I ordered green tea with reduced ice and this is what I got… then I checked the Unilocal review… no wonder. The drinks are also over priced. If I knew this I should have gone to Starbucks. I guess the pro is there are plenty of space to sit.

We paid for 3 drinks. 2 came. Waited for 15 mins for the 3rd after we told them. They didn’t believe is but we didn’t get a receipt. Young girl making drinks is not very friendly.

Coffee is fine. I really wanted a soy green tea latte. Everywhere else in the world this means green tea or matcha green tea with steamed milk or soy. Here it is a hot chocolate with green tea. I am allergic to milk, so can’t drink a hot chocolate. Explained what a green tea latte was. They poured hot water over some tea and added steamed soy. No tea bag. It was a hot water latte. Disgusting. Two tries and I threw it out at the next corner.

Had a nice time with a refreshing iced tea while I charged my phone and finished some work. Everyone 9was nice and the bathroom painting of a massive cup of coffee was cool. Not a whole lot of outlets though sadly.

This coffee shop is not an ideal place to get work done. The staff are obnoxiously loud and laughing constantly. This is a busy traffic area so people are constantly coming in and out. My earphone volume is almost at maximum volume. this should not be the case.

The worst service I’ve ever had in my life. I work across the street and come here occasionally. The staff is usually uninterested and short. Today I walked in and the counter guy was on FaceTime as I walked up, continued talking to the girl on FaceTime until I said«hi» and then continued to ask her to wait as I made my order. Then spoke Spanish to guests to impress the other workers, even though none of the guests were Spanish speaking and he himself spoke fluent English. Decent chain coffee, horrible service.

I’ll never step foot in there again. Waited about 20 minutes for a latte to go. About 10 people that arrived after me were served before me. I asked for my drink 3 times, they tried to give me the wrong drink twice. In the end, my drink was slammed on the counter with an attitude. All because I asked if they could make the drink that I actually ordered.

the cashier is so friendly. Their wifi is helpless and the place is cold but their vegetarian chili is good(and vegetarian, a plus)

Pequeño, pocas mesas en medio del meetpacking, si estas en pleno invierno como me paso a mi es salvador xq es lo más cercano en cuadras para tomar un café o un buen te. El té es exquisito muy recomendable.

Running to work with no time to spare I was trying to grab a bagel/OJ on the way. First 2 bodegas I passed had long lines, skip. Then I came across The Coffee Bean. Scarily 1 person long line at 8:50am… I figured it was just because it looks more pricey and went for it. If I wanted to put my own cream cheese on a stale bagel(toasted without asking to mask the staleness) for $ 2.50 I could have gone to any Dunkin Doughnuts in the middle of mumble-F USA. This is New York, we don’t accept this type of bagel mediocrity. I couldn’t even find any orange juice in the fridge and settled for apple! Next time I’ll make sure I leave 5 minutes earlier so I can stand in line at a deli like a real New Yorker.

So. Coffee bean and Tea Leaf. This is not LA. You are not on every other corner that Starbucks is not on here. They have the monopoly and if you wish to compete then you need to SERIOUSLY step up the customer service game. I enter to get an English Breakfast latte that I had not had in years. The place is empty. There is NOONE in line. This never happens at your competitor. Then I am not greeted. Whatever. Then I wait for my drink. STILL no one has entered and mine is the only ONE order up. The other girl at the counter asks me if I need anything or need to order. I tell her I am waiting for my. She looks over at the only other employee there and asks if she is making my drink. She says«no». So the only ONE order you guys have up is not being made. THEN, The girl who is making my drink leaves the milk on the steamer and it’s boiling over. I am seeing all of this, then complains about the thing that is making the tea. So I get a yucky, beyond scalding drink that I could not even drink on the way to my appointment like I had planned and was excited about. I did not want to walk into my appointment with a beverage b/c I think that is disrespectful and had to throw it out. So I did not even get a chance to drink it. Thank you for nothing Coffee Bean. Serious FAIL!!!

