Sweet Buttons Desserts

Was in the area tonight & decided to give this place a try! I’m glad my expectations were met because it is not often that I find really good dessert spots. My friends and I came here for the mousse and I was surprised at the availability of various flavors. I tried the chocolate and tiramisu mousse, but next time I’m definitely going for the mango one. The mousse are in cute glass jars and each layer appears to be different, but the overall taste is authentic and very sweet. In fact the tiramisu mousse was just as good as the really great tiramisu I’ve had at an Italian restaurant. The staff members here also seem friendly, and although there are not too many seats available, it is a nice cozy place to enjoy some sweets and catch up with friends :)

My gf and I walked in yesterday after a short brunch at Stanton Social and immediately loved the playful atmosphere of the shop– with tiny cakes looming from the ceiling and shiny sprinkles. We decided on the tart of the month– the SummerTime Lime and also grabbed a dark chocolate salted ganache tart and a chocolate nutella cupcake.

Everything was so delicious and fresh! The milk, eggs, cream, butter– the chef spares no expense when crafting these tiny bites of joy! The textures are so silky and rich!
I will absolutely be back for more: D

I would give this place overall a 3.5 because I ordered something I didn’t really like. It was alright, I think if it was a different flavor, I would like it a lot more. I came today and ordered a cherry blossom dessert jar. The dessert jar wasn’t too sweet or anything, something I would like, probably in a different flavor though. I’ll recommend this place for some sweets! I’ll definetely return and try other dessert jar flavors. Their cupcakes and cookies looked appetizing as well!

I absolutely love this place. I will walk over the Williamsburg bridge for their parcha Tart!!! OMGGGGG. My only complaint is that I wish the tart would be BIGGER!!! LOL
I just tasted their cookies. Heavenly. oatmeal raisin was soft and amazing.
The cup cakes are so adorable and they have cool new flavors. This is a must try

Sweet Buttons is a cozy little coffee and dessert spot on the corner of Rivington and Orchard Street. They offer cupcakes, cookies, tarts, «dessert jars» and a wide range of coffees and teas.
The cupcakes, which weren’t «full sized» but also weren’t «mini» (quotation marks because not sure of a cupcake standard), were moist, filled and fresh. The buttercream frosting was super sweet. The huge cookie tasted as if it had just been baked: soft and delicious!
Not sure if it varies based on the time of the day, but there were about eight different kinds of cupcakes to choose from. (We were there on a Sunday). Definitely not overwhelming like other cupcake places that offer too many flavors but I would have liked to see more options.
Lastly, great prices and accommodating staff. If you find yourself in the lower east side, I’d recommend satisfying your sweet tooth with a cupcake from Sweet Buttons.

Ordered 6 mini cupcakes and they were all tasty until my friend found a staple in the center of the filling in one of them. My friend and I immediately lost our appetite. Of all things, a staple in a bakery? It could have potentially hurt someone young.

This review is based solely on their customer service. Was planning on driving there to pick up some cupcakes for my wife on a sunday evening. Looked up on Unilocal and saw they close at 8 pm. I know Unilocal might not be the most accurate in terms of business hours so i decided to give them a call to confirm their hours but nobody picks up their phone. Afterwards i realized they had a website so i checked their hours of operation and it was same as what was on Unilocal so i decided to drive there and pick some up to surprise my wife. When i arrived at 7:10 pm, the gates were down and the gates on the door was half down but i see workers still inside and cupcakes and other desserts were still there and not packed away yet. They did not let me in and didn’t even bother to open door to tell me they were closed. Then i realized on the door they updated their hours changing it to closing at 7.
Highly disappointed and upset because i traveled all this way and not able to get anything for my wife. Their website is deceiving and not accurate. Not sure if i will be back even if they are good cupcakes.

The gigantic chocolate chip cookies were delicious. It was crunchy on the outside and moist in the inside. The individual chocolate chips were smooth and melted in your mouth.
The mini cupcakes are definitely a treat! There is a filling in each of those cupcakes.

Dropped in here after dinner because I was craving something sweet, and I was so so happy I did. I bought a blueberry cheesecake cupcake and it was exactly what I needed. The frosting melted in my mouth and the cupcake was so soft and buttery. My boyfriend doesn’t like sweets at all but he said the cupcake was pretty good.

The desserts here are fresh and bite-​sized which is great especially if you want to try a few different kinds. The Chocolate covered monkey in a jar was really yummy! We got the toffee walnut and smores cookies which were bangin. Prices are really reasonable especially for NY. Cute little place with friendly staff!

Came across this café by chance when I was walking my dog in this Neighborhood. I looked them up on Unilocal and sure enough they had lots of good review, also $ 1 off when check in with Unilocal.Had to drop my dog off and come back since dogs are not unfortunately allowed!
They have a good size café for being in Manhattan. They have sitting area, and a very nice presentation of their sweets. The two employees were very polite and pleasant.
I got two different kind of huge cookies, one with coconut, the other was toffee. Had a delicious snack to eat for the next several days at work.

