Great hockey bar, beer selection was ok, food was decent. I came here from CA and caught a Stanley Cup game, the vibe was great, good crowd. I would definitely recommend this place to any hockey fan. And Leo was an excellent bartender. Great drinks, good conversation, he made a CA hockey fan feel right at home. Cheers!

As a Ranger fan, I was always instructed to visit the flying puck. Even though the atmosphere during the game is electric, second to MSG of course, prices for your standard drafts were a little steep for what we were getting. However, the wings… holy crap… this is a must have!!!

Great spot to watch the Stanley Cup. Food is good, staff is excellent and attentive. We liked that they turned the volume up on the hockey game instead of playing music. Definitely coming back.

I’m a HUGE Ranger fan. The 82 game watching custom license plate house flag flying type of fan. So of course, I knew about the Flying Puck. This was my second visit and this time for a 4pm game. We were seated quickly since we arrived right at game start. But come any later and there will be no tables, standing room only. Just an FYI. The menu is typical of sports bars, nachos, pizza, wings, etc. And so far, everything we’ve tried has been good. The service is excellent! There is always someone wandering past checking your table to refill drinks and other needs. So we were properly attended to for the duration of the whole game. Of course, you must order food to sit down. One cool thing about this bar is the décor. Look above and check out the Lundqvist stained glass ceiling. A nice testament to the King himself. Another fun thing is what happens when a goal is scored. The bar plays the Goal song and everyone chants along just as if they were across the street at the Garden. That makes it really fun if you can’t make it inside. My only criticism would be that the TV’s are only on one side of the restaurant. So if you’re sitting at a table with your back to the bar, you can’t watch the game. Wish they could place TV’s in other spots to make it easier for those folks watching since they do comprise 50% of the seated guests. Otherwise, Game ON Flying Puck!

So I’m a HUGE Rangers fan who lives in Phoenix and was in NYC for a much needed break from my stressful work life. I went here to watch the Rangers take on the Dallas Stars and I had a total blast! A Rangers bar is something we don’t have in Phoenix and it was awesome to see they have a huge lit Rangers logo behind the bar and their ceiling is decorated with Rangers stuff, however it says Flying Puck on it instead of Rangers. It was SONICE watching the Rangers defeat the Stars with fellow fans. In Phoenix, I’m usually the only one cheering, which gets old. When the Rangers score they play the after goal song throughout the bar, which was really cool! Once the Blue Jackets game ended, all 10 TVs had the Rangers game on. The only con to this place is that the beers are a little pricey and there’s not too much seating as it’s a rather small bar. I had to stand the entire time, which was fine… but got to be a little uncomfortable. Next time I’m in NYC, however, this is my go to spot for Rangers games!

I came for a casual lunch with a client on a Wednesday. We were the only people besides a guy at the bar. The waitress was rude and dismissive. I ordered the salmon entrée($ 18). We had to ask the waitress for our food multiple times, once at 30 minutes then at 45 minutes, and an hour later we got our food. The presentation and flavor were terrible. My «salmon» was not salmon. It was a white fish fillet doused in tomato sauce with half of the plate covered in rice and a few carrots. I had to sprinkle pepper into every bite of the fish to reduce the overwhelming tomato flavor. I didn’t try the rice. We were in a crunch to get back to a meeting, so I didn’t bother complaining. The overall consensus was that the food was not worth the price. We didn’t try any of their drinks, but I do not recommend this place for food.

