Thomas Jefferson Park Dog Run

It’s big, a little muddy, and covered in wood chips. It’s not horrible. My dog seems to like it. However, I do wish there was a separate area for small dogs. There are times when I go there and I’m afraid to bring my dog because there are huge dogs in there already.

One of the worse dog runs in Manhattan.
Things it has going for it:
— Decent size
— Thick layer of wood chips (better than dirt)
Things it has against it:
— No separate large & small dog runs
— No bathrooms for humans near run
— No water
— No poop bags
— Inadequate fencing, gates and entry area
— Limited seating for humans
— Right next to the FDR, so very noisy
This run needs to be bulldozed, moved somewhere else in the park and totally redesigned. This run is a just reflection of the rest of this park. Residents and their dogs in this area deserve better then this.
