My absolute favorite thing to get in the mornings before I head into work is a milk latte and cappuccino with a fresh powdered almond croissant. Holy moly, I will be obese soon because of this but it’s that worth it. so tasty. They have a solid selection of bakery items too, so you should be able to find what you like. Their iced coffees are a great refresher too on some of these hot days. I almost forgot, whatever you get in the morning, try their waffle treat with it! Never go out of business everyman expresso.

Very good lattes. So good that I barely flinched at laying down $ 5 for one. Barely. They’ve got a nicely cultivated pastry case that includes doughnuts from Underwest; alas, I was on my way to brunch so I wasn’t in the market for one. First world problems

Another something-man! I have been to mad man, laughing man, and this time, Everyman! This damn-fine(as they called themselves, fair enough) coffee shop is unlike many of its neighbors in this area, that it offers a large space to really sit down and sip their espresso, one thing I’m longing for after a morning run from the west coast. At the same time, similar to everyone else, Everyman does provide a cool setup inside the coffee shop and a well-executed shot of cappuccino! Well done! Those donut lovers, good news! They carry the signature donuts from the renown car wash place Underwest, so no need to travel all the way. Their huge croissant also looks so attractive, have to give a try on my next visit. Everyman espresso, think every woman also enjoys it!

A really lovely coffee shop that’s also a theatre. I ordered a cortado and it was delicious, the space is lovely and the staff seemed nice too. I came on Thursday at 1:30pm and there were no lines and it was not crowded, I’ll have to try coming here at a different time and also try some of their pastries!

Fantastic coffee spot in the East Village! My barista was super friendly and recommended the latte. It was the perfect latte for my Saturday afternoon! Perfect mix of milk and espresso and the right amount of sugar. Will definitely return!

Delicious coffee. I just despise it when a coffee shop controls the milk and cream rations for you, which they do.

Excellent iced coffee. Great robust rich flavor and they have simple syrup to sweeten it. yay! They make a mean cappuccino too. Really like this coffee house. Cool tunes too(Velvet Underground, Iggy Pop. playing last time I dropped by).

I asked if they had cold brew and the jerk behind the counter told me they didn’t serve«old» coffee. That’s just a deranged point of view. I said it wasn’t old, it was cold extraction which results in less bitterness. El Jerko said some people like bitterness. Evidently! I guess that’s his prevailing world view, because I’ve been here a few times(after eating at the awesome Han Dynasty around the corner) and it’s never been a sweet experience. The iced coffee was bitter and horrid. The drip and the americanos I’ve had are also crap. The staff isn’t particularly friendly. Steer clear.

I stopped by here for a cappuccino since I need my daily intake of caffeine. To me this place worth and deserves the five stars because of the coffee and in my case it was a cappuccino. Yes they use counter culture beans, which we all know it’s super awesome. I use in my home everyday. However, they make such a perfect cup of cappuccino. If you were having a bad day that morning and you drink the cap. You will feel the assurance that everything is gonna be okay! Maybe i’m too much and over compensating, but it’s the truth. Awesome job whoever you are who made by cappuccino! I will be back soon!

Super friendly service but unfortunately, didn’t love the cortado. It had a real sour taste that left a dry feeling in my mouth that I didn’t like. The coffee is more bitter and sour here than most other coffee shops. But they use local milk, which is a plus!

Had one drink from this coffee shop, their cortado. And I have to say that I am impressed. I like how you can still grasp the unique flavor of the milk and how it blends well in with the espresso. It’s great! A bit pricey and their cup was small but the flavor was really something else! It was perfect too for New York’s rainy day! The place was big and spacious so you can sit around and talk or work on things!

Everyman has a right to drink coffee. Well, what about women? JK. This place runs my males for sure, the staffs I saw that day were all males who are really good at making latte art. Location: Everyman Espresso is close to NYU resident hall and Parsons and of course, Union square. So it is always crowded and crowded. Normally, I got no place to sit when I was there but today I was lucky enough to grab a seat and sat for almost 30 mins before the crowded came in. If you want to study here, forget about it. It’s really loud and crowded. If you want to hangout with friends, this is your place. The small table shortens your distance with your old friends or potential lovers. There is also a theater inside this coffee shop. So if you see people are in line, some reasons are that they ‘re waiting to get to see a show instead of getting a coffee. Coffee: I had flat white. And surprisingly, it was good. In addition, their latte arts are amazingly elegant. The only complain is that it is so crowded. UGH, I barely want to spend a minute if this place is packed!

