Came here with the wife. Hot chocolate was excellent. So was the café latte. Good foam to beverage ratio. It gets a little crowded but that’s okay.

Decent coffee but not that great. This is a vast location offering plenty of seating options which is great if you’re focused on being productive, like writing a paper or contemplating life. Unfortunately there is no WiFi available at this spot which I would totally understand if it were a small, intimate spot conducive to conversation, but it is not. Therefore, why no WiFi? And why the attitude from the barista for asking? Lastly, they use a ticketing system for orders. The barista, taking on the role of a short-order cook. They also have a short order cook. Last time was confusing as my ticket didn’t print(or the barista or whomever misplaced it) and my latte was never made. This ended in immense confusion as I took someone else’s identical drink leaving him to argue with the barista. He was nice about it. The barista? Not so much. Not sure what the big deal was– just make the drink. This coffee shop is cool if you’re right near and need an escape from the cold with some coffee or need to rest your feet with the ample amount of seating they have. Not the best place to get the BEST coffee in the area or work on your laptop.

This is a cozy little hole in the wall with a friendly atmosphere and some grrreat latte artists. As per usual, I got me my grilled cheese & tomato sandwich with fresh squeezed orange juice. My faves.

The iced coffee is meh. They don’t offer free wifi and the baristas are dismissive. Why am I here again?

Just another coffee shop, really. It has coffee. It’s in prime location. There’s lots of seating. That’s about it. I usually really enjoy very basic coffee shops, but the downside to this location is that drinks are kind of pricey for what they are and there’s no Wifi. When I go to coffee shops, I am mainly there to get work done on my computer while drinking coffee. Without Wifi, I can’t really do that. The drinks too are on the pricey side. I can get a basic latte that tastes a lot better at a coffee shop right down the street for a lot cheaper. There’s also always a ton of people at this location. It’s mainly because it’s in NYU territory, so the tables are mainly taken over by students. Each time I try to go in here, there’s no place to sit, so I usually don’t end up staying.

They don’t have Wifi at this location, but that doesn’t bother me since I just used my phone’s hotspot if I needed internet. It gets a little busy, but if you’re good at tuning out background noise, then there’s plenty of seating for you. Conveniently located by the Union Square trains. A little pricey for your average cup of coffee, but yay New York!

I feel bad giving out 1 stars. Or I would. Iced Mocha. Very bitter. I asked for the medium but in a small cup since I didn’t want the extra milk. I was TOLD I was going to order the small and pay for an extra shot. I thought she was helping me out. Save some $$. After I paid I realized it cost me more. Lame. Almond Cheese Danish. Cold and dry. They were out of napkins so I asked the Barista if she had any. With a frustrated look she came out started slamming doors looking for napkins. Refilled the holder than took the dishes laying around and literally threw them into the dirty dish bin. So loudly that conversations stopped and everyone watched. Now whether this was directed at little ‘ol me for wanting to wipe my hands or at the fellow employee who was slacking at their job or at the patrons who didn’t know to put their dishes in the tub… this kind of attitude is unacceptable. And the bathroom? I’m beginning to think there is a short supply of paper goods in New York. No toilet paper. But hey. We found out where the napkins went. On top of the toilet paper holder. Drip and dry ladies. Drip and dry.

Think is SO overrated. This is apparently The Bean’s competition. I see none, to be honest, except for the space of their locations. Their cafes are set up MUCH nicer, but the products do not match up. Their chai lattes are horrible and way too sweet, and the grilled cheese is shameful. It took 15+ minutes even though I was the only one in the café, and I waited impatiently yet the more I waited the more excited I was to try this infamous sandwich! And it sucked. dry, flavorless, and burnt. I also didn’t like their brownie.

I do think think I should be waiting for Soy Latter for 15 minutes or am I wrong? What if this was not 4pm on a Saturday afternoon but a Monday morning? There would have been corpses. They just made me an iced one first. Well only because its relatively warm outside, please do not assume everyone wants their latte iced. Coffee was fine. I normally go to their location on 6th avenue and I think I will continue to do that :)
