I came this past weekend for the Thrillist pop up event holiday hideaway the event was Saturday & Sunday from 12 – 6. By the time we arrived once on line we were told that the event was at full capacity & the wait time could be 5 minutes to 45 minutes to get in, not necessarily their fault since we did arrive later in the day but oh well we decide to wait it out & made it inside in about 30 minutes or so. Decent size for a pop up event not much left as far as the food goes there were giving out candy, chocolates & cake shooters the Red velvet shooter was delicious. Also tried the Chocolate one not bad as well. Each person gets two drink tickets which is ahh ok … Of course u want more but the purpose of the event is to check it out hang a little & move on not stay there all day which seemed to be the case here since people were just hanging around inside & the reason my guess why they were at capacity. As for the place itself decent size, interesting set up they had a few stations up for drinks. Drinks we had some Modelo beer since the line for the Jameson was insane! Over all if u had nothing to do it was a something to do kill a little bit of time but after u have your two drinks doesn’t seem like much of a point to hang out since they did have 3 liquor stations am sure you could pay for liquor if u choose to we did not since we just wanted to check out the event & move along. It was good for the time we were there.

Came here for a Night Market Event a friend was hosting. Space can be tight depending on the amount of people packed in. The location is smacked in between Chinatown/Lower East Side/Soho. This place used to be a lighting store like all the other stores on Bowery Street. Space in the Front for tables and exhibitions, and a kitchen in the back for pop up food events. Place is good to rent if you are planning to exhibit some cool art or trying a open a restaurant but want to test out some things before your own grand opening.

LOVE this venue! Especially all the natural light that comes through.

The Old Bowery Station is sooooooo unexpected, in a good way. The team at Openhouse Gallery has done it again. They were able to transform a old dingy lighting store into a intimate hidden gem. I attend a few events in past month and then I decided to do my own pop up dinner. The owners were so accommodating and helpful throughout the whole process. They’re just trying to curate food, creativity and value. It was like check, check, check. There is no other space like it in NYC, half event space half commercial kitchen. I can’t wait to work with these guys again!
