I’m surprised by the 2 star average review here. I hosted my bday celebration at Soirée a few years back and had a wonderful experience. It was a Saturday night in October and my guests who arrived before 1am didn’t wait on line because we had set up a Guestlist. My VIP area was huge and fit all of my guests(60+), the bottle prices were reasonable and the music was great. However, anyone who arrived after 1am did not get in because of capacity issues. Other than that, everything went well.

I went to a private event at Soirée that was earlier on the evening(7−10pm), so I can’t comment on any of their parties. The event was great, they had great performances, and a solid DJ but the staff was another story. The bouncers are super strict about Ids, so even if you are way over 21 if you don’t have an ID you cannot enter(even if it’s for a private event!!). The security gave us such a hassle for IDs, it was really ridiculous. It’s a really nice space, they have ton’s of space for bands, djs, private VIP rooms, etc. I really liked the stage set up, they had a lot of space for guests and room for people to mingle. However, there was supposed to be drink specials that night, but the bartender didn’t offer any of these drink specials. Guests had to pay a $ 60 card minimum if they didn’t have cash on hand(which most people don’t). All the drinks were $ 10-$ 12 when they were supposed to be $ 6-$ 8 specials. They had only one bartender for 70 guests, and the bartender was so slow getting the drink orders. Although, I had a good time at the event, the staff at Soirée were rude and not helpful at all. I wouldn’t recommend going back.

Celebrated my 30th birthday there also a friend’s birthday. Was disappointed both times. This place draws a huge crowd due to it’s reputation under former management. With the current people they have now, they place has gone to shit. They’re understaffed and overcorwded. The promoters promised me one thing and I got another. I had a group of 17 people with reservations and still had to wait online behind people who were just thinking about doing bottle service. 2nd time I went there, they ran out of Moet Nectar Rose. WHATKINDOFNYCNIGHTCLUBRUNSOUTOFMOET!!! needless to say I won’t be going back there again…

The crowd is super ghetto. Probably similar to going to a club in the Bronx. Save your time and money on this one

The new BLVD. Music is alright, decent mix, crowd is horrible — got nothing but groped all night, but the place is big so enough enough space to wander around drunk.

Dear DJ, Thank you. Dating is hard enough as it is. On this«upscale friday» you were there to help me filter out all the HIV negative, college educated men. Reggae dance mix and an open bar that apparently only a few were aware of all made for a good time.

DISCLAIMER– THISREVIEWISBIASED. Basically we waited on line for about 15 – 20 mins in the freezing cold only to be told by the guy standing on the line that there was bottle service. A $ 600 minimum! I never actually went inside the place and dont plan on ever going back to this place.

I went to Soirée when it was called BLVD about three yrs ago & the places hasn’t changed at all TRASHY! The place would be so much better if they were selective with the people they let in. Everyone gets in regardless of what they are wearing. Sneakers, hats, timberland boots, do rags & the list goes on. Cover charge $ 20. Coat check $ 4& they charge an extra $ 2 if you have a sweater(like seriously!!! its below freezing outside). There is an upstairs(hip-hop & r&b) & downstairs(latin room). The DJs are horrible both upstairs & downstairs. They repeated the same songs like THREE times!!! The only reason I give it 2 stars is because the bouncers & bartenders were extremely nice. ANDTHEPLACE looks nothing like the pictures attached besides the BARPICTURE.