I have walked by here 100’s of time and have been curious since it’s hockey themed. Some friends and I came by on a dead Tuesday night for some drinks. The waitress who initially came by was clueless, but sweet. She had no idea about drinks or prices. Perhaps she was new? I asked if there was a card minimum. She said no. I got one of their $ 4 drink specials which was weak. A different woman took over after the first drink. When we attempted to pay the bill, the woman was nowhere to be found for quite some time. I tried going to the bar to pay and only then she appeared. When I tried to pay for my one drink, she said there was a $ 10 minimum. I explained the other woman told me there wasn’t one. She wouldn’t hear it and was clearly going to argue. I had to pay part of my friend’s bill. When she came to drop the receipts off she said nothing. Rude. I have never stiffed a waitress in my life until this experience. We didn’t even receive the bare minimum here. Expensive, weak ass drinks, and rude service. I’ll settle for rude service for excellent food and drinks and awesome service for mediocre food but this was a joke. No. Just… no…

I came here on a trip to NYC. We were wandering back to our hotel and decided to have one more drink so we stopped in to The Flying Puck. We grabbed a seat easily, the service was quick, and the drinks were good… pretty much all a bar needs.

Decided to eat here on New Year’s Eve last week because my boyfriend and I were sick of walking around looking for a place to go and we were in the old-school mood of wanting to walk and find a place to eat versus heading to the interwebs. So… we stopped here. It was not the best choice. The place was nearly empty(probably 2 tables full of people and a few at the bar) and of course our soon-to-be server seats us at a table literally right next to another table of people. I’m sorry, but I HATE when hostesses/servers do this. You have nearly 8 other empty tables. Why seat me next to some of the only other customers in the restaurant? Me being me, I picked another table in the corner so we could have some privacy and air for conversation. The server/hostess was not the happiest, but personally, I didn’t care. She took our drink orders(we had 2 mimosas) and gave us food menus. We glanced over them for some time and I almost wanted to leave(didn’t see anything too appealing on the menu), but my boyfriend really wanted a Reuben. We stayed. After signaling the waitress, she finally took our food orders. Water was never refilled without my prodding. I think the waitress was from a foreign country, but that shouldn’t matter. If you’re job is serving customers, you should be doing just that– ESPECIALLY when there’s only 3 tables full of customers and 3 servers. Food was OK. I had the blackened salmon sandwich for $ 17 big ones. The actual salmon was tasty(tried a bite without all the other fixings), but the rest was just«blah.» Nothing special, bland flavors… Fries were fine. My favorite thing of the meal was the mimosa. We each had two(woooo for $ 10 mimosas in NYC!). We were finally given our check after I asked. And more water. After I asked. The waitress was literally clueless and had no idea how to do her job. My favorite thing, though, was when she came and grabbed the signed check with tip amount while we were still at the table… I’ve waited tables before and that’s a number one no-no. Reason for 2 stars? Great location and it would probably be a fun place to watch a hockey game. I would not go here for the overpriced crappy food(the Reuben was good though, not gonna lie!). The service was close to horrible.

Came here last night before going to see a show at MSG. Place was pretty big with comfortable seating and a lot of TVs. Everything was clean too, which is always a plus. Our first waitress sucked– but then she went MIA and we got a new one, who was way better. The busser was really nice too. Anyway, the spinach artichoke dip was amazing– a lot of big chunks of artichokes, YUM! My bf and I both ordered burgers, which were cooked the way we asked for and came out quickly. Our bill came to $ 74– which wasn’t bad at all being that it included 3 kettle one and sodas, an appetizer and 2 burgers. I would definitely come back next time I’m in the area.

Came here last night after the ranger game. Really cool place to hang out. It is Right near Madison square garden. A lot of ranger fans were in there as well. I didn’t have the food but had s couple drinks and the bartenders are attentive and friendly. It’s all ranger based and has an old historic feel to it inside with wood and stained glass. Stained glass of a Ranger, how cool? This may be our new go to place before and after games.

