Tiny little place with a six seat bar. Really bye testing mostly vintage clothing all in excellent condition. New stuff too. They have a lot of stuff in two floors and the staff is really nice. Just a fun experience to shop with a cocktail in hand.

Very unique and cute concept of bar/​boutique store. Went here for the first time today and will never go back. Employee/​bartender was constantly drinking orange juice and Malibu while working and taking shots with drunk customers. Then the bartender got drunk and went to restroom and asked one of the drunk customer to cover the bar. Then the drunk customer starts pouring tequila shots behind the bar «while she was watching out» which was quite funny to watch but yet so wrong. I feel bad for the owner. Hoping the owner knows what’s going on when she or he’s not there.

I used to live on the Lower East Side and frequented the Dressing Room in its heyday (around 2008). After a recent visit here, I can testify that it’s still staffed by uncaring, humor-​impaired twits who can’t pour a palatable gin & tonic.
Drinking here always makes me frustrated and angry, although I love browsing their locally-​designed clothing with a cocktail in my hand. Clothes shopping while drunk is immeasurably more pleasurable than picking through racks in the cold light of day.
Next time you’re in the area, skip this joke of a bar and have some curated schnapps at Café Katya next door. You will regret coming here.

I think this place has a great idea and I hope it figures out how to make it an incredibly successful business. Right now, I have a hard time seeing that happen.
Went in there on a Saturday afternoon to do some shopping and have some booze while I shopped. The «bartender» could not have cared less that I was there to actually shop AND drink. She was was blathering on with some other customers about how ridiculous her night was the night before and how crazy she is and all this this, at the top of her lungs, as if it was the coolest story in the history of stories. it wasnt even close. After hearing her regale the glazed over patrons, sitting in front of her for the final time, I left without purchasing the $ 30 t-​shirt I really wanted. Their loss. I truly hope they figure out how to temper the talent in this place because, as I said, the concept is A+.

super cool but friendly place! I was thrilled the first time I walked through the doors and found fashion designs, vintage finds, and a boozy bar. Feels like being in a smaller, cool city like Milwaukee, Baltimore, or Philly, with friendly people, away from the numbers, and away from the NYC attitude.

I don’t have anything to say about the bar here. I haven’t been. But this is New York, and if you can’t even abide by your own posted hours, you get one star.
Had two huge bags of clothing the ex left behind when she moved out. Thought I’d bring them here and maybe get a few bucks on a bar tab. Loaded it all into my granny shopping cart and hauled them all the way here.
Posted hours for Saturday: 1 p.m. to 2 a.m. The recording said the same when I called. I waited from 1 to 1:25 and then lugged the stuff to the Bowery Mission.
Maybe they were just running late today. Who knows. Sorry, though, I’m a New Yorker, and I don’t have time for your hippie hours. I have to go rush home in case the Time Warner guy decides to come within his window for once.

Le combo bière + shot de whiskey à 5 $ (aka «The waiting girlfriend») passé plutôt pas mal. Ils servent aussi du vin et des cocktails mais pas de bière pression.
La musique est plutôt cool, le service sympa.
La particularité de ce bar réside en outré dans le fait qu’il sert de magasin de vêtement la journée!

Cool concept– vintage clothing and local indie designers plus a full bar and DJ! I went here on a Saturday night with a couple friends, it has a chill vibe and it wasn’t crowded. The stairs going downstairs to the vintage shopping are steep, so be careful if you are a bit tipsy! Friendly bartender, good drinks, I’ll go back when I’m in the neighborhood.

Part clothing store, part bar, The Dressing Room isn’t «dressed to impress.» Clothing store aside, the bar serves dive-​like drinks, with less-​than-​stellar service.

This is not the kind of place I’d hit on my own: it’s pretty girly, even though they do have a small selection of clothing for dudes. But out with my wife and niece during a thunderstorm the Dressing Room proved a perfect place to pass the time. And surprise: it’s a good bar! Reasonable prices, nice people, generous pours. They know the place isn’t targeting guys; one of the drink specials is called «the Waiting Boyfriend». But the place is lovely in its own right, and if a dude gets stuck here he’s not going to suffer one bit.
I’m impressed.

So I was only in this place for maybe 40 minutes but I keep thinking about it. What an awesome place. It’s a funky vintage shop AND a bar. What a cool idea. I bet it’s a fun place to work at.
I had a champagne (ok ok, I had a miller high life) and hung out in the back near a big projection screen of who knows what. I didn’t look too much at the stuff they were selling but it all looked pretty cool.
It sort of had a feel like I was at someone’s private party. Very nice. Good for a pre-​dinner drink but maybe not for a whole night.

I’m personally hoping that it trends. The Dressing Room: an unmemorable bar — small, not particularly cheap ($ 7 – 8 wine; $ 5 – 6 beer) or good — is worth a second, third and fourth visit, if only because lowered inhibition, plus access to curated pre-​owned clothes, shoes and purses, hints at the essence of True Freedom.

Sellers beware, if you try to consign items here they will steal it! I brought in two bags of clothes, shoes, etc on a Sunday. They called me back on Monday to pick it up. They only bought a scarf from me for a measly 3 dollars but when I double checked my stuff. My vintage cowboy boots were missing. I asked them about it and of course they said they «never saw it. «Uh huh suuuuuure. I was really disappointed in this shop, I mean I heard of Beacon’s stealing from sellers but now The Dressing Room too? What happened to humanity?