Mike C is clearly racist. This place is great! It’s more like BUFU-«by us, f you»… Lol Not all Asians are tiny and petite, Mike. This place is great! I love the green tea latte. The passion fruit tart is TO DIE FOR.

A little sweet treat oasis amidst the LES drinks-​and-​pizza scene. Walk in and you’ll be wowed by a vast array of mini cupcakes, tarts, and «dessert in a jar.» You’ll probably want one of everything. Thankfully even if you chose to do so, it wouldn’t break the bank. The little treats range from $ 1.50-$ 2.25 (a bit more for the jars). The cupcakes come in all kinds of clever concoctions and are at least 4x the size of Baked By Melissa minis without even doubling the price.
They’ve got seating and hot beverages for those who choose to «dine in» — but it seemed to be more of a «treats go go» trend happening on the evening I visited.
Look forward to returning for more of their creations sometime soon!

It was a chilly night so my friend and I wanted to grab a hot drink nearby LES. My friend got a simple hot chocolate and I got a small apple cider. The apple cider was good, but could be better. I also got the matcha mango pana cotta and I liked how it wasn’t too sweet! I don’t think you can go wrong with any of their panna cottas –it’s my favorite from here :) I usually get the strawberry pana cotta so it was nice to get something different for a change. Sweet buttons is my go to spot around the area of LES that still doesn’t disappoint!

I’ve been here a couple times and the desserts always hit the spot. I love the panna cottas, but the cupcakes (only $ 1.50!) are just as delicious.

I have never actually been to this place, BUT…
I have ordered a sweet surprise for my boyfriend on Valentine’s day.
You can imagine how nerve wrecking it is to call up a shop, and blindly send a gift. I had looked up this place and did some research by reading reviews, review the items on their website and even calling the store to speak to someone about the desserts.
The guy who helped me (I think his name was Joe) was super helpful, patient and nice to me in regards to my order. I asked him for many suggestions and trusted him to make the gift special and presentable.
He did not disappoint and this place pulled through with their scrumptious cupcakes, tarts, the glass jar desserts!
For the jar desserts they have classic flavors like Tiramisu and then special flavors like cherry blossom panna cotta.

I was looking for a cute dessert shop to get some gifts for a friend. The shop itself is cute. The desserts however are extremely small! The tarts are easily finished in two bites. I purchased a few cupcakes and tarts, they are full of flavor but extremely mini that just arent satisfying.

It’s one of the most lovely bakeries in the East village. Decorated in a crisp white with people accents. They do provide counter seating and tables. It’s mainly cupcakes, parfait style jars with desserts, cookies, and individual desserts.
I really appreciated that the cupcakes are smaller than most other cupcakes, since I myself don’t like huge portions, or as well u can buy many and sample different kinds. The cupcake I ordered is called the Nutella cupcake. I originally asked the guy behind the counter what was the difference between that one and the Triple Chocolate Truffle cupcake. He did say they are very similar, but the Triple Chocolate is made with chocolate ganache, and the Nutella has actual nutella in the middle. That sold me! He also did say it’s one of the most popular ones, and I can see why. So creamy and delicious, and the frosting was so light and airy.
Definitely going to come back later to try the dessert jars.

I like their small desserts, it doesn’t overwhelm your stomach or tastebuds– just enough for the sweet tooth. There’s always one guy there who’s really nice and information. He said it’s just him and the owner who works there.
Usually go on Friday nights so it’s not that busy when I go so tonight was my first night there on a Saturday and it was really busy! Either way, they will see me at least once a week there!

Stumbled upon this cute little dessert place after dinner. BF and I are big dessert junkies and oh man look at those prices? Is this real?
Mini cupcakes! Panna Cotta! Dessert jars! This place is a secret fat kid’s dream come true, or a sweet tooth’s little cavity heaven (that’s fine just call the BF, he’s a dentist!)
The treats are all laid out behind a glass counter. Usually my number one question would be the freshness. Desserts that look good, don’t always taste good. BF said the Panna cotta would be a tad sweet for my preference, so we opted for the jars. Mason jars you say? Oh yeah. Mason jars. Never too fancy smancy pants to be eating dessert out of a mason jar. Yes please!
I had my eye set out on the tiramisu or blueberry cheesecake, both $ 5, and oh in good heaven’s mama how can a girl decide??? We went with blueberry, and inhaled it. I love cheesecake! It was creamy, rich, soft and decadent. I loved that it was petite, not overly sweet and and fresh!!! Shocker! Plus it was the perfect portion for sharing after a meal! Or if you are the Joey from Friends type of guy/​gal, hey it’s completely fine you don’t share food, desserts, sandwiches, pizza etc.
No ones going to judge if you have a whole jar… I might as well have done that if I knew it was that good. Sorry honey, can you get your own jar? I’m fat k? Thanks love you.
