Very friendly people here. When I walked in almost everybody said hi to me. Coffee was made very quick. Their cookie butter latte is good for a cold weather. However, all drinks seem like a bit too sweet for me. I didn’t try their pastry this time, maybe I’ll try it next time.

They gave the greatest coffee. Yes it’s on the burnt side but that what I love about it. Jalapeño bagels are out of this world. I wish I can eat them everyday. My dream literally. And they are kosher which is a plus. Amazing amazing

This was my first experience with this place. The staff was nice and the food too. But I wasn’t able to drink more than two sips of my iced coffee. Really really weird aftertaste! Maybe I was unlucky!

This is a great place to people watch, grab a quick bite or drink, or to sit and relax, sipping a nice iced hazelnut latte while you conduct oh-so-important business on your SmartPhone prior to work. It’s one of my favorite spots to kill time, to unwind, and to just be. The people-watching is great. Every time I’m there, there’s this religious guy in a snazzy suit who acts like the mayor of the place, schmoozing with all the workers and manager, and acting as an impromptu bathroom policeman, alerting unsuspecting wankers and pishers of the horrors of the facilities being occupied, G-d forbid. There’s a unique mix of JAP-py teeny boppers and twenty-somethings who never stopped being teeny boppers, the endless parade of suits and various hues of button downs, Stern College students, and others, all craving certified kosher caffeinated delights. The iced hazelnut latte is delicious, creamy, rich, and sweet, and unfortunately, if you plan on staying inside the establishment, you need all the iced options you can get, as it seems the air conditioner is never working at proper capacity. In the back, where I opt to sit, you simply do not feel any air, and the air dispersing machine there seems to give it away that they’re, to be charitable, parsimonious about ventilation. Alas, the iced beverages prevent heat stroke. I also dislike that they often use much-needed tables as a place to store supplies and provisions, but other than these minor peccadilloes, I find the staff to be kind and helpful at all times. Great people all around. As for food, I find just about everything to be fresh and crisp. The salads are all kosher, meaning you won’t have to worry about finding those yummy thrips, aphids, and red spider mites in your Nicoise or Caesar salad, as a rabbi lovingly and diligently(let’s hope) washed and checked the leaves for critters, and the baked goods are yummy and not overly sweet. Try the Breton cake, a muffin-shaped croissant with a slightly sweet, crispy top, flaky throughout. Went remarkably with my latte.

I love coffee bean and have been a fan since they have opened first in California. But it seems as if their quality of service is sub-par. 99% of the time when I come to this location I usually get something to eat as well as something to drink. When I get to the register to order I feel as if the cashier is always in their own world. Every single time they forget to give me a bag for my order, usually forget to give me my change, and forget about my food in the microwave/toaster which makes me wait an extra 5 unnecessary minutes.(Which is a lot when you need to get to work on time). This definitely won’t make me stop going because I enjoy their product. But they need to seriously step up their service. I’m starting to get tired of their forgetfulness and«airhead»(for lack of better words) reaction to forgetting something.

I literally go to this location every day and while the food and drinks are great, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. A lot of the workers are consistently rude and clearly don’t abide by the“Customer is always right” rule. In fact, they don’t even abide by the«Customer is sometimes right» rule. They are rude and unprofessional even when they are in the wrong. Someone needs to teach them a course in customer relations. People in my office have experienced the same attitude problem and aren’t ever going back. I hope management reads this review and actually cares to improve the customer experience.

Walked in, in need of a pick-me-up, and ordered a thai tea latte and a couple macarons(cookies and crème and… some other one. The fact that I cant remember tells you about the macarons). The thai tea latte was alright — it seemed to strike an unfortunate balance of not being quite thai tea-y enough and not latte-y enough, but it definitely wasn’t bad. The macarons were bad. They tasted very close to nothing, yet managed to be overly sweet? Doesn’t make sense to you? Didn’t make sense to me either, yet it was happening in my mouth. Anyways, given the stores proximity to touristy areas I was surprised that it was very slow with only a few people situated at tables on their laptops. There was no line when we ordered and the place seemed just as well-kept as most other coffeehouses.

this is THEE worst coffee bean and tea leaf i have ever been to. SUPERUNSANITARY apparently they don’t wash their containers and whisks before reusing because i found disgusting residue in my drink and had to throw the whole thing away(see my picture for reference). not to mention the staff is extremely rude. i waited over 10 minutes for a simple vanilla coffee and the girl gave me some random drink not knowing if it was mine or not. her response was«i think this is it can you just take it and go». i dumped it after one sip and just left since i was already so late for work. she even gave sass to a customer before who nicely asked if her drink was the one waiting on the counter. worst place ever i would stick to the many coffee carts in midtown or anywhere else but here. disgusting. unsanitary. rude workers. WORST way to start your morning.