Great place for sadists. Can someone please ‘splain how a busy coffee shop in the middle of Chelsea, located within walking distance of the infamous Chelsea Market, and boasting very generous square footage, can have just 3 tuchos parking spots? The occupancy was at least 50. I was incredibly lucky to discover an empty chair. Within 2 minutes, I began thoroughly enjoying the intense eye contact of a tall middle-aged patron inquiring – no, begging – that I leave the place at once, and relinquish my chair. He gobbled up several pastries in an upright position over a hilariously low table all the while imploring me to have a heart, as he stared listlessly into my unsympathetic eyes. I fidgeted, stared back, sipped my water, and smiled. My real estate was too valuable, and I was not about to give it up easily. The process would continue unabated with several different homo erectus specimens, bringing back childhood memories of mall parking space rage. Tuchos parking space rage? As I left, several people debated the identity of the caller of dibs. It wasn’t need-based, and it seemed the turn signal was the deciding factor. The mandatory bathroom review in this coffee shop is as follows: complete and unapologetic suck. Cleanliness, or lack thereof, was not the chief demerit. Someone has deemed it humorous to set the thermostat somewhere between«Mississippi summer» and«an active volcano» in this establishment – not a horrible problem, except, inexplicably, this effect was greatly exaggerated around the bathroom. Best sauna experience. Ever.

Cashiers were lovely, my drink wasn’t bad. It was recommended by one of the ladies behind the counter. She asked me to let her know my opinion on it. They have a loyalty system as well so check that out.

Good location but terrible green tea tasted like plain expensive hot water. Coffee is like in donkin donats with sour taste to it, go to starbucks. Black tea is good though :)

WORST. Absolute worst. Ghetto staff, one of them was WHISTLING to the annoying music that they kept playing. Way to loud in here, and just way to many annoyances. So inefficient and all their products are nasty. This is the Salvation Army of coffee shops. I’ll go back to Starbucks coffee across the street now.

This place should not even deserve one star. The customer service here is TERRIBLE– the way the team works is inefficient and unorganized. There were 10 – 15 customers waiting for their orders to be filled. The staff did not even know which drinks they were making and continually made the wrong orders. I myself waited thirty minutes for a drink that was not even made properly and also made in the incorrect size. My friend says his order was the worst chai tea he’s ever had(and he’s been to other Coffee Bean locations and says that they’re great in other places). Also might as well mention that the team was cross contaminating spoons and cups when filling orders– allergies, people? It did not seem very sanitary when I observed them making orders. Avoid this location and hit up another Coffee Bean that actually cares about its customers, or the Starbucks around the block.

This is a nice location and store. It’s clean and bright. On nice days(like today), they have all the doors and windows open. The iced coffee and service is spot on!

Over by the Chelsea Market there aren’t many places you can sit with a laptop and get some work done(that are open to everyone) so I came here because I know the CB&TL brand and figured it would at least be okay for an hour. It was okay for an hour. I wouldn’t seek this place out(which is okay, I don’t seek this area out) and given an option i wouldn’t come here at all. Not enough seats, not enough outlets, prices are high, and the service is often terrible.

Awesome, spacious location. I came in for a quick drink, late at night, so not sure how this location is during a regular day. They’re a little slow with making the drink, but the drink was delicious. No complaints… yet…

Decided to pop in here one weekend upon learning that my friends have never tried this coffee place before! I was look forwarding to have an excuse to come here, especially when I was walking home on my last day of my internship and discovered they officially opened in the Meatpacking District. We ordered two regular vanilla blends and one mocha blend and they were all divine. So pure and delicious. The purple straws are a huge plus — I love me some color or rather sipping on a cold beverage from a colorful straw. The size of the regular was pretty big from what you would expect from a ‘regular’ size! Our orders came fairly quickly and the people behind the counter were neither nice or rude but were focused on strictly doing their job. If you’ve read my other reviews, you know that I like to get to the point of whatever place I’m visiting — depending on the establishment. The space here is fairly large with a lot of space to do some work, read, people watch and enjoy your beverages at your own pace. Aside from coffee, tea and juice they also have flavored water, pastries and macaroons! A plus is that they offer free Wi-Fi as well but left me noticing that it makes a great excuse for people to loiter but hey, if you’re going to loiter then you’re in luck, the staff won’t bother you! A prime location, great service and vanilla blends — I’ll be back whenever I’m in the area again.

This Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf opened up about 4 weeks ago in this location and is a branch of the California based chain that competes with Starbucks and Peet’s Coffee on the west coast. The first time my baby tried it was in San Francisco in 2010 and it was some of the best lattes that a chain can ever offer. I had incredible withdrawal until NYC was smart enough to welcome the Coffee Bean a few years back with its initial Midtown West location and it has now sprung to a handful of locations across the island. I highly recommend the tea lattes, however I am not a huge fan of the frozen drinks. It suffers from the exact opposite of Starbucks. At SBUX you can spew out up to 5 – 10 different adjectives to describe your perfect caffeine jolt whereas there doesn’t appear to be any customization here, the frozen drinks come as is. At least that’s the impression I got from the barista.