Everyman is a tiny coffee shop with good coffee, but the location makes it painful to enjoy. The space is shared with a theater and though we were unlucky to go in right as the show was lining up, it really hurt the experience. The ticket line overlaps with the counter, so you’re constantly jostled and in the way of them and vice versa. Service was ok but a little pandering. There were also no seats to be found because of theater patrons waiting to enter and loud conversations echoed through the space. The coffee was good, but neither the coffee nor the espresso were exceptional, only about in line with Stumptown.

Great place to go for a good cup o’joe.(yea…meant to do that). Very spacious, laid back atmosphere. Nobody will rush you out… you can chill, do work, meet a friend or just sip your coffee and stare into space. The décor is bare bones; concrete floor and there are only a few tables(but there’s plenty of space for more). The guys behind the counter were super friendly and cool. The treats looked really good, too… there were a few fancy looking donuts and other pastries that I’m sure I would have enjoyed… maybe next time.

Came here since I was in the area and was in the mood for a coffee break. Delicious latte; almond croissant albeit very large, I thought was too dry. They had a decent selection of other treats such as doughnuts from Doughnut Plant which I thought was neat. Great place to set up shop and work for a few hours, if you’re lucky enough to find a table. The space is pretty large with about 6 or 7 small tables in the middle and then bench seating on the side. I’m guessing since its near NYU the tables fill up fast since it seems like a popular study spot. Friendly staff and service; I couldn’t finish the almond croissant so I asked for a to-go bag and the man in front was nice enough to put it in a bag for me himself.

meh, i’ve definitely experienced better. came here on a weekday afternoon, looking to chill and just enjoy some me time. i got an iced coffee and almond croissant, the lady taking my order was grumpy and had a stank face. not sure why, because i was polite and maybe she was just having a bad day or something. anyway, i got my order and found seating near the window facing out. the iced coffee was bleh, i asked for milk and sugar, it had a tiny sprinkling of both. the coffee was very sour and had very little aroma. i was afraid to go ask for more milk because the barista was so grumpy. lol. on the other hand, the almond croissant was excellent! it was buttery with a nice almond filling, not-too-sweet and oh-so-satisfying. :-) afterwards, when i was done with my plate and asked where to return it, the grumpy lady looked like she just couldn’t be bothered and pointed to a bin outside. well geez. another bad thing about the place is the bathrooms, they’re TINY! my knees were literally up against the door when i was using it. so uncomfortable! overall, everyman was just overhyped, there are so many other good cafes in the area and i doubt i will be in a hurry to return.

Learnt to be a coffee snob during good ol’ Italy, I am always on an endless journey for better cappuccinos and lattes outside of European countries. I found Everyman Espresso during a metro stop when I was in dire need for a pick me up during the colder season of NYC Spring. As Everyman Espresso is one of the larger coffee shops I found, it is located just around the corner of E 13th Street of East Village. Little did I know the abundance of coffee corners that East Village treasured. I had the pleasure to taste quite a few of their coffee variations, including a standard cappuccino, milk latte, and a house brew coffee. The cappuccino is well frothy, and was not too hot; perfectly balanced between espresso and hot milk. The barista made all my cappuccinos outstanding. The milk latte comes in a much larger cup, topped with a beautiful milk art to top. Although not as hot as I prefer it, be sure that this is something you can finish, and worthy for someone who is not lactose and tolerate. House blend is hot, but be advised that they will add the amount of milk for you, rather than you adding it yourself. They have a small array of good viennoiserie on display, and even doughnuts from Doughnut Plant, however, my personal favourite is the almond croissant. If it was possible, I would have ordered more than one during each visit!

Everyman Espresso NY Manhattan East Village 1:30 pm Friday 22nd May 2015 Three Stars I was not that impressed by this coffee shop. The staff was friendly, alternative looking, and very efficient. There were four small tables with comfortable faux red leather covered chairs. There is a four seater out facing window. Lastly there is plenty of bench space along the left hand side wall. It also houses the classic stage company box office. I ordered an ice coffee and they added the cream for me. The cost was $ 3.75. The cup was generic clear plastic. The ice was regular. The coffee was nothing special. A bit bitter. Medium high acidity. Chocolate and roasted nuts were the dominant flavors. When it gets cold again. I will try their espresso.