Quiet lunch spot. Friendly staff! Good prices for the area. There’s a bar at the window to sit and a few other tables to have a coffee, read, catch up with a friend.

Ordered the pure mocha blended drink today *no coffee* Absolutely phenomenal. It was blended perfectly, whip cream is optional. When I got here, the line was a little crazy but the staff knocked the line out in awesome time. Would definitely come by again.

This location I found to be not as up to par as other locations. The staff was nice, but they seemed inexperienced at making drinks, and there was confusion when picking up drinks whos was whos. I don’t usually write many reviews, but I want more coffee beans to come to the east coast so please get it together! I visited the location twice and ordered the same drink(a simple vanilla latte). The first visit my latte tasted awful and watered down. The second day it was extremely sugary and not very warm. I was disappointed since I love the CB so much and order from their website frequently. The DC location is a million times better and I wish they would expand in the DC area.

I’m amazed this place has four stars. The staff stood there yelling at each other while ignoring the massive line of guests waiting to order. When they finally did take my order they glared at me and handled me with an attitude that said«F*#k you.» Rudest, most unprofessional, unwelcoming staff I’ve ever encountered, New York or anywhere. Don’t bother. There are too many other coffee places that don’t treat their customers like garbage.

I’m usually the type that steers clear of starbucks coffee and when I need coffee I’ll go to either a place that’s close like the Coffee Bean or 2 beans down the street. This place is efficient and tries to get you in and out ASAP. I enjoy their hot coffee, teas and oatmeal when I do come to this location.

The WORST french macrons I’ve ever tasted in my LIFE. Never again. They looked sooo nice and the flavors sounded so unique. But ew. Stale and dry. I didn’t try them until I was home(back in BK). Otherwise I would’ve taken them back. And the nerve they have to display them in a case on top of the counter. Taa… The matcha latte was good. Staff was nice. Place was clean and quiet.

Do you like watered down iced coffee and lattes? Then check out their unique method of using crushed ice to fill the cup with a higher water to coffee ratio. If you need your iced coffee stronger, walk a block in any direction for a different coffee shop. Decent hot coffee and bread selection

I’m not a big coffee drinker and this is the only place I know of that makes my two favorite drinks: Vanilla Ceylon Tea Latte & Dark Choc Blended drink. The tea latte is amazing, it like a chai latte but a more milder less in your face type of flavor. Dark Choc ice blend actually has coffee but you would never notice it because all you taste is the rich dark cocoa flavor. I like that it’s not overwhelmingly sweet like the frappucinos at Starbucks.

Great place for breakfast. The staff is friendly, the line moves quickly, and they have an awesome selection of kosher baked goods. I’ve tried their muffins and cakes, and they are both delicious. I did taste the spinach cheese croissant once and was not impressed, but that’s only one thing. And yes, they have excellent frozen drinks here. Five stars… wish they would open up a location in my area of South Florida.

Stopped in to see what all the fuss is about. I don’t go for those high calorie blended drinks so I opted for a lighter vanilla latte, which I don’t normally go for, either. Everyone keeps talking about the vanilla powder they add to drinks being phenomenal so I wanted to incorporate it somehow. Well, I ordered a SMALL and it was $ 4. I tried to hide my shock at the price but decided to proceed paying and left. I’m sorry but… no. There is nothing about this vanilla latte that is earth shattering, life changing or delicious enough to ever shell out another $ 4 for it ever again. It actually tastes somewhat artificial and too sweet. I truly do not understand how so many people can afford to pay these kinds of prices for coffee on a daily basis. Nope. Wont be back.

Good coffee. My friend complained about the long wait-time, but it’s NYC — every place has a queue out the door; it comes with the territory. I think my cappuccino here was better than they at CBTL in California(where I’ve had one at least 200 times).
