market and I stumbled upon a display of the most beautiful cake balls I had ever seen. It is very rare to find cake balls anywhere. There were so many unique flavors, but I didn’t have any cash on me. I tried to look up the place, but it was very difficult to find online. Fast forward to today, when I was back, armed with cash. The stall is unmanned, and if you want a cake ball you have to talk to the guys across the way at Tra La La Juice bar(I guess they own the cake place). I asked which is the best between the matcha green tea, the fig, and the chocolate banana. He said the matcha was the best so I got that. It’s just $ 2 for one, and they are satisfying without being sickeningly sweet. It would be a great gift to buy a couple of these for somebody, or split a few flavors between friends. Based on other Unilocal reviews I really want to try their juices and muffins too!

Wait-hold on-I’ve been walking past this little gem of a market for nearly 10 months & this is my first time?! I feel cheated. The owner was a Gem himself. Best juice press I’ve had in the City so far, half the price HANDSDOWN. I also LOVED their fresh grouper sandwich on toasted bread, for $ 4.50-what a steal. I am from Florida, I know what’s fresh! ;) New addiction starts here.

The owner is a super nice, attentive man who didn’t mind me asking like seven questions before ordering. A bit of an oddball selection, but quite delicious. I had the fennel, celery, ginger juice. Delicious. $ 6 for 16 ounce, not too shabby!

Everything here is made with love and efficiency. They have smart pre-made recipes or make your own. It’s all fresh and hey even have whey/soy protein! My first choice for smoothies in the city.

To be truthful — I do not think it EVER happened where I tried a snack at a joint and end up still thinking about it that same night, up until the next morning. That was how good it was. Not a full-course meal, not a full-blown service-type of restaurant, but JUSTONEDARNTACO that ended up filling my thoughts pleasantly for the rest of the night. When does THAT ever happen? Initially it seemed a bit weird that a juice place served up tacos– but i was prepared to accept that it wasn’t up to par.(there is another taco joint a few yards away so that made it even more likely that this place was not specialized in tacos.) To my utmost surprise — THETACOSWERE Amaaaaaaaaaazing!!! Super super super super super! Upon handing me my order, the tacos were pipin’ hot!!! When I opened the wrapping I saw how huge the taco size was, and the amt of fish portions that they gave. I could not wait to take a bite… up until the last bite, it was STILL hot! WHOA! Moreover, the fish was SUPERFRESH. I dont even like fish tacos, to be frank. it’s really not my thing at all. But I was only going to try it for the heck of it. The fish market is nearby and that is where they get their local produce(excellent idea!). The flavors were not intense at all. I expected spicy, but thank goodness it wasn’t because sometimes the spice just hides all the natural underlying flavors. In addition, they gave a side of salsa verde. totally did not need it. But it’s a great idea for those who wants that kick. As most reviewers noted, this is store is not what it seems like. They have fresh juice items and baked goods on the side. Who in the world would have thought that they would serve up a kick ass taco? Meanwhile, five stars not only for the tacos but clouding my thoughts for the rest of the day/night after this tasting moment. This place totally deserves on the food network… but then again, do I want to wait in looong line in the future? Hehehe…

Situated inside Essex Street Market. It’s your neighborhood juice bar. Fresh ingredients of veggies and fruits, made right in front of you. Had the ABC apple, beet, and carrot with a touch of ginger. Great energy kick and well made. Priced well for this area.