Ok so this review might be skewed… ok very skewed… based on the fact that I HATE clubs with a passion! Anywho, along with my review(hey, that rhymed!). My friend and I found this pretty quickly and it is an easy find. We came here for a mutual friend’s birthday party and we weren’t expecting much from a club in the lower east side. We get there, tell the bouncer what even we were there for, he tells us to wait in line(ugh really? A line? I never have to wait on those for bars!) but ok, fine, whatever. We get on line and it was pretty long and it was a pretty cold night. Thankfully we were in in 5 minutes. We then find out there’s a MANDATORY coat check in which you have to pay $ 4. Ok, $ 4 may not seem like a lot to you guys, but as a poor college kid with a part-time job expecting to spend whatever money is in her pocket on cheap drinks, then yea it’s a lot. We get in there, find our party and get started. We get to the bar and order 2 vodka crans and 1 gin and tonic… ummmmm, excuse me bartender? How much? $ 30? You’re effing kidding right now! Come on! People, why do clubs make people pay so much for a drink? Why must we pay to enjoy ourselves after a long week? And to top that off, the music they were playing SUCKED! In the beginning, the crowd was mainly foreigners and nerdy people who, props to them, were the first to start the dance craze. Then people started piling in, the crowd became a mix of older guys(late 30s maybe?) who dipped their heads in gel and took a shower in cologne and younger women who like to dress like skanks(sorry, but they were dressed like that). Thank god a family member walked in and I had a great excuse to take my other 2 friends and get the hell out of there! Or else I would have stayed sitting on the couch until the party was over. Again, I HATEHATEHATE clubs! On a high note, 2 stars for the friendly bartenders and open space, there’s nothing I hate more(besides clubs themselves) are small dancing spaces that force you go get squished in the crowd, bleh!

I came to this place for the Ninja Tunes XX Anniversary party. The party was supposed to be at Santos Party House, but the place closed down two hours before the show, and sadly we were redirected to BLVD/Soirée. This place has nothing going for it: no particular décor, no style, no cool vibe. Absolutely nothing. Terrible place for a live performance. The place was clearly undersized for the crowd. As the club filled, you were pushed further and further away, and it was uncomfortable just to stand. It was one of those occasions when I thought«If there is a fire, or if somebody panics, we’re all going to die». And get this: a bottle of beer is $ 10. I repeat: $ 10 for a bottle of beer. At the bar! Why am I paying big bucks for a crappy bottle of beer is beyond me: the nonexistent service? The mediocre sound system? The lack of style? You tell me. This is one of those places that give NYC nightlife a bad name. The second star is entirely for the Ninja Tunes and MeanRed Production crews, who somewhat, somehow still managed to make it happen. Highs: No line, courteous bouncers, no entrance fee on guestlist, no groping in the security line if you’re a chick in a tight dress, free open bar(on select nights?) until 12a, and the bartendress was definitely not stingy in quantity of drinks and liquor within them. $ 14 for 2 bottles of water. Bars that only sell bottles are water(especially any higher than $ 3/bottle) are crap in my book. It’s freaking water, people! Lows: Empty, empty, empty. I felt like I was in a high school prom. My girls and I were the only ones dancing for awhile, with everyone else just on the outskirts doing a 2-step. A few good looking guys in here — albeit they were all short — but no one seemed to want to have a good time. Overall: Decent place, not hard to get into, worth going if you can get in free with free open bar. It’s definitely not a mix of people in here — get ready to hip-hop and dutty wine the night away.

Club Soirée, boasting a very familiar address(Crash Mansion anyone?) used to be known as BLVD, I think. I came through here last Friday night and had a grand old time! If you’ve been to BLVD, which I have, You’ll know the space well. It’s like a giant lounge. This place is REALLY big, lots of seats and a huge bar as well. The DJ that night was playing great tunes, a great mix or rap/hip-hop and reggae. Me and my boys from my dancecrew(FireCry) took over the dancefloor, battling anyone who came in our path! I’m not sure about how much it costs, but I’m to think there is some sort of cover charge if you’re not on the guest list. I was there for a friend’s birthday, and upon entering and mentioning the list I was on, it was easy peezy to get in. No hastle. They do check you at the door(frisk you, as they say) which is kind of a new thing for me in a Manhattan place, but that doesn’t matter, it’s good to know everyone inside is in there unarmed right?! This place is cool, and I would recommend it as a great place to party in LES and dance the night away. Seriously too, because when I left there I was sweating and my feet and legs were achy, and it wasn’t hot in there, I was just dancing up a storm!