We were looking for a bar to just grab a drink and stopped in here during a Rangers game. Oops — our mistake. Anyway, the service was okay(earning a one star bump), but why it gets left at that is the volume level. I’m not saying this was a loud bar; it was literally the LOUDEST bar I have ever been into, ever, anywhere, at any time. And I don’t mean the Rangers fans. If the noise had been from them, I wouldn’t really have cared. It’s your favorite team! Cheer as loud as you want to. What I’m referring to is the volume of the TVs. The volume in the place was so freakin’ loud that it literally hurt my ears. And not in an old-man-get-off-my-lawn-your-music-is-too-loud-you-crazy-kids kind of way: it was deafening. We almost left immediately upon entering, but figured we’d be able to tough it out for a drink or two. However, what happened was this: we were sitting at a high-top table and I could not hear the person sitting directly across from me(maybe two feet away) unless she leaned over and shouted. And there was no way I could hear the person kitty-corner from me at the other end of the table without leaning way over and shouting. We thought that things were going to get better when the game ended because they switched over to music. But that was just as loud. This might seem like a dumb thing to complain about, but the manager of this place needs to know how loud is too loud. If there’s 100 fans packed in this place and the ambient noise level is high, sure — pump up the volume so everyone can hear the game over the noise of the drunk dude next to them. But it was the end of the third period and the Rangers were up by four goals, so the place wasn’t exactly packed. Plus, once the bar emptied out after the game, you gotta turn the volume down at some point, even just a little, to keep your customers comfortable. I honestly feel really bad for the people who have to work there; if the sound is that loud all the time, their hearing is going to be shot after a few months.

I decided to try this spot which is across from the hotel I am staying at. I love the décor. The wood rules, plus look at the floors. Clean place. Good music. Sports on tvs. I sat myself. The server came promptly and took drink order. Lots of conversation between her and other female worker talking about work issues with other coworkers. Took 6 mins to bring a Coke and an ice tea. Placed order with no issues. I ordered the blackened salmon burger w/fries and my other half ordered the margarita pizza. Both were delish. Great taste & nice size for $$. Server was nice but stayed talking to co-worker instead of giving replacement napkins, another round of refreshments. I would hope that doesn’t happen often. I had to signal to her for check. I would have given 5 stars. Otherwise the food was good.

The service here is horrible. I am not happy with the waitresses. I just came here to watch the rangers game and did not have a pleasant experience. The place was way top crowded and I could barely see the TV. It also took forever to get my drinks and food. I will NOT becoming back here again.

The atmosphere is cool if you’re a Rangers fan and looking for somewhere to watch the game. The food was pretty good too(for bar food) the jalapeños were spicy !!(Yum) So you’re probably wondering why I gave this business one star? THESERVICEWASHORRIBLE. I was there just last night to watch the season opener(kings vs sharks but we got there early to watch the ranger game as well) naturally the bar was pretty busy– filled with rangers fans of course. After the game ended the bar cleared out quite a bit and my friend and I took a seat at the bar. When he got up to use the restroom one of the waitresses(some Russian cunt) came up and took his chair. I said«excuse me, he was sitting there» The lady responded with«sorry he can’t sit in this seat» & moved his chair to an empty table. There were plenty of empty chairs at the tables but not at the bar. What a fucking bitch she was. So I got right back up and grabbed the damn chair he had been sitting in and moved it back. I was so aggravated. We went about our night blowing off the waitress and continuing to watch the Kings be a complete disappointment against the Sharks… By the end of the night I asked the bartender(Leo) for our checks. Instead of asking if we wanted everything together or separate(we each had our own tab at the bar) he ran EVERYTHINGONMYCARD. Causing the bank to put a hold on my card.(I did a lot of shopping earlier that day). Leo was pretty cool previously to this event but obviously this upset me. So I asked him if he could at least give us a shot or a discount or something for his mistake ? His response? «NOHISBOSSISTHERE» So his boss would prefer to have an angry unsatisfied customer than someone who is willing to give the place another chance? NEVERAGAIN. & to the Russian bitch… My middle fingers up to you.

THE place to go to watch New York Rangers games. It’s always packed for Rangers home games and they have the sound on. However, during the playoffs, it’s gotten packed early(1.5 hrs before the game). So if you want a seat, get there early because it’ll be standing room only once the game starts. Food is your typical bar food and they have specials during happy hour once in a while. It’s located right next to MSG so it’s convenient pre or post game.
